Oh btw the first pic Im trying to show you guys my light setup but it didnt turn out too good but here is my light setup for now.....dont hate, im pretty broke

LIGHTING :
  • 2x cfl's @ 13W each
  • 4x fluorescent bulbs in the hood assembly (from a saltwater tank, used for growing coral) @ approx 30W each I think
  • 1x 65W flood light. Friend passed it over to me, he used it to grow a plant at his house

oh and a few leaves got burned from the light, no biggy.

I do have a concern though, some of the tips of the leaves are turning brown and part of the leaf is dead? I dont know what it is.. I was thinking it could also be burn from the CFL's

Very nice looking considering the amount of light you are using also you let them stretch way too much, you should of replanted and buried them to the first set of leaves as stated earlier in your journal, you're growing bean stalks.

I also started with standard light bulbs (like a dumb ass) and had real bad stretching problems, as soon as I posted pics I was told to replant them to the first set of water leaves, I did that, added some cfl's and now my plants are growing nice and tight.

Cool but I would recommend putting some gravel or small rocks in the bottom of your pots, I read that somewhere after not doing it and now my plants are sinking in the pots, I may have to lift them out and ad some gravel but I'm a bit hesitant because I don't want to risk damaging any of them, as they are growing so well I may just leave them this go around.

The only thing is if I don't lift the plants up the bottoms of the plants will get no light, it's hard enough to get light to the bottoms of the plants to begin with, I may just trim the bottoms take a couple clones or something.

Keep up the good work keeping your babies alive!
