We had a bad one back in 1976, it killed over 130 people.
40 odd years ago, I guess. {time flies when you are having fun} Sister lived in Longmont then. Spend all her free time in the mountains. We saw it on TV and it was a couple of days before we heard from her. I was too young and dumb to be scared {I was 15}, but Mamma just about had a nervous breakdown.

40 years ago, that was. Ft Collins flood was 20 years ago. Last year we had a nasty flash flood that hit much of the front range from the Wyoming state line as far south as Denver. Each of these was called a one in several hundred year events but my old school math says more like every twenty, lol

My fathers favorite was Bob Dylan. Cant fucking stand him with that whining voice. Sounds like he just sucked a rock down from his crack pipe and tried to sing, sorry
I'm the same way with Journey and REO Speedwagon. They damn near ran me out of high school on a rail for it, too! Fuckers.

Growing up we lived about 3.5 hours from Dallas (in Shreveport) and my father would play fucking Bob Dylan 8 tracks first, then cassettes for the whole trip back and forth to Dallas where his folks lived. The trips were fine except for the music, whining fuck

He was listening to the words. Those words are if anything more relevant today than they were back then.

Sunday morning weather in Ft Collins is sunny and low 60s, with a lil taste of fall in the air. Crisp and lovely!

Hey guys. Larry here. Sorry I have been AWOL. My work laptop died, taking all my passwords with it. It took me a few days to decide on a replacement {refurbished HP from newegg.com}. But I'm back with a new name.

It's sunny and warm today in Larry Land. 80F with 41% humidity at 1455. No chance of rain and a low of 55F forecast for tonight. I stayed at the camp last night, and it got down to 57F. This is our first day of fall weather. {I wore long pants and long sleeves to work today. First time in six months} My 10 day has 10 days of sunshine with lows in the 50's and 60's and highs in the 80's forecast. I can deal with that.

I've been reading some of the threads, trying to keep up. {my password I wrote down when I started the account wouldn't work. Neither would the gmail.com account I had set up for it, so I couldn't get to them to ask for help} If I ever vanish again, my new weed e-mail is [email protected].

But I have picked up a new hobby while I was RUI-less. Some how I got to watching youtube vids of the AT. Now I've got the bug. Last week I bought some {cheap-ass Walmart} trekking poles and dug out my lightest pack, and have been hiking for at least a mile or two almost everyday. Nowhere near real trail legs, but I'm not gasping for air after the first mile now. If only I could quit my job without getting divorced. . . . .

What does AT stand for? Good to get out and get that exercise I know. I need to follow suit myself, just hard to get motivated to do so, especially when Im up until 3-4 and up 530 daily. Walking around like a zombie. I also hear you on the job deal. If there were a way I could barter with services/goods for payment of everyday shit I would do same. Ive never believed in the system we have (ie jobs and money). I should have really been born 200 years ago

Appalachian Trail. From Georgia to Maine. It takes six months to hike it, thus the need to quit my job.

Thanks. It was weird not being on here. But I'm going to prune my thread list. Social media have a way of soaking up lots of time. I have a small pack here at work that I've weighted to 20 pounds, and I have been putting in an hour with it every night. As long as I don't lose the rubber tips to my trekking poles I will be golden.
