Take a look at this thread, they use a tub sorrta like yours, and airstones, and they give some good pics of thier roots, and PPM levels and the use of hydrogen peroxide for root health in this type of set up,, plus they rocked the harvest under less light than what your going to use,, gives some fantastic hope for your future harvest also
here is the thread,

I will try to take a short video of the air system on first then the whole thing running, including the fan on low.

I got the relay cube and mount today from an electrical control systems place... $14.
I already have a new length of wire to run the 220.
I was gonna get it wired up this weekend for a test drive, but going on a brief holiday, and it's Stupid Bowl Sunday!
Soon tho!

Man... once the roots hit the soup, IT'S ON !!!
I keep asking myself why, when the roots are doing SO good swimmin in the soup, would I take them out of the soup and put them in stones and drizzle the soup over the roots, like in the last run (NOOB) ???
This time is gonna be excellent.
They will leave the AG soup for the super oxygenated soup in the new system.

BTW, I added to the tap water, 1 ML each of the GH flora trio and 1 ML of Humbolts Secret "Golden Tree"
Also started a batch of bennies (AquaShield), even tho I will change the res out on Sat.
I am taking NO chances with the roots.

ok so whats going on with the Phillips ballast, cmh? digitally dimmable?

and what are you going to do with the relay? is that for turning the pump on and off? :peace:

CDM ! ceramic discharge metal-halide (CDM) lamp
The ballast runs on 220v, so the relay connects the 220v circuit when 110v is applied to the coil in the relay, the 110v comes from a cord plugged into my timer.
The color spectrum of this lamp is supposed to be phenomenal, SO much better than CMH, runs on less current and puts out a lot less heat.... can't wait to get the girls under this !
Supposedly you dim the lamp via the ballast to 210W during the veg stage then back to full power (315w) for flowering.
This not only changes the brightness, but the color spectrum as well.

very nice fish

Been learning about Arduino and relays, so I was flat out curious about your relay and great way to poke a tid bit lil more efficiency by going 220v :)

I have heard of many switching over from hps from the heat and its legit. I have a friend using cmh[660's] and a couple of the new induction lights just getting started in the mix, but predominantly cmh.....

His flowers are sought well out.....I have smile anytime I get the privilege of visiting the garden.....

really nice upgrade, this is getting serious! :peace:

Finally got the PH stable, changed the res today and upped the nutes a bit.
I kept track of my feeding schedule from the first run and I am going to reduce that by 25%
It's dark up top but somethin's brewing down below.
I finally got babies in the freezer area like I originally intended

Update on the plants, pretty much on autopilot right now.
I am wondering how long I should keep them under the floors before transplanting to the CDM ???

Broke out the trimmings I had in the freezer from last grow and whipped up a NICE batch of QWISO hash.
Nice solid block, 2 grams !

I got the new CDM lighting system all wired up and running a heat test right now !

And I put a bigger piece of reflective material on the back and put the old back piece in the door.

This pic and the video to follow do NOT do justice to how freakin bright this puppy is.
You can see right off that it def has a more camera friendly spectrum !

It always amazes me the things stoners are capable of. That is some very proper looking ingenuity. Respect bro. Outstanding!

OK... ALL you lurkers... everyone, anyone... QUESTION:
The plants are at 3 strong nodes and the 4th is poppin right out.
They are 17 days old.
How soon should/could I put these under the CMD?
I can't refer to my first run because I had to veg longer while out of town.
I want to get these under the big light as soon as it is safe to!
