it's a store. farm markets are factory outlets. I prefer a store for both purchase as a patient and sale as a distributor. I give 25+ hours a week to growing, I don't want to also give up 12 hours of my weekend with the kids and wife at a market. its my opinion. mom and pop stores exist for everything still and so does walmart without much issue. I wouldn't even begin to regulate your grow with these laws, I don't want that either. I like budweiser, and I prefer Bell's but I also brew at home. bud uses tons of $ to keep Bell's interests and their own in political minds and I brew beer at home without regulation. This is how I would like to see marijuana with those choices for consumers. big guys like BUD little guys like Bell's and other micro-brews and room for the home brewer to do his thing.
In a perfect world, that's how it should work. But you know as well as I do what happens when the big money players move in. They don't give a fuck about you and me, and will walk all over our rights so that they can make even more money. If I hadn't seen this story play out in this country a 1000 times over, I might trust these guys a bit. As it stands, I don't trust them as far as I can throw them.

I hope that you're right C&T, and everybody plays nice, but there is BIG time money to be made here. These players already have boat-loads of cash to buy political favor in Lansing, and they won't hesitate to bend us over if it means they will benefit from it. Any time there is this much money at play, you have to be suspicious.

I mean, a friggin Republican is introducing the bill!! If that doesn't stink then I don't know what does.

OH DON'T I KNOW IT! My eyes popped when they said rep from Mt. Pleasent will be... I think it's served us best to study the original prohibition-alcohol- and reverse engineer it. so far so good, medical was a last ditch to keep booze flowing when it entered in and it's helping us gain ground now to repeal it. So what was it that kept home brewing of beer legal when prohibition fell on alcohol? More importantly why and how is distilation of liquor at home illegal and how was that done? I ask because I don't really know. I don't trust them either, be clear on that but like I have said before Bell's beer benifits from the lobby of budweiser and their $. I don't know if big corps actually fear the home grower as a true threat to what they might acomplish should legalization be achieved. Its my thought process and opinion tkae it at that but we must think hard and long and look at our past to see our future on all things. We sure as shit won't beat them at money and power so we only have intelligence left but it's the big one and can be enough to get us all what we want.

I've always tried to have the highest quality product possible (not always successful). This has got me through, and will continue too. I don't know which way it will all go but in the end I will still do my best to produce the best and I imagine that will be enough. Everyone else is concerned with regulations and outlets and such. I have always kept it small (not trying to get rich) and have always had people waiting for more before its cured! I think if you follow a business plan based around quality there will always be some cash waiting for you (legal or not). When it is all big money running things I figure the good "home brew" herb will still fetch top dollar and have people waiting.

Buckaroo, how about getting out and doing something since you're such an old school warrior? Why leave us young dudes to force the change that you want to take place? Get off your fucking computer where you write an essay for ever person's comment and recap your entire life of smoking herb, and working out west. I can't even get through our posts because 80% of what you say is irrelevant to the conversation, so my brain turns to mush trying to decipher a valid point in your verbal diarrhea.

And if you guys don't tthink big money is already here in Michigan, you're crazy. All the dispensaries are just people with money that purchase herb from any patient or caregiver that comes in. Farmers markets are great, but I would like to see dispensaries regulated so they have to produce their own medicine. The quality is too all over the board at every shop I've been to. The owners of dispensaries in Michigan for the most part are not even growers, just yuppies with money.

One thing regulation has done in Colorado is keep the Feds out. There are dozens of legal grows licensed by the state with 1000+ plants flowering in one facility. Have they raided these grows? No, not a single one. You guys want the Feds coming in or would you prefer the state to take in $50-100 million a year in revenue to help balance out the state budget?

No one is going to come take your grow from you, no one will stop you from getting meds. All of you jokers against dispensaries are obvious part of the lucky 40% of card holders that don't use the shops. What about the 60% of patients that don't grow or have a caregiver and need a spot to safely pick up their medicine? You expect a 65 year old cancer patient to walk into a smoke filled place blasting punk or rap music like g3c? Not everyone wants to be around 40 people heavily smoking for the 20 minutes it takes to pick their meds.
