I'm not sure what kind of nutes I am going to use...I never used them in my grows before. Yes its been in the 30's here at night the past couple days...like you said it's just starting to get nice around these parts finally. When I post my next pics you will be able to see what I'm talking about having limited space and why I'm thinking about putting them out early. Any suggestions on what nutes to use I am going to keep them in the plastic cups till I put them in the ground.

Alright so these are my babies at 14 days veg take a look tell me what you think. Still have something bothering my NL plant pics will show that. The last few pics are of the NL. 24 hr light schedule.

Questions:

1) I am going to be moving them outdoor by April 25-26th should I start doing `18/6 now?

2) What is the best kind of bug repellent I can use on them once I get them outside?

I'm subscribed.... Check soil air and water, it could be any number of many things, (the yellowing degrading leaves) depending on your grow situation... sorry I haven't read your whole journal yet, but I will be around checking it out. You shouldn't need to harden them off so much as they are seedlings, but you might want to let them grow one or two more sets of nodes before taking them outside and transplanting..... just my opinion.... they look like beautiful heavy indica strains (my favorite).... :0, happy growing....

yes I have Mountain Mist and NL plus a strain that is unknown right now...I got 5 free seeds with my seed order so im not sure but yes looking Indica like.

When would be a good time to top? Should I wait till after I transplant? The only reason I was going to move them next week is due to lack of space in my box. It is hard to maneuver inside. Also I am watering with tap water that is set out for a day in a half gallon container with no top.

I normally start at the 4-5 node range, then i top and after those 2branches get good sized they get topped, and maybe even a third time if i get and early start, right now my 2 plants are about 6-8 inches and growing good and one has nice fat stalk on it and is looking really good, just topped it about 2 days ago already sprouting new tops, but i used the FIM technique this time:weed:

thanks a bunch for the reply...some of them are at about the 5th node now i will be topping soon i suppose
5-7 nodes is perfect for topping or transplanting, when you top there is a surge of root growth, so I always transplant, wait a week or so and then top.... but you don't want to bot top and transplant at the same time!!!

I transplanted my babies outside on April 25th knowing we were going to have 4-5 days of warm sunny weather. They seem to have rooted well and I was surprised how much they grew in 5 days obviously was not much shock to them. On the other hand some of the leaves are yellow but some were when I transplanted as you can see from the previous pics. At this point they are 1 month into veg and I have not given them any nutrients yet beside what was in the soil. I just watered a little today...our next 4 days are calling for rain.

Alright since the last time I posted pics it has been raining everyday. I went out today and noticed no signs of to much water which is great cause now I know they can handle a lot of rain. Sprayed some deer repellent around them and also emptied about 8 20 oz bottles of my own urine to deter deer and other animals.

I have not fed nutrients to theses plants yet and it is 2 weeks after the transplant. The plants are now 5 weeks old. Been outside for 2 weeks. What would be good nutrients to start them off with. I have never used Nutrients on my grows before I really want to do this right this year and I want Lush full Plants.

emptied about 8 20 oz bottles of my own urine to deter deer and other animals.:spew:haha! WOW

im speechless, i respect your dedication tho!

chicken wire or fishing line works great for me and is 1,000,000 times less nasty!

as for ferts, miracle grow sells 6lb bags of chicken shit for like 9 bucks. it has lots of nitrogen and you can find it anywhere, lowes, k-mart, home depot, wal-mart etc... be careful tho cause its strong shit! you can also mulch around them with some compost.

as for the ph, most organic ferts have a low ph so whatever you throw down should lower it abit, but throwin some lime around will keep shit in check.

thanks for the input j998....i just figured with the piss Ill give it a try and see if it keeps animals away. Ill try the fishing line tho that seems legit Ive read around and seems like a lot of people use that. Does anyone know what I can spray on the plants for bug protection.

its all good, i usually instinctively piss around my plants when i go check on them, it's wierd i always have to piss when i get there, just a lil tho, like how a dog marks it's territory.

as for bugs, if you have the the dough buy yourself some neem oil concentrate. i think its only like $20 bucks for a bottle that'll make up to 16 gallons?. look for greeneem oil i think its one of the better brands if i remember right? i just ran out of cash for my grow so im just usin a garlic/dish detergent spray that i make myself. 1/2 head of garlic and 1 tablespoon dish detergent per 1 litre of water. i made it in a 2 litre soda bottle, i just shake it up here and there for a day then strain it out through paper towel/coffe filter into my spray bottle. ive never used it before but i remember readin about it awhile back, its suppose to take care of slugs and most insects. it smells like soap with a hint of garlic, but it tastes real bitter wich is supposed to keep slugs away? idk judging by the smell and taste it seems like it's gonna work just fine, most big box store organic sprays are similar but youll be buyin $5 dollar bottles of it all summer!

good luck!
