View attachment 2105902see hadda take it off the top cause it was too hot..cud just be tht 1 big CFL causeing more heat than the smaller ones IDK tho just my experience with it.
If you'll look through the posts above you'll see I have a closet waiting to move this into whenever my other plant is ready to harvest. That has a spot for 2 cfls and my lamp goes in there to help it out.
Should be okay for the time being seeing as how my plant is fully illuminated when in my box

I'm sorry it's just so hard to read your comments.. I feel better listening to gibbs and members like him. 1750 lumens in that box alone. 3k in the closet. It obviously doesn't look exactly like the picture. I have it enclosed and actual walls on there.

Not trying to be rude, but once you take more time to give advice. Then maybe I'll take the time to consider the such.

The plant is 42 inches and from what I've done to it and where it's come from, I'm not complaining. Why do you think I am making this small plant my first actual. Started by me and everything. If I had doubts about my lights I'd say something.

And please tell me you aren't insinuating I'll only get an 8th of an ounce of my tall plant.
That would just be a lack of knowledge and insight on looking at pictures of a plant.

Just my two cents. It is my thread an all.

ok ur right bro..cause i dont sit on here and leave 20,000 comments..i know nothing..anyone tht knows anything knows 5,000 lumens per sqt ft MINIMUM or 100w per plant and 50w everyone after tht..but ur right. waste 6 months growing something ull smoke on for less than 1 week

In my area I have friends that told me 2500 per sq. ft. So I am going by that. This is titled small budget and all. I'm doing what I can. But as it is I do have 200watts on 1 plant and 100 on the others, and here in a few weeks I'll have my new one in my closet and better bulbs.
It's not like I'm straight up saying this is my maximum I am having in my grow areas. Not by any means. Right now, yes. I am on a budget of little or no money. I don't think that's such a bad thing when she's looking so pretty and I've never done this before.

Thanks for the input I do appreciate it truly. But when you come at me like this is my final product and how it's going to be completely I must correct you and explain my perspective.

ya u cant really make a comment like he did on this thread becuz this is a "BUDGET" grow.. so many CFLs will only get you so far. He does have a point with bud density tho, u will have loose buds which i can tell by that "hope" update pic. The more watts the more dense the buds get becuz it matures more thoroughly with light penetration. But again you are on a budget, ive seen some nice grows with strictly CFLs and not big powerful ones at that, just alot of 26watters and it looked pretty snazzy, ive only used CFLs for veg., never flowered with them, ive only flowered with big powerful HID lights which is the way to go in my opinion, ive also tested LEDs for veg. but not flower and from my understanding with LEDs is you will get a beautiful looking plant but the weight and density wont be there like with HIDs. If you can tho dude, invest in a flower light as i said yes. And there isnt much your going to be able to do for "hope" at this point lighting wise but she has come a long way none the less as u know, and thats what matters, u saved her! lol. You wont get much off her but least you get something from nothing. As i said u can add some refined sugar or mollases to help bring out the trichomes (crystals, might have that wording wrong, trichomes could be hairs, i forget now haha). I havent ever used molasses, u can look it up on here to figure out a dosage, it can help with taste/aroma/potency as refined sugar does the same, molasses might be better tho, no idea. Hope this helps

i think u will get a quarter, ill take another look <<<<<<< ya id say between a quarter and a half ounce. But thats just from ur pic, if i was actually there id be able to guess more acurately. And again i am no expert, but i have flowered before so lol

What are u flowering "hope" with again, sorry if its in the thread already. ALSO i forgot to mention, lumens is actually only accurate to how bright a light is to OUR EYES not to a plants. I think its called PAR watts u need to pay attention to. Hopefully someone can fully elaborate on that. i know its in one of my threads but ive just created so many over the years lol.

2 23w(100w) 3500kelvin CFLs

From what I've gathered so far. I want more kelvins for vegging and less for flowering? Not sure on those stand points but I'm for sure going to be able to get better bulbs.

Might snag a job with my buddy at my local head shop. Should be killer to work there. He's decent with hydroponics.

dont mean to be a dick..but the equivilent wattage means nothing when it somes to growing. I did the same thing u need true wattage.

I was inbetween on this one which is why I put the 100 in parenthesis. One of those things I'm not too sure about but glad to know the correct way to gauge it.

My budget limits me to home depot and stores of the liking.
Any suggestions on both vegging and flowering lights?
I can definitely work it in to my budget but for now I'm seeing decent enough results whilst I get my current situation sorted out.

ya 3500 isnt bad, some ppl could actually argue on here that that is the best, but i would stick to 2700k like uve found ya. Keeps it simple, the lower the kelvins the reder the spectrum (mimicing the fall sun), the higher kelvins the bluer the spectrum (to mimic spring). The higher the watts obviously the brighter, more powerful, more canopy penetrating, more lumens if u will, the light. I think my 1000watt HPS HID bulb is around 2000-2200 kelvins and 160,000 lumens. So the more the better if u can construct something and control the heat

Noted, and I think I've repped you all I can for now lol. You've been a huge huge help and my girls have improved since starting this thread.

My goal is to have 4 bulbs in my closet once "hope" is chopped. the two on top and 1 on each side. I'll rig it with 4 42w daylight CFLs for vegging and then 4 42w soft white for flowering.
Side note I'm about to have to start or add in my pineapple express grow progress to the site. She lost her seed and the sprout is coming up nicely.

For now all I can do is let them grow and tomorrow I'll be working towards my funds for these babies.
Time to roll one up:blsmoke:

Nice dude, good idea. U are doing perfect for your first little grow. If your PE is a female you should keep it as a mother! possible idea?
