Hey guys I'm taking a drive downstate next week and am wondering what's a good grow store close to 127 that I can pick up some soil? I have actually never been to a grow store in mi yet, I pay a lot of shipping in the u.p. Haha

I'm going all the way down. Ohio for some walleye fishing.

Then its to your advantage , might as well get to know the northern stop but when downstate take advantage of the big stores , they have warehouses and buy in bulk hence passing on the savings to attract more sales ..

Sad to say but this is how the soil monopoly works , shit even Ace hardware sells Fox Farms soils cheaper than most stores due to there ability to buy it in mass .. Go Ace is the place , but dont expect anyone there to have grow knowledge lol unless you get lucky and find the highon in charge of the popcorn machine ....

Haha that's funny you say that because the do it center in Cali had fox farm everything for way cheaper than anywhere I had seen. I'm trying to find either a good local soil or roots. My last bags of fox farm had extremely varying ph. One bag was 4.5 another 5.5 and another at 6.0

Thats the norm from my experience with the fox , I wouldn't grow in it without dolomite lime supplement , MSRP on Roots Organic is about 26.95 sad to say and that is only 1.5 cf .. There premium blends went up as well thanks to Hydrofarm and Sunlight supply ( Greedy Corporate Bastards )
You can look for Michigans Marijuana M3 mix downstate as well but I hear the prices are jacked up on this ..

Yep I have noticed some fucked up problems with fox farm since I started using it again here. In Cali it was perfect every time. In my experience Gardner and bloome has been the best I have used. I had a bag of fox farm that definitely hadn't been composted long enough, with s 50/50 mix with light warrior my runoff was over 2000 ppm. The run off looked like my hydro res. The other plants that got the same mix but from a diff bag the runoff was like 950.

Why pay top $ for shit that could very likely have gnats, Ph out of whack, needs perlite added to drain properly n lime. And Cal mag

It's better than miracle grow haha. To ship soil up here costs twice what the bag costs so ive been stuck using ff. I'm trying to pick up a good amount so I will drive a little out of the way for good soil. I got tons of tasty amendments and only fox farm to throw it in, pretty wack haha.

go to msu-
-get a trailer (bulk) full of their world famous dirt from the soil and turf skool ....very good stuf!

then go to the a2 dump and compost and get a load of their world famous compost that makes the dump there the greenest in the country--did you know that?

ann arbor waste treatment uses organic nationaly recognized practices to make compost and it is also very good and sold in bulk--

perfect, that's what I'm looking for. Lansing is perfect.
small jog out of the way, but..
Big Green Tomato in Battle Creek. I know they sell certain bales for $30 each if you get over 5.
Carry Promix BX HP Bio and the BX Bio, and Sunshine #4. Along with the M3 Soil, if you wanted to give it a run.

compare the price, and see if the extra drive is worth it.
