I'm moving to Florida and hope the legislature stays in the talking phase for at least 6 months so it builds some more momentum.
As it currently stands 700k/24m signatures which means there is a long road ahead of legalization.

-I hate to be that guy but all the old brainwashed people, will probably vote to kill it

BUT WE CAN DREAM :)

How hard is it going to be to get the permits to produce for pharms? I'd really like to get into when it first starts. I'd love to find others who want the same thing.

Everyone needs to read the fine print. They are trying to pass for medical purposes but....not like California. It will be for terminal and cancer patients etc. Not for people with back pain, anxiety, depression, etc. But hopefully some changes can be made. Legalization for recreational use is a long way away tho.

It'll be more like california than any other medical state on the east coast

That's not true at all that was the opposing side argument was the law was to specific that it gave the doctor the right to deem if medical cannabis would help the patient re-read it

Im all for the terminal getting treatment. After that statement on the bill it says and as a doc sees fit. Meaning if the health risk from mmj is less than the risk of pharmaceuticals you my be a shoe in.

The whole concept of telling someone what they cannot put in their body is and always will be irrelevant in my opinion. Is it illegal for a person to drink poison knowing it's poison? ?Would be a dumb idea, but people do it all the time. So what's any different with someone smoking a NATURAL HERB that comes from the f'n ground!? I swear, governments are like the worst thing to happen when it comes to freedom of choice.

http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/pulp/2014/02/why_medical_marijuana_will_kil.php These are the types of opinionated people that we are facing with this bill.
But the language of it will make it very badass in the years to follow if it passes. I'm sure there will be doctors like in cali that will just prescribe it for a nominal fee since the language states debilitating diseases or any other condition that the dr sees as the risks over-weighing the disorder.

Wow, cool thread. Central Florida here for 15 years. In south Florida for 10 years or so. Happy to see some fellow Floridians trying to legalize mmj. Amateur indoor grower for 5 years.
