God Told Me To Murder Someone

Crack open the bible, God talks to lots of people, often telling them to do violent things.
God gave Moses the 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai. One of which is "You Shall Not Murder".... God would not contradict herself ... therefore it's not God telling you to commit murder... it's Satan posing as God.

Now for goodness sake... put down the crack pipe and go sleep it off ;)

P.S. I don't actually believe in any of the religious fairy tales that religious people tell or write (a la... the bible) .... or in "god" in the way organized religions present the deity.

So have you actually ever read the bible? God not telling people to murder? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Sigh Mathew was just trying to make a philosophical point, he was not saying God actually told him to kill people...

God did have the Israelites kill some people but that was in the old testament. After christ came, things changed.

Well, killing someone is not near as rare as talking to god.

I wouldn't be worry about killing someone and more like "HOLY SHIT, this thing that everyone talks about is actually real!"

Then I would think I was crazy myself.

hes being hypothetical im pretty sure
theres no way to disprove you, but you have given an example of why religion cannot be trusted as a source of morals, pretty much cause religion is a bunch of bullshit designed to control the masses

i believe in and take my morals away from western philosophy, but i dont follow any specific religion, i jsut try to live my life in a way that seems just and good so right before i die i can spark one up and think positively about my life
am i a cold-hearted atheist? no. im a pothead whos listened to wayyy to many lectures on socrates and plato bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Where God may command you to kill someone for righteous reasons, He would never tell you to murder someone.

"Thou shall not murder"; people do get in other people heads; so except God put a time line on it, I would do a careful deduce and scientific method to the matter. Why would God tell me to do this? What are the deeds of this person God is telling you to kill? What is the reasoning behind me, and them?

What is the nature of the person: evil/wicked or good; this particular question should narrow the potential command as if its God's will or someone is vainly in your mind.

You must determine if the person is wicked/evil by nature/heart or by manipulation of mind by someone else who has an evil nature.

Jesus Christ or Satan?

Does it glorify God's perfect Order; is it for the greater good?

Can Jesus' sacrifice reason the person?

Would it be better for you to suffer; thus, by doing so you will condemn their souls/conscience to the reality of the second death.

Thus, did God mean in the flesh or of the soul? The death of the soul is the worse of the two: flesh and soul.

if thats true...then why does the church say that woman is the root of all evil, and drugs are bad...?

christianity is fucked up....that dude talking about stealing a bike and asking for forgivenesss...now THATS christianity...for sure...christians rely on the faith to fill the absence of evidence....

i read the cannabible...and i have faith in the evident fact that gettin high everyday will make things ok!!!
