Hey RIU!!! You can call me loyalty I suppose! I've been stalking over the forum and grow journals for quite some time now and finally decided to start my own grow. I've learned much from all my reading, but still am no expert by any stretch of the imagination. YOUR KNOWLEDGE/HELP WILL BE INVALUABLE!! I'm going to run a soil grow with bagseed blueberries, afghan kush, and either a headbandz or AK-47 (not sure which it is )!
Equipment:
3x3x6 1/2" osb plywood cab. Painted flat white w/all seams caulked.
400 watt mh/hps switchable ballast w/cooltube (it came with yo yo hangers. They felt cheap, so they were quickly replaced with chains).
171 CFM 4" inline centrifugal fan
80 CFM inline booster fan
200 CFM rated carbon filter
Filter----->booster fan----->cooltube----->centrifugal fan----->exhaust

Solo cups for seedlings.
6- 4 gallon pots.
Fox farm ocean forest soil.
Perlite.
Fox farm trio (Grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom).
Hi/low temp/humidity gauge.
PH test strips (hopefully will get an actual meter for PH/PPM)

After a test run on cab the I have a high temp of 80 degrees and a low of 70.
I have a high humidity of 45% low of 38%
Temperature outside of cab maintains 72 degrees and I can hold my hand 5-6" under cooltube with no burn.
With all that said, I hope you follow me on my journey! Happy growing!:eyesmoke:

3:45pm- germed 8 seeds using paper towel method!
4 blueberries, 3 afghan kush, and what I believe is a headbandz!
After I have a taproot I will put seeds into solo cups in my small seedlings box under 3 or 4 23w 6500k cfls 24/0.
400w mh for vegging 20/4 or 18/6
400w hps for flower 12/12.

Thanks dude, took quite a bit of work to build. I figured it'd be cheaper to build vs. Buying a complete tent kit, but it ended up not saving me much, haha. Yeah, been saving the very few seeds I've found in my bags over the last 2 years. I've got 4 blueberries, 3 afghan kush, and what I believe is a headbandz waiting to pop! If all goes well, ill order some fem seeds, or maybe ill keep a mother if there is a particularly vigorous lady!!!

looks like you have a good start going. using a good quality soil mix like you are i wouldn't worry to much with the ph.

Thanks music and brute. Glad to have you both. The wife.and I smoke absurd amounts of green and I've only found 13 total seeds in the last 2 years. It goes without saying, they better be bitches!

I'm debating between the tap which as best I can tell shows a PH between 6.1-6.8, or using gallons of distilled. I think I could get away with that PH right?

last time i checked the ph of the tap water around here it was 7.8 and my plants were thriving with it. you just have to be careful with over watering and over feeding. since you are using ffof soil mix you'll want to give your babies straight water for the first few weeks, it has plenty of nutrients premixed for your plants to live off of.

Right on, ill give it a go with the tap and see what happens. Didn't plan on using nutrients until week 3ish or when they started to show signs of deficiencies. I've read some people having trouble with seedlings being burnt by ffof, and read lots don't have any problems. I hope I'm the latter. Any personal experience with ffof and seedlings? Appreciate you stopping by!

Thanks for the nice words dude. I always Appreciate my hard work being recognized! I have no clue who's blueberries they are. They were very fruity smelling, dense, lavender hue buds. Hopefully I get the same pheno (think that's the right word)!! Thanks for coming through bro!
