Getting tired of Recreational ruining it for Medical. My Bitch Thread.

I don't like the fact that some of the medical places bud quality has gone down while prices have stayed the same or increased. I started growing my own because I have not been impressed with the quality at the dispensaries lately seems like they rush the product and top quality has for sure gone down. I have seen things on shelves here in the springs that even management said they were pressed to put sub par product out because of lack of supply. But rec needs to happen on the same behalf hopefully they can increase supplies and refine techniques to increase yield or find more efficient ways.

I am just a total snob since growing my own.

I hate when people grow better weed then me. That's my biggest gripe. Lol

In all seriousness i think that rec being dominant is a fad that will eventually slow down. I imagine most residents will be more interested in going medical since the application fee went down and doctors are getting cheap as well. I don't know why, when given the option to pay either a rediculous tax rate or a reasonable tax rate people still see getting the red card as unnecessary or dated. Certainly, colorado residents will eventually convert to medical for the tax break and only out of staters or very recreational(read light consumption) customers will make up the majority of the customer base.

I totally disagree that big pharma is going to eventually take medical cannabis into their fleet of cash machines. Even with terpen, canibinoid and other chemical isolation and identification they will not be able to produce as consistent a product as their guidelines will allow.

Mr troll, what we will see is a totally new industry that has federal guidlines custom tailored to paitent needs and product control and probably maximum levels of chemicals present. They will regulate and make brand new money off of it. The goverment, with all of their patents on cannabis research findings has money to make, and i believe that future is coming fast.

The system is out of whack right now, and is way different then the medical scene was a year ago, algore has every right to bitch :-)

I hope you are right blowingupjake :)

but at the rate this industry is growing I can't believe big pharma won't do everything within their power to take the lions share.

and with the lobbyists they employ and the fda in their pocket......

Joe, don't even get me started on the FDA..... you are absolutely correct that the fatcats with all of their puppets
will step in, purchase patents from the us gov and make us all pay a pretty penny for the original human cure all... hopefully the medical cannabis community will reject such an idea and cause the new federal era i was fantasizing about in my previous post..

A guy can dream, right?

dammit guys! I'm not trying to troll here but you guys are missing the big picture IMO.

medi is on the way out. Big pharma is on the way in...that's the way it will be.

and as far as rec...I doubt this flies for long either

you guys need to develop a backup plan and not get too comfortable.

I hope I am wrong on this. I really do.
I see it the same way.
They have the lawyers and lobbyists.
When the dust settles anyone with more money is going to take over.

Really what the original post is all about.
MONEY.

doesnt this kind of suck for the people who actually need medicinal cannabis or are we all just going to pretend that our backs hurt or what? i see recreational as a way to actually reinforce medicinal cannabis and to spur research for those who need it but all of us jumping on the pain relief bandwagon or whatever certainly arent helping people focus on the most serious legitimate patients. more people will see who it actually helps if there are less people gaming the system. once rec prices fall more closely in line w/ the medical market (and they will) then whats the point? eventually the retailers are going to have to eat some of that tax just like they used to w/ medical (when you'd walk in and pay straight $40/50 for an eighth, they were paying the sales tax out of that to keep the price in line w the black market).

im almost perfectly healthy. to be honest when i had a red card it felt kinda dirty sitting in a waiting room beside someone who was obviously suffering from chemo or ms...

Pharma makes their money with patents.. they are not interested in growing ganja..

The #1 money maker for ganja growers will be for recreational.

No? I've been wrong before..

As for the rest of your points, you are either a fail troll, ignorant, or have a problem reading. Kindly fuck off please, thanks!
You claim to be this well educated hard worker but you don't even have a basic understanding of how a discussion works?

All I have to say at this point is most of you clearly don't understand that according to state law, Medical marijuana is different from Recreational. If you can't understand that then get lost, lol, fucking idiots thinking they know better while living in a state without medical. This has nothing to do with the fact that you live where it's 100% illegal. It has to do with what is happening here, where medical marijuana has existed for over a decade, I can't help that you are still living in the last century.

The entire point of this thread was to point out the dispennsaries that are taking advantage of the situation and/or being shady, you know, so serious patients like myself that require quality medicine know where to avoid. Even if TGS suddenly went back to how it was, I would never go their again because of the way they turned on the customers that have supported them for years.

Starting to think the one dude might be a shill for some dispensary btw, that or a belligerent jelly fool, lol.

so if i lived in CO and tell my doctor some bullshit like i get headaches.. i should pay less then everyone else? nope.. you go to a store to buy bread, then you go buy bread while your hungry.. should it be cheaper? .....
if anything the prices being kind of high right now is a good thing in my eyes. look at the profit CO is turning from it. i could care less if its 10 billion a gram, i grow my own instead of bitching about prices.

How did I miss this thread? A whiney OP that invokes Econ 101 when he clearly has little economic sense. Who just moved to a state and now thinks himself the state's leading expert and only one qualified to speak about it. An OP who thinks he knows how to argue but his most frequent point is "fuck off".

Where have all these people been coming from?

Thank you for thrashing him.

The rec taxes make the price higher, why not bitch about that? At least we have the right to grow our own and not have to pay someone else to run a business with all it's associated costs just to get us high.

Thing is a lot of sick people can't grow their own and still can't afford medicine at med prices. If you aren't sick and have a red card well that's on the individual. Until health insurance is forced to pay up for these medications shits gonna be all fucked up.

and that last part will never happen until big pharma takes control.

I would put a c note on it

naah. insurance won't pay for unproven treatments.

big pharma is always investing/researching unproven treatments.

there are people around here with a much greater understanding than me, for how these things are being worked on.

Miss you annie :(
