i wouldnt increase the watering at all.. its more about how much nutes they can use.. not the water.. you can up the concentration of nutes if you want... but i wouldnt increase the watering itself
Whoa buddy, I just grabbed a jewler's loupe on the way home, as I read it really would help w/ being able to ID the readiness of the autos.

And WOW, it's a x20 magnifyer & mans there is some really cool shit on 'em.

I see all the little crystal "strands" that are standing straight up & erect now.

Am I correct they I am waiting for those guys to get amber before choppin. ALL are still nice & clear & your timeline from lat week still looks to hold true (bout another week or 2)

Also, once they go amber, is there a limit how many days before you need to get choppin before you pass some magical time period? As in, if I saw 'em go amber on say a Tuesday, will it be enouugh & proper time to let them wait a few days (so I can start flushing), and also as chop has to go down on a weekend, so I can make arrangements, etc.

Sorry to be all plannin out & what not, my "situation" is just a bit sensitive & have to ensure that I have proper time allotted, etc.

Thanks homey, getin super pumped, specially after seeing those babies in the loupe. Been seein that shiz in magazines & what not since I was a teenager, super pumped that they are MINE!!

All thanks to you again home

I dont think its mold. There is like no humidty in my grow rooms. i have a oscillating fan on giving them air for the time period that the lights are on!
i went back like 5 pages and didnt find your original post... if you can repost it if you still need help and pics that'd be great...

alright.... so what your seeing are called trichromes... the little mushroom tips on them is where all the good stuff is...

you are waiting to see them start to amber... how much of them is ambered will alter the high..

10 to 25% amber/75 to 90% cloudy - more head high

50/50 amber/cloudy - more of balance between head and body

90%+ amber/10% or less cloudy - couch lock style

you have plenty of time to harvest.. just check daily for doness using the above as a basis for when to cut.... flush when you want to add about 25% more doneness before harvest... by that i mean lets say you want a 50/50 amber/cloudy for harvest... begin to flush when the trichs are about 25/75 amber/cloudy...

hey nice little post, idk if it has been mentioned before, probly has but its 100 and some page long post...
im using jiffy peat 7 for cuttings, if after a week, a cutting looks weak, stem is bent and cannot hold itself upright even tho it looks green still, does it have a chance to make it?
probly rotting but i thought i'd ask anyways, this happened to 4 clones and i noticed they were all sitting on the edge of the tray where they stay in contact with the inside of the dome which is wet, so im guessing thats the leading cause.
overall tho its a good medium to clone in, apart from those questionable 4, i had a 92% success in about a week, the strain is LSD

Great dummied down guide for doneness!

Dude, I'm super pumped. My personal preference is as couch locky as possible. So you're sayin that is gonna take the longest?? All good with that.

Thanks for the quick reply, freakin pumped dude. Thanks for evthing!

pics look great.. you'll prolly want to let them go another 2... maybe.. and i mean maybe... 3 weeks... the longer they go the more couch lock you'll get.. but they should be done enough to harvest in the next week or 2...

it sounds like the pellet got too moist and the stems rotting...

you want to keep the pellets moist for sure.. but its better to try to keep them moist by spraying the dome and keeping humidity way up than to spray them... they are good to use tho...

sounds like you have cloning down pretty well... thats a good success rate... how is LSD??

Howdy SS,
Had first major light f-up today...three weeks into flowering, pineapple express the first to start showing some baby cotton ball sized buds just a few days ago. The other strains just showing initial white hairs at this point.

Was running a 1000 watt HPS and decided to add some CFLs to supplement. I used 8 100 watt equivalent 6500k CFLs. Is that the right spectrum?

Anyway, last night when plugged in the CFLs to test, made a stoner move and used the ALWAYS ON outlet, DOH!:spew: The lights run 7pm to 7am. Just fricken realized that the fricken HPS went off this morning at 7am as usual but the fricken CFLs stayed on (an extra 7 hours).

What to do? Let the 7-7 cycle start back as usual tonight? Give them dark until tomorrow at 7pm? Feel crappy about this....are we bound to have hermies now? Most of the plants left after weeding out the males we feminized...does that help or hurt the chance for hermie with a light f-up like this??

Any feedback is much appreciated!

Edit: Whoa! I had read this thread through page 125 before posting this...decided to catch up on the last 4 pages I hadn't read and there is a rash of light f-up questions. Weird. So more dark is better to reset things huh. Either way it looks like the 7 hours of extra light is a bit more extreme than the other recent cases. Still looking for a specific recommendation to get back on track. Thanks SS

yea.. extend the dark period to catch up the light schedule to the right time... its better ot have too much dark than light in this case...

you should be ok.. but you might (and i stress might) get a hermie from it.. but its not likely... just try to get things fixed and keep them going the right way...

thanks for sayin the chics look good.

Was wonderin for the photo gals. I assume that it does not matter what 12/12 schedule I put them on, corrdct? (They are 24/0 since seed, and wondering if going from say 6am - 6pm would be the same as going from 6pm-6am). With my particular "situation" I mentioned a few weeks back, it may behoove me to have them run thru night time & sleep during the day. I guess I'm just wonerin if cannabis has some aversion to livin a nocturnal life during bloom I suppose.
Also, what do you think about runnin a green light bulb (in a regular lamp) in closet during dark period so that I can work in there if needs be. I heard that using a green lightbulb will not fuk up photoo requirements. Your thoughts?

THanks as always.

Also, the girls in cubes are gettin a wee bit big (which is awesome of course). believe you were right. They got stunted for round a week I suppose, but they have really taken off & have developed some thick ass stems (way bigger than I thought could be achieved in a 3" cube). Man I love this shit, im straight strung out goose. preesh all teh wisdom.

I believe most cubes will be fine with the 2-3 weeks left on autos u recommeded. However, I have a few that are almost maxxed out on vertical space & may need to entertain pruning options (or anything else you may perscribe).

Lemme know if a pic of the tray w/ the photo girls would help you make prognosis.

got 600 in the other day, so that little biz is cocked & locked.

lemme know the score.

preesh doc

12/12 anytime bro.. i personally dont think there is a better on/off schedule (say 6 to 6 as apposed to 10 to 10) over another... its pretty much all the same...

i'd say go ahead with the green light.. but i cant say it with 100% certainty... never tried it so i dont know for sure...

you may want to consider super cropping them now... or doing a little LST work... or if they really need to be stunted for a minute you can top them.. normally i wouldnt recommend that.. but it will stop growth for a few days and buy you some time..

Thanks dude...so to clarify your saying to let em stay in the dark until tomorrow 7pm, then resume the 7pm to 7am light schedule? Or did you mean let em stay dark until 2am (an extra 7 hours of dark to offset the 7 of extra light) then resume regular schedule?

Also are those 6500k CFLs the right spectrum to be using?

k.. did some research... found out some things.. if you have white cotteny mold its ok.. its actually the beneficials in the soil exploding in growth... very good sign... as long as its nice and white and not black and/or green your good...

let them stay in dark until the normal time you would turn their lights on... so if you would normally turn them on at 7 am let them stay in the dark till then.. then resume lights on/off...

idk yet, i heard is very potent tho
heard the same thing.. just wanted to get some more input and ideas on phenos..

well all i can tell you so far is that its a very easy strain to grow and very forgiving when it comes to mistakes, i remember my seedlings at one point looked like very dirty dental floss, then when they got to mid veg stage the person that was looking over them kept forgetting to water and the soil got so dry that the first litter of water went literally straight throu the pot, there was over fert problems, my clones rooted in 6 days with humidity of just 80% and so on...

honestly i cant really complain, i do have another problem that i posted on another thread that i'd like you to take a look at and give me your opinion:

I have a question thats more related to resizing a plant than to getting the extra colas, i have a mother plant thats about 8 months old and like 7' tall!!. I made a rookie mistake of putting it in a 7 gallon pot thinking it was gonna grow to around 5' but when i realized it was gonna match Yao Ming it was already too late, now i have the "penthouse" very heat stressed cuz their so close to the light and no tenants on the 1st and 2nd floor cuz the light doesnt penetrate that far, im still able to get a lot of very healthy cuttings from the middle but this is starting to become a problem cuz the lady just wont stop growing and pretty soon its gonna hit the ceiling so....

what r my options here?

dude, I believe I just successfully super cropped x3 of the photo girlies. All props to you of course. I think i did it right, I mean they are bent over @ 90degree angle to match those photos you took on the "Super Crop 101".

I gotta say my man, I do mean this with all do respect (u know how much I depend on my goose!). But for real dude, you have a very well written / spoken way about you. You articulate things extremely well & use everyday analogies to make understanding the serious shit ur breakin off even easier.

In that guide especially, but in your thread too. I mean comparin the super cropped girls to "scar" tissue in humans, is spot on. Just as a brief example.

You're the shit, I thank you for it all.

Just please lemme know if I am blowin ya with all my questions & ass kissin. You just are a breath of fresh air in this type community. By that I mean that a very large majority of folks on this threads are... well there straight up stuck up priks that believe that they are the ganja fukn king or something, with all the wisdom one could ever attain, and forget their roots, that everyone was a newb @ one point.

You've acknowledge that several times, and I just wish there were more like ya my man. You remember that you were a newb once (long ago, in a galaxy far far away).

But enough for the ass kissin, ya know I preesh -ated. Just want to re-affrim that you do indeed kick ass.

yeah, my point was that (again with all do respect), as well articulated as you spell all this shiz out for you. Its quite interesting to hear your vernacular when you speak on ur utube vids. Totally nottryin to bust ur chops or anything.

Through the written word I just woulda thought you were some rogue college proffesor or something, had I not seen vids.

A unique gentleman you are sir. But the service you are GIVING me, and my other fellow newbs truly is invaluable. Just hope maybe we can link up sometime down the road & over the rainbow to TRY & repay you for all your time homey.

Ok I have the earth juice pH up for the soil, but there are no instructions on the bottle. I'm having a hard time finding any information from their website too. *So these crystals raise the pH of the soil? I mean yeah they were running on 5.5 forever and now this last time I tested and they dropped (as much as .75 on one). I find it dumb there are no instructions included with the purchased product, and I still haven't been able to find any on the website either, or in google or anywhere.

start out adding a tsp to your solution and water.. let sit for a while.. check soil ph.. and adjust more if needed... just gotta do lil by lil

A whole teaspoon? Are you sure? What little bits about this stuff on the internet I could find, people were mostly saying it was super potent and would only use a drop at a time (but no specifics on with how much water or for how much soil). Do you have personal experience with it? And you do mean go little by little each watering right? And NOT *sit there and keeping using it with water until the pH reading is correct

Hey bro, dumb question, but been meanin to ask for a while & keep forgettin.

When someone asks how many days old the girls are.

Do you start counting from the day that those little baby girls peeked their heads out of the rooters.

Or from the first time you took a viable seedling, and placed into a larger container.

I'm assuming it's the prior but just wanna make sure.

Also, I got some crazy colors (pretty much all diff. shades of yellow on the autos). I mean EVERY one of the larger gals that has a cola of any descent size has totally discolored leaves all over.

I've read some autoflower threads that say it's normal. But man, if the plants weren't thriving in every other way, I would be very concerned.

You an see what I mean little from the last pics I posted a few days back. If ya need some more, let me know.. Hopefully this is a common situation.

And finally, I started to see the first little teeny bits of amber on the most mature of the gals.

And good thing too, cause even after super cropping the larger guys (which I assume went well, as they are still kickin it @ a 90degree angle, and still alive).

But for real, they are bout 1 month old now. (I know I shoulda listened to ya & waited to pop 'em goose). Love to learn shit the hard way evidently.

Anyway, I remember you sayin that they were good to go for 3-4 weeks. I am at that threshold now. I mean I'm not gonna rush the autos to finish, so they gonna have to make it. I guess I'm asking if there is anything other than supercroppin or anything else. Can't move the tray anywhere & cannot possibly get flourescent any higher than it already is.

Thanks a bunch my man, so very excited bout all my ladies. THanks for the tech support.

ya.. i woud start with a tsp.. no personal experience.. but u arent trying to adjust water ph.. your trying to move soil ph.. which takes more work.. and ya.. i mean raise it over time.. try to get it up a little bit at a time...

i count from first transplant into whatever im vegging in...

theyll turn yellow at the end.. almost every strain does that.. its just pulling everything in to the flowers for ripening.. its completely normal...

besides actually topping them your pretty much out of options... id say harvest the autos in a few days.. let them be what they are.. and concentrate on the photos... which will be much better all around...

Yeah word, lookin forward to seein true photos in action. & not fukn the dog letn another male loose.

But do ya think that cubes will be ok for 1 more week (chop next weekend 3-27) to let autos finish, Or are ya sayin @ this point w/ the autos bearin seed, take whats there & move on?

Essentially, will i do any irreprepable harm lettin cubes mellow til next weekend.
