mist them, you need to mist a few times a day to keep the leaves from dehydrating as they have no way to uptake water w/ no roots :) im not much of a club person either but i would rather go to a decent club that plays decent tunes then some lame ass bar that you sit on a bar stool untill you fall off of it.
I agree with you on that. I'm sure me not being a drinker plays into my disinterest in that whole bit. I mist them and the dome 2x a day. I think the topped one might be too stressed atm. And the other one may have been pulled out of its rapid rooter on accident, possibility damaging what roots it did have. Hopefully they pull through and are ready to flower once the current crop is finished.

worst case just take a couple more clones, use small branches under the canopy that probally wont provide much yeild anyways :)
That sounds like what I will do. I was gonna cut all those suckers out tonight anyway, and several of them are perfect to use as clones! Woo hoo!!! I can +rep you again finally :)!!!

Last night, I trimmed yellowing undergrowth and buds that won't ever see any light through my dense ass canopy. No clones taken though. Everything I chopped was too small and weak for a viable clone. More pictures tonight! 7th day of flowering!

clones dont have to be really strong they just have to root, once they root and are put under 18/6 they develop on thie own. a seedling that just shed the seed pod is weak as fuck but it grows and develops fine :) my 2¢

You may be right, but all of the potential clones I snipped were 2" or less with super skinny weak stems. Wouldn't have been able to do much with em' I don't think. All my current clones are still alive.....miraculously. :). Can't wait to get the veg box built and running to get a perpetual of sorts in motion! I kinda want to grow a couple girls without lst to see difference in growth/yield. I gotta believe the lst produces more. At least for my setup. I'll probably just keep tying :)

On a side note, bb #4 in the solo cup is confirmed female! A little extra bud for me! That makes 7/7 bagseed females, incredible!! Also, two clones are looking pretty rough. The bb clone that was accidentally beheaded and another bb are getting very wilted. Stems are nice and strong, but leaves are drooping a lot![/QUOTE]

Had a thought on this. Either you hit incredible odds (buy that lottery ticket yet?). Or what if the seeds in the bag were from a plant grown from a feminized seed. Would that mean all her seeds would be fems too? Im probably missing some obvious reason this is wrong but wanted to put it out there...

And that has girls that like to :hump:

Only if its my wife :)! Not sure about the seeds. Good question. Anyone?
Fem'ed seeds come from plants that were them themselves feminized. How is this so...? God finds a way. Not much unlike the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, fem'ed plants when stressed, will herm' (turn to Hermaphroditus) and grow pollen sacks, then able to self pollinate themselves. Unfortunately for the girls it only prolongs the 'i aint' got no man issue' because the resulting seeds will only have the chromosome for a female plant... unless you stress them just right, then this is the song that never ends...

I am clearly dense. I read that like 4 times and couldnt parse it. Does this mean yes the bag seeds were from a femed plant? (unless Loyalty just hit really long odds). I follow on herming but assuming no stress/self pollination would her seeds be females?

Fantastic bro, thanks! haha, especially appreciate the Jurassic park reference :)! So, if my seeds came from a feminized plant that hermied, are my girls predisposed to turn hermie as well?

From the little bit I know, it depends on the genetics. and of course the stress you place them under.

Breeders breed and test generations of plants to ensure lowest incidences of "hermie" seeds but my understanding is that any plant will self pollinate if stressed enough. Of course, there are other ways to produce feminized seeds as well, but breeders can create "feminized" seeds this way.

Someone who is way more educated about breeding might complete shoot that statement down.. but that is how I understand it.

ok heres the scoop on feminised seeds.

a feminised seed is created by taking a solid female (one that is not going to hermie naturally) and forcing it to hermie, then collecting that pollen and pollinating another female plant. what this does is it pollinates with 2 X chromosones, the only way to get male offspring is to have a XY chromosone, naturally this occurs when a male and female do the deed :hump: but when you force a female plant to make male pollen that pollen does not have the male chromosone therefore cannot produce male offspring.

im no genetics master but this is the "General concept" you can look more into it by googling it there are alot of threads out there that explain how feminized seeds are made.

i actually was thinking of someday trying my hand at thios process but that wont be for a while.

Makes sense to me.. Didn't realize that they took the pollen from those plants. I thought they allowed it to self-pollinate but using it on a non-stressed female makes a lot more sense.

Thanks man good info!

Update: Day 7 Flower

Hey everyone. 7 days into flower yesterday! Here are some pictures from last night. First are my clones. See how rough they are looking now? A lot of yellowing, bright yellowing on the clones. The smallest clone has even turned white where it was yellowing bad. Wtf is that about? I think tonight or tomorrow (whenever I build my veg cab) I'll throw them into some solo cups with some soil and see if they do any better...hmmm....oh well. Maybe Ill plant my blue cheese and blue dreams bagseed and try to get those going also. Also, my standard group shots of the girls. My canopy is wall to wall and very dense. My next run i think i may only put 4 plants in, 5 at most. 6 is just too crowded! Hasn't started throwing out any hairs really yet. Just the ones it already has are getting really long :). Tallest Tops are up to 18" now. shortest tops are at 15-16". I let the main stems on the girls grow a little taller than the other tops at the end of veg. I figured even though i have lots of tops, the main top would still produce the biggest nicest bud. So, I wanted them to be a little more exposed to the light than the rest of the canopy....made sense to me anyway. The kush #2 is the back middle plant and it towers a few inches above the rest of the ladies. She's stretched quite a bit! Enjoy the beautiful ladies and the weak ass clones! :leaf: Peace!

Sorry, that's what drinking and typing will do for you.
As for the bag seed, i came in to late on the convo and just threw in my two cents. I'll crawl back under my rock now...

The bag seed has been 7/7 girls? Sounds like good odds for fem'ed seeds to me, but the only way to know for sure is time. (grow them and see)
on the last bit though, as far as I understand all seeds you find on a plant that didn't have a male growing around it, are going to be girls. - if any. I've grown a few pounds in my time, and when I've had total control over the environment I've only ever seen two little dinky seeds. I have them saved as a matter of fact because I was so amazed. - and to remind my self how awesome I am - j/k
