This is me and my girl's first crop. It was long awaited and intensely studied about before we even started anything, but we have had to keep really on the down-low, so we get no feedback really. We'd love to hear what other farmers have to say. So thanks!

PS- We are about three and a half weeks into flowering in the latest picture.

EDIT: We switched from T-5 to 600 watt HPS (13 light/11 dark) about five weeks ago. Bud development began about three weeks ago.

Welcome to RIU!

Those plants are looking quite nice, is there a reason for the 13/11 cycle rather than 12/12?

I've got this subscribed, wanted to see how those smart pots works for you. I was thinking about picking some up but it's hard to justify the price. Make sure to get some good root-ball photos when you pull them. There was some headband clones at my local dispensary recently, thanks for the heads up on the strain lineage. I've never had the inclination to get any headband before, now I want to try some, impressive lineage on that plant.

Thanks man. Well a few months ago when we were planning our light cycles we were reading about 11/13 and 13/11 light/dark. Some people use 11 light/ 13 dark for faster production, and some people use 13 light/11 dark for larger yields. Here's one link. http://www.thcfarmer.com/forums/f6/what-light-cycle-do-you-prefer-flowering-12-12-13-11-a-20929/

You should see the root structure with these pots. We have roots completely embedded in even the most top layers of our coco, and portruding out of the holes on the sides, a lot like the pictures on their website (www.airpotgarden.com). We'll post some pictures for you. :]

It seems a lot of people are unsure about the exact lineage of headband. Many people say it's Master Kush x OG Kush x Master Kush, but in the most recent issue of High Times they tell us that headband is in fact Master Kush x OG Kush x Sour Diesel. Thanks for the input t0rn! Stay posted!

Well shit, I'll have to take a look at that thread with the light schedules. Only other time I've heard of going 13/11 is with long flowering timed sativas.

Ok, I see what they're getting at with the light cycle like that. They do switch it back to 12/12 at week 6 though because the plant creates resin in the dark periods.

Changing the schedule back at 6 weeks still gives you 49 more hours of light during the first 5 weeks. Pretty cool idea, but I wouldn't be able to utilize it with the perpetual system I have running.

Yeah we're probably going to switch over to 12/12 in around two weeks. We used a 24/0 cycle to veg them out.

Thanks man. It's really exciting. Here are some updated photos taken today. We're almost to our fifth week of flowering as well. We got our clones at about three weeks old, and then we vegetated them for about a month and a half under a 24 hour T-5 light cycle.

By god~ have those things grown or what?! Looking really nice, can't wait to see all those buds connect to one long swinging donkey dick.

Must be nice that your girl shares the same passion as you for growing, I'm envious.

Thanks man! That's what we're waiting for... for all those buds to come together.

Yeah haha it's great. I feel like gay couples have more similar hobbies to each other than your "stereotypical" straight couple.

That's a fact, it's hard to find female growers though, let alone two of them. You would think it would be more of a common occurrence with gardening supposed to be a female hobby.

We wonder often why we don't hear of more women growing pot. However, the American pot culture is really male-dominated. Even when you log onto rollitup, there's a huge ad with a half-naked chick for seeds, and in the most recent issue of High Times I don't think we could find a single fully-clothed woman throughout the whole magazine. And you never see some badass girls cruisin down the block with a blunt in the movies.

Looking like it's coming along quite nicely, how many weeks is that strain supposed to take?
