A Trinity does not an individual make. I've heard the arguments in favor of the monotheistic nature of christianity before. It comes down to this: Christianity claims 3=1. Untrue. 3=3 and 1=1.

You are correct about the Muslims and the Jews being monotheistic. Christianity is based on the Jewish faith, but it diverges when it comes to the Son of God and the Holy Spirit.

unfortunately i have not studied the jewish event enough, but it looks like the debate around 'the son of god' issue is more semantic than logical.
