would you guys think now is a good time to Fim or top for the first time

by the time your plants have reached their 6th to 8th internode they should be mature enough to handle to stress of topping or anything of that sort.
you could do it sooner, but your plants will be able to handle it better at that point.

Thanks fingerling for the input I think Ill wait a bit cause it is only may and they have so many more months to go outdoor. Unless there are significant advantages to topping now.

I love experimenting with cropping and chopping, tying, and manipulating the plant. The advantage is the experience you attain.
Effects on bud production are interesting

Alright so I went to my plot today and found something weird. 2 of my plants have bent in half and started to LST then selves. Has anyone experienced something like this before? I decided to just prop them with a stick to make sure they dont get week or fall. They look healthy so I am just going to let them do there thing let me know what you think.

those plants are super cropped, not LST'd..... either a strong wind or a stick (something like that) bent the main stem and since yur plants are small it couldnt withstand it so it bent, but theyre obviously healthy because instead of anything "bad" happening it just started to grow as if YOU had super cropped it..... theyre looking good. id just do my best to make sure nothing like that but wors happens.

I think an animal got to one of mine. It layed it completely down at the base of the trunk and it split. The plant keeps growing though, laying flat on the ground!!! it's pretty cool how all 12 colas are the same height. hope its a girl....

i tied down an entire plant like that last year.... ive never taken pics until this year but i wish i had one of that.. deff. cool though... and your yield should be killer... good luck man.

hey thanks guys we have had some pretty wicked weather here the past 2 weeks with some storms. Probably was the wind. Looks good tho as long as they continue to grow.

great plants!! when do u expect them to start flowering?

I expect them to start flowering in August sometime. One of the strains is a quick flowering plant only lasting 6 weeks i believe. I will get more pics this week of all of them I have 15 of them.

Alright so I went to my plot today and I found that one of the plants that fell almost in half has corrected it self and now has a s shaped stem. The only problem I seen with the plants is one of them was laying down on the ground so i propped it up and the leaves are droopy see the pics toward the end. Besides that everything looks good. My one plant that was eaten by a deer a few weeks earlier has started to re-grow like it was topped see pics.

pic #4 is the one that got hit by the deer. Pic 10 is the one that bent and is not the shape of an s. Pic #8 is the other one that got bent and is still super cropped. The last pic of the one that I found laying down that I propped up.

what yall think?

Dude, those plants are way stretched. I think the wind just picked up a little, that's why that one fell down.

I don't know man, I don't think you're getting enough light there.

yea i know there stretched what can i do to stop that I cant dig them up i dont have another plot. What if I top tthem???

any suggestions?
