So I know this isn't the best setup, and not the best way to go about it, but, I do have plans, things just happened, and things came up that through the plans off.

I found some seeds in some floor boards left over from the old tenant.

I figured "hey what the heck, let's try germinating". So here we are 5 days later, and roughly 6 hours after taking it out of the paper towel & putting my t5 on it, and this is what I have.

I guess I wasn't expecting this and am not entirely sure of a few things.

1. How far away should I have this t5? It's 4x56w 6500k HO. I know what to do if it was a clone, or if it was a node or 2 high, but it's not even rooted really.

2. Should I just follow watering when the top soil is dry and not cool then I should water? Or should I just mist this daily?

Poke fun of the setup if you must, it's all I could come up with while making dinner for the family. Like I said, have a room, but nothing setup yet

Thx, all advice appreciated.

I've heard of people germinating random bagseed but floorboard seeds?

You can put your T5 pretty close even when its a seedling. id say 2-3 inches is fine. If its too far it'll stretch. closer than an inch it might burn. It seems like you're wasting a lot of light in my opinion tho with the T5s. I'd say just keep your top soil wet and mist they still like it pretty humid at this stage.

Ya I'm guessing he dried, or trimmed in the shed. It had a ton of fan leaves all over and trim, he was definitely messy. Especially if i found 11 seeds without trying, and that's on top of the 6 plants I had sprout up in the middle of my backyard after the ground thawed and the snow was gone.
