Ganja Queen's Stealth Micro Grow

Thinking of attempting to germ a couple seeds today of a strain that I crossed last year, Ramrella (Mother: Cinderella 99, Father: Rambo).

Since my grow is a little boring at the moment, thought I'd post some pics of the parents :D

C99:

Rambo:

Was a good harvest that summer, miss my tent!

Wish I had more pics but stopped taking them as I got closer to harvest, got too paranoid :(.

Rambo was a very robust plant with nice fat Indica leaves. The c99 was very stretchy as most sativas are, and the bud was the most amazing I ever smelled. Soooo fruity and an amazing high. Curious to see what kind of babies they made!

I'm scheming on converting this into a grow cab

I believe it's over almost 5ft but will measure with tape measure tomorrow and get the for sure dimensions.

Might be willing to invest in LEDs...or maybe even 150hps if I can figure out adequate cooling and use the little black cab as a mother / clone box. The possibilities are intriguing. Definitely putting in some research and coming up with some kind of plan.

A couple more pics (yes, I'm a nerd lol)...

My baby is thriving in her ghetto space, have the lights all up on her:

Where I live is perfect for indoor growing. Even without proper setup / ventilation, is keeping nice and cool:

Like the dresser. How deep is it and what's your plans for it?
Not sure how deep...have to go to work soon but will throw up measurements tomorrow.

As far as plans, not exactly sure yet because I literally just started considering using the dresser after looking at some stealth grows. Will probably gut it, glue drawer fronts in place and have it so that the back opens. If I used 150w hps (which I probably will), will invest in an inline fan and come up with some creative ducting. Will probably have to go the cool tube route and make it myself so it will be small enough to fit inside. I could have bonsai moms and clones in the little black cab and then flower in the dresser. Maybe a 12/12 perpetual...so many options! Will probably work out a plan tomorrow since it's my day off and will have plenty of time to come up with ideas.

Hardest part is the plan. I have a half done tall cab but I want a wider and deeper one so I can do some hps. I'm interested to see yours done

Funny enough I just came across a free dresser Friday coming home from work, contemplating building a cab out of it myself.

I say go for it, personally just need to save up some cash because everything is going into my GTI build right now.(Dropped $5k on it last week alone, and 3 weeks ago spent $3500 for a new engine)

Agree most definitely...do you have any pics of your cab? Maybe we can trade some ideas and help each other out?

That'd be awesome if you decide to build one, be sure to share if you do. The whole concept of having a completely inconspicuous grow is very interesting :D

I need to save up some cash too honestly, so will give me time to make sure everything is planned right and can look for the best deals on the things I need to buy.

Forgot to take measurements of potential dresser cab....

But I did manage to finally finish installing the doors on my small cab and fixing it with a key lock on the front :hump:. I have no idea wtf I am doing when it comes to carpentry / woodworking, so I really had to wing it and am surprised that it came out looking halfway decent lol. Took pics with a Febreeze canister to get an idea of scale...

Took white silicon sealant to the inside, mostly the bottom since there were a few open spaces where the bottom was separated from the sides.

This little project has taught me that I have a lot to learn, but at least I learned to paint, use a drill, handsaw, and somewhat properly measure thanks to Youtube haha! I definitely want to learn more, love working with my hands despite the stereotype that women belong in the kitchen :p.

Tomorrow, I'm heading out to a computer store and looking for a decent PC fan for the exhaust so I can finally get my baby in there.

Question for you guys...do you think I can get away with one fan in this small cab or should I go for two?

I plan on the intake being passive and located on the bottom it's nice and elevated. Was also shooting for a 120mm fan.

Things I have left to do after buying exhaust fan...

-Covering bottom in garbage bags and sealing to waterproof.
-Possibly might need to install false bottom since current bottom is cardboard.
-Making a black/white poly removable velcro 'curtain' that sits directly behind door to ensure tight seal and prevent light leaks.
-DIY carbon filter
-Another fan (PC?) to circulate air on the inside.

Thinking that I can have all of this done by next Friday.

As long as it has a good enough CFM for negative pressure I am sure you can get away with just one fan.

Build is looking quite clean ma'am!

I respect that you enjoy working with your hands, but where is my bacon sammich? :bigjoint:

You'll have negative pressure regardless with just an exhaust fan. Just remember if you cut a 3" hole for your fan, you'll need two 3" holes for intake. 3 one inch holes is not equal to one 3" hole.

I'll probably push the air through the carbon filter by having it on the outside rather than relying on negative pressure to draw the air...heard that is more effective for pc fans?

Thanks for complimenting the build, happy I didn't screw it up.

Lol...bacon sammich sounds really good right about now.

nice cab setup, go with 1 fan, if it needs 2 you can always add another. good luck :-)
Thanks emann and that's true, can always add another :)

Well it's 120mm fan so will have to go bigger than 3" and I'm familiar with intake to outtake ratios but thank you ;)

Took a peek at my seedling today and she is a little bit droopy. Am sure that it's not due to overwatering as she was fine yesterday and it's been about 2-3 days since she was watered. Am also sure that it's not heat stress because the temps are between the low and mid 70s. Her 3 bladed fan leaves are beginning to grow out and noticed that her first set of leaves have not really gotten that much larger despite the next set coming out. Compared to pics I have of other strains at this same age, she is a tad on the small side. I've grown quite a few plants from seed and have noticed that this is usually the first signs I get of N deficiency before the yellowing of leaves. Usually, I grow my seedlings in a substrate that is devoid of nutes and water them with organic nutes as soon as they pop from the soil. I have never nute burned my plants. This is my first time using Fox Farm Ocean Forest so I decided to wait before feeding since FF already has nutes and have heard people say they usually last the first 2 weeks to 1 month of growth. Well it's day 11 and I'm pretty sure she's wanting some Nitrogen and the soil is dry enough, so I gave her a light diluted feeding of a special organic feed that I make myself. We'll see how she responds.

Also, ordered a 120mm pc fan rated at 70cfm for only 8 bucks, free shipping. Should be here in the next few days and then I can finally move her into the cab :).

It does, doesn't it.
You should get in the kitchen and make one, go ahead and make one for yourself while your at it. ;-)

Do you think your girl could be hitting the start of being root bound? (Can't tell how big the container is.)

Hope she recovers and perks up for ya.
Cheers

hahaha!

Container is 30+ ounces. Have flowered plants in even smaller containers before so she shouldn't be root bound this early.

Am almost positive she's just hungry. Should know in two day's time or so.

Ah, pics can be hard to tell sometimes, here I was thinking it was like a yogurt cup.:wall:

Lol you aren't wrong though...it's Greek yogurt but a big ass tub :D. Buy it in bulk because I eat a ton to meet protein requirements.

Greek yogurt is the bee's knees. A huge tub is even better. Everything's looking good though. Is the soil pre-ferted? If so it might just be stress from that. That's how my girl was the first week or so, but then shot the hell up lol.
