First grow, how am I doing?

You're gonna need some more head room for flowering if you aren't going to do topping, LST, or super cropping.

Also, some will say blasphemy but with limited light source such as yours, I would read up on defoliation. It will allow the low powered light of CFL's reach to lower bud spots on your canopy.

Ive vegged with them , but the 6500k are better for veg, or both.
the higher the number the more bright WHITE for veg.where as the lower of the number give a WARM light thats ideal for flower . its best to use both so you have a full spectrum of cfls. and there is no confusion .

flew too close to the sun and burnt its wings, you don't have enough room to flower in there without knowing how to train a plant, these are the little things that only a mistake can teach us regardless of all the info and warnings we receive, in that space stick with either vegging photo plants or growing shorter auto strains in smaller containers sog style, best of luck :peace:
Yeah, still a noob :) rolling with lst next grow. I can still lower my pot cause it's stacked on a couple CD cases. I've been trying to get all my colas atleast 6inches away from the light, the 2 main ones are like 2-4 inches. I think they both hit the light as I was moving the pot.

too close to the light man
From what I read, no closer than 2 inches, and no further than 6 inches with the particular light I'm using. If I go further than 6 inches they could possibly lose 70% of growth, I'm pretty rough on them but I like a challenge.

Burning them will reduce yield far worse than the lights bein"too far" away, the 2-6" you are reading about is a guideline to use, if 2" is burning them move them farther

After all was said and done on my first grow, the thing I wish I had more of was... space. That extra space gives a lot more room for training, for lighting, for ventilation, for a bigger pot. The space you're using is so tiny. It's like you're trying to grow a beefsteak tomato in a shoebox.

Use your little box to sprout your beans and get them 2 or 3 weeks into their life. And I'd suggest finding a bigger space to transfer them to for the remainder of their vegetative cycle and flowering. I reamed out a closet and stuffed a 2x4x6ft grow tent inside. With 400w you can get reasonably get 300gm.

i appreciate the feedback from you guys, yeah im as noob as you can get, but im feeling pretty confident to be honest.
the leaves i burnt was awhile ago now, and since then nothing else has burnt. i've been spraying my leafs to keep the heat off of them abit, and i have a few fans blowing in-between the lights and the leaves.

i take everything for consideration, the only thing i cant stress enough over is how big the plant will actually reach.
my grow area is exactly 64cm in height, and the type of plant im growing has a maximum height of 50cm - 60cm.
the only thing im worried about is if the plant will grow over the 60cm mark, and its the whole reason why i've put netting mesh.

i've still got afair bit of room and i've got the netting to help balance it out.
from soil to the top of my plant measures 34cm (i just measured it than), fuck.

its a challenge, and unfortunately i've got to stick to this grow box.

is the maximum height measured from soil to the top? or the bottom of the pot to the top? P_20160505_013549.jpg
