This is always the hottest time of year for us. The third week of September is when it starts to cool off most years.
That's how it generally is where I'm at, too. We've had an unusually cool August and September (so far), by which I mean it's been in the low to mid 90's for the most part. We're hitting triple digits this whole weekend, but it's going back down. No rain to speak of yet, but that's typical, probably see some come October.

I don't know about Florida, but I think it's safe to say my area is through the worst of the heat.

High hurricane season!

How's that going, anyway?
That little one that came through blew all the rain out of the area. For a day. There is a couple riding the Trades now. Will have to see what they do. So far only one of them showing tracks my way. The other one looks to be a nasty one for the Outer Banks area next week.

well under my first frost warning tonight, crazy it was 95 48 hrs ago!!
And I'm yet to see the first low in the 60's. Although one of the local TV weather watchers said it was 69F a few miles up the road from me. I'm not sure his station is calibrated correctly.

Dark is great at this point is my understanding on this but you don't want to trap anymore moisture under there in the day than you have to. Unless it is pouring rain i personally pull it back. My battle is with cold and frost though nowadays..when back home VT i would shake the heavy moisture out and fly plastic, making sure enough air flowed thru....mold was, and probably still is the norm. just a cost of doing business is how i looked at it...I still love the hunt !

If I set up that tarp tomorrow morning before I head to work, is that going to screw with the flowering? It’s a pretty dark tarp.
The sun is the power source. Blocking it will slow down their growth, but won't cause any reveg type issues.

Filtered sun again. High of 70 with 15 mph wind off Lake Michigan. Absolutely perfect!

Long range no rain, all sun, highs from 70 to 80. Wisconsin perfection!

Good God it has been raining non stop in the Northeast the last two days. A family member gave me an unused, large, mental frame tent/ gazebo few years back. What a crop saver. Durable thick material with a vented top, fabric and screen mesh with zippers on all 4 sides.

It's been pouring rain for hours now.

That sounds awesome, do you have any pics of the tent?

Blue sky with a breeze and comic book white clouds floating by and 70. Man o man it's been a long time since nice weather and clean air.
This hurricane has cleared out my rain too. Yesterday was the first day this summer that I had 0% chance of rain. It's clear again today, so maybe the rainy season is over and my young stuff has a chance to go rot free.
