All you are going to do with those nutes is burn your plants before they even get a chance to grow... you really should let them sprout up and get a few leaves before considering nutes... but the 5-3-3 is a good mix, just not yet... Let them have a chance to live first. LOL
so what? Just get a cup of straight dirt and let them grow til they start showing deficiencies?

This is a copy and paste from another site... hope it helps a bit... Most people I have talked to either don't use nutes, or don't start until about the third week... and at 1/4 strength. Again, if the soil can feed your plants for a while, there is no need for nutes right away. Nutes are needed right away for hydro and clones, but soil can be mixed to feed your plants. 1 person I talked to does TLO (true living organics) and conditions his soil (can be found towards the end of my thread)

Below is a suggestion for developing your own soil. It offers initial nutrients and is PH balanced to provide maximum growth potential.
Custom Organic Soil Blend
Consider using this as a starting point for creating your marijuana grow medium (soil);
50% Miracle Grow or Similar Potting Soil
20% Bat Guano - High Phosphate Fertilizer
10% Organic Seafood Fertilizer
10% Perlite - added to your potting soil
05% Sand (optional)
05% Organic Mix - roots, bark, etc.
Once you have arrived at your soil choice, be sure to use the same formula for all your seeds, seedlings, and final transplanting. This provides minimum stress and shock to the plants while providing everything they need for a healthy existence.

again, I use fox farm, which has even more wonderful stuff than this mix...

When people say things like "don't add until the third week" or "don't add until it shows slows in growth", I'm confused because aren't you already planting it in nutrient rich soil? Or do people plant in non-nutrient soil and THEN add nutes through water in the third or so week?

So all soil really needs is to just surround the seed and hold water? Then if it starts slowing in growth, add some light ferts to the water? I just made some soil with the 5-3-3 I told you about. It's great and drains very well. I already have a seed that's sprouted in it so I'll try to see how that goes.
