One record warm day does not proof of global climate change make, but the trend over my lifetime is crystal clear.

I think they changed the climate zones on seed packets to reflect the new conditions.
Also on sites like wunderground, they give the average for the last 15 years. To go back further would sque the results.

We are having another sunny day here in Larry Land. At 1130 it's sunny, 74F with 64% humidity. Forecast high of 78F with a 10% chance of rain today, and a low of 60F tonight. My 10 day forecast extremes are 37 and 81. Looks like Spring is coming early.

We are expecting 2 feet by tomorrow. I have a flight out this afternoon. Hopefully I won't spend a week at the airport.

But wrt global temps, a little snow and arctic air doesn't mean a thing. So it's 8 degrees instead of 6. Climate change fully supports pockets of cold awful weather. It also supports far more energy in storms, both snow and rain.

So a few cold stretches mean exactly squat. It's the average of temps and especially ocean temps. We are seeing tropical fish much further north than they used to migrate, even in the gulf stream. Even lobsters are fleeing north.

But for now I have to deal with traveling through an impending snow storm. Not fun.

Another nice day here in Larry Land. At 1730 it's clear, 70F with 42% humidity. The high today was 74F and the low tonight is forecast to be 48F. That is quite a bit cooler than the 61F this morning. My 10 day forecast extremes are 38 and 80, with 4 days of possible rain.

Low 50s and partly cloudy. This is seasonal weather. Not complaining about the lack of -10F weather this year lol

I'm expecting this summer to be ugly here. Colorado isn't used to triple digit temperatures. In the past we've gotten them maybe a few days a summer... Except for 3 years ago, that summer blew away all the old records. I'm afraid this summer will be like that.

As much ink as fire, flood and earthquakes get, heat is the number one weather related killer. Mostly in places not used to it.

The all time high temperature ever recorded here was 104. That summer three years ago did not set a new record; but it tied that 104 reading on 3 separate days in early July!
That is hot. But it's a dry heat. {jk} My sister's ex's daughter from Co Springs is down on the Gulf at Destin for a few months doing an internship. She was having trouble dealing with our 80's in February. She will be hurting this summer.

We have heat advisories all the time in the summer. They tell you not to work outside in the heat of the day. I bet all the roofers and road pavers laugh at that. Or their bosses anyway.

Long time no see. We had a nice day here. The wife and I have been walking in the longleaf pines behind the house. Nice to be off the road.

At 1845 it's 71F with 71% humidity. Our high today was 83F and the forecast low for tonight is 59F. And Spring is still over 3 weeks away.

Most everyone is over on IG. If any of you want to look me up, I'm Larry Sandhill over there.

Crazy hot spell here finally gave way to a snow storm and more seasonal temperatures in the 30s. Zero threat of the single digits I clearly remember from my youth.

I over did it on popping seeds and once i started up potting in ran out of room in my tent and moved them out to the greenhouse. I lost a few males from Dr81 i would have liked to use some pollen from and i still have to many. It's nice to have this place going again.
