you topped those plants perfectly, they look exactly like lugnutts instructed, Sweet as job , and all your efforts on your hydro are paying off big time
Thanks man
Yea, the RDWC is KILLIN!!!
Recovery times are gonna be short after prunings.
This should get vegged out and ready to flip soon!

I topped the third plant today but I'm gonna leave the lower foliage for now to maybe help boost her to catch up a bit.

Did a complete res change out yesterday.
Got this little transfer pump in the mail yesterday from amazon, really made the chore easy!
It takes 2 "D" batteries and works pretty good.
Re-filled with 10 gallons of water and mixed the nutes full strength for 7 gallons.

Well, I took out the Phillips CDM lamp this morning and put the Metal Halide lamp and ballast back on line. (one plug and 2 wire nuts)
These plants are staying too compact.
They need to veg out a little.
Let's see how long it takes to see a difference.

Started to try to bind them down, but it is difficult because the branches are staying so short.
I will leave the weights on for this week & see how everything responds to the MH.
The 3rd plant is just too short to start bending yet.20150221_083212_resized.jpg20150221_083225_resized.jpg

I made the little cover for the pots and put a flap on each slot.
Helps keep the light out of the tray thru the net pots.
I have some real small sized growstone that I need to rinse and pile it in the tops of the pots to fill in the open spots better.
I will probably need to tie the plants directly to the net pots so I won't be able to use that cover much longer.
That way, I can still pull the plant and pot out of the hole if needed, at least till the plants reach a certain size.

thats such a cool setup fishdeth looks even better in video, how much power does your setup draw? on avarage a month? power in nz isnt cheap its ruffly 22cents per kwh our line charges are $60 a month and GST on top of that is another $60 lol and thats our cheapest power company lol our monthly is about $300-450 but within that my setup cost about $25-$30 a month makes a single wage and family of 4 see hard times lol

Shoot... I don't know how much power???
I know this run should be a little less than the first run.
The new light is 315 watt and the ballast runs on 240 volts.
I am running the pump and a large air pump full time, so maybe it equals out.?
I just blame the higher lite bill on the hot tub ! ;-)

Had some heat issues the past couple days, so I HAD to get the Koolatron wired up yesterday.
It is starting to cool now and I just checked it and the soup is 70* and possibly dropping.
