Hey again all! First things first...Mach, Santa is a fat lazy slob, but he finally got off his ass and went to the Post Office LOL.

Secondly, our project has expanded drastically since the last time I posted. Another patient has joined the fun, so now we can have 24 plants . We have gone hydro and am running 7 plants in five gallon buckets with airstones. There are five Durban Poison/White Widow hybrids and one Super Skunk (a gift for my mom, who is also legal) in week five of flower. There is also one DP/WW about 1 week into veg in a bucket. Then there is a SS in dirt in flower at the same stage, 1 mid auto assassin cross (the ones we did ourselves) thats about 1 week from done, and another of the mid autos that has been in flower less than 1 week but is starting to show hairs. The hybrids we bred are cool because they get larger than typical autos and although they must be manually switched to flower they keep the density of the autos while having a shorter flowering time. Then in the veg area there is a DP/WW mother, a SS mother, a mid auto mother, a little sprout from some excellent bagseed I got that had been accidentally pollinated (holy shit there was alot of seed in that bag LOL) and a perfectly functioning cloner that will hold enough to keep us right at our limit. The veg area moved to the closet to increase humidity, and has been working great. The flowering portion has been expanded and now measures approx 8 feet long by 3 feet deep.

*Sidenote VERY IMPORTANT IF GROWING HYDRO!!! If you have trouble with slime or buildup or colored roots, buy Botanicare Aquashield. That shit rocks! It will take nasty brown roots to bright white and healthy overnight. I'll never run another bucket without it!

Oh, and btw, BUMP

Gonna have to check that out.

Wow sounds like a lot of nice things going on, that DP xWW sounds like a winning combo :) Where are the pics, lol.

Glad to hear everything is going well

Thanks Bill! Oh, I figured out the problem that I mentioned in my PM...its powder mold :( So I got the recipe for baking soda, water, and dish soap, and I'm gonna give it a try today. I'll get pics after the powder shit is gone off my two girls.

Def check out the Aquashield. I acquired a new mentor whom I have been getting meds from for a very long while, and he said that is the reason my last hydro venture didn't work out so well. I use it in my cloner now too, and my cloner works like champ. It's homemade, out of a plastic shoe box. I spent a grand total of 3.50 on everything I needed to build it LOL

I have a couple of questions for anyone that might have an answer. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get some predator mites to eat up the freakin spider mites that I just cant get rid of. Also, is 22 lb capacity enough to hang the bulb and hood for my 400 watt HPS?

I will be done with class next week, so I should have a little extra time for updates and pics, I apologize that I haven't been on top of it lately.

I doubt your hood and light weigh that much, you should be safe. As for the mites, fuck. J/k what treatments are you using right now, or already tried?

I have a 400w hps with a euro hood and I think it is right at 18lbs (a LOT of that is the glass from the euro hood). My hangers are rated to 30lbs...but as it was pointed out to me, two hangers will support 60lbs if the weight is evenly distrubted...so if you have 22lb rated hangers, shouldn't that support up to 44lbs evenly?

Thank you for a more informative answer :)

Hey Silent! Thanks to u and Bill for stopping by. Actually, I think the yo yos I ordered say 22 lbs per pair, thats why I was wondering. But I don't think there is glass in my new light, so I think it will be okay.

Bill: Yup, Fuck is all I have to say about them too LOL. I have used insecticidal soap by the gallons, and a Neem Oil mix, and frankly I'm getting tired of doing that kind of shit because my grow space is my extra bedroom, and I'm gonna end up fuckin up the carpet. I was reading about predatory mites for a project for class, and thought that at 50 to 80 bucks per thousand that might be the way to go. Now the only problem is finding them LOL

Thanks for the link Bill! I just went and ordered 1,000 green lacewing eggs. The internet says they are voracious eaters, and they "pierce their victims with their sharp mandibles". That sounds sufficient for the revenge I would like to be exacted on those damn mites LOL

You might want to invest in a light mover, that way you get more coverage with the same light.

We are tearing apart the room and rearranging today and tommorow. My light mover should be here today, I hot a humidifier to cure the powder mold problem for good, and my lacewings should be here in the next day or so. My new hps is waiting to be hung, and I'm psyched! I'll get pics for ya'll when its done!

Hi again! We finally got the hps up, the mover hung, and the lacewings released. Things are looking good. The first couple pics are the flowering area, then there is one or two of the veg area too. They are really liking the new hps, I can't believe how much a difference it has made in only a week and a half!

There is a skunk, a couple durbans, and a couple mid autos in flower. The veg room has Skunks, Durbans, Pineapple Express, and Mango. As soon as the Durbans in the cloner get feet we will cut a batch of Mangos and then perpetual harvest here we come!!!
