Gonna be ordering a jeweler's loupe of Amazon today as we're halfway there to the finish line. Changed the rez out this morning and bumped up the nutrients to Peak Flowering stage(1200ppm). Measurements came out right on the money!

I've learned a lot from this grow thus far. Next time I will definitely be implementing something similar to TillthedayiDIE420's LST technique next go around:

Bought some 8'' heavy duty net pots which will be perfect for this. Not quite sure if the 5'' heavy duty will be better as they have holes on the lip too... will have to wait until harvest to see how big the root mass has gotten. I'm thinking the 5'' with the above LST technique would create a great SOG/LST hybrid grow? I could cram twice as many plants in the air table that way.

Update: Took some more clones tonight and ended up ditching the old ones. All in all they got put through the ringer during my first attempt trying to clone, and boy did I learn a lot! First off with an aerocloner I've found there is no need for any of the fancy scraping the stems or making a cut in the middle... just a 45 degree cut and that's it. Forget the extra chemicals - just Clonex gel or whatever and straight tap water. My last attempt was cut at 45*, mutilate the shit out of an already fragile stem, and then into water with 10ml/liter Clonex solution and about 3ml of pH down. Well the next morning the pH was at an alarming 2.8 and the ppm's were somewhere over 800. Then during the following day in my attempts to dial in the recycling timer the temps had managed to shoot up to a lethal 90 degrees F!! Another problem was the light I was using. I've definitely found out the hard way that a 125 watt CFL is waaaayyyy too much light for clones(I'll still be using the Sun System Garden Bright reflector and big ass bulb for the eventual moms though). So this time I bought a Sun Blaze T5-22 with 2 2' bulbs this time around. Coupled with a new light schedule: 5-10am on, 10-3pm off(daylight coming in through two windows), 3-11pm off... though until roots start to appear the lights will remain on 18/6.

Checked on the clones this morning. Looking good so far but the pH shot up overnight to 7.5. Last time the pH went down to 3 last time around. Bottom line is that pH needs to be checked often in the beginning. I was reading last light that micro nutes are ok and recommended by some in the beginning(this is where cloning becomes more of an art with a million varying opinions). And last time at 400ppm's of Clonex solution they were doing fine up until I started using low strength nutes once roots had appeared and the snot followed. So here's the new mix I'll be running with for at least the time being:

1.) clones are cut at 45 degrees and placed in a glass of water until I'm finished taking all the cuttings
2.) clones are dipped in Clonex gel, fan leaves trimmed, and put into their neoprene collars
3.) 1.5 gallons of tap water mixed with 20ml* of Clonex solution netting me 380 ppm
4.) 2ml of pH down added on top of the mix which brings the level down to 6.0(YMMV)
5.) collars placed into the TurboKlone 24 under lights on 18/6.
6.) recycle timer set at 45 seconds on/2 minutes off keeping temps stable at around 75 degrees

*
Once roots begin to appear I will empty out the reservoir and replace with a fresh mix of solution, with everything remaining the same except for an increase to 40ml of Clonex solution.

Couple pics of the revised clone setup...

With the much less powerful lighting the temp holds rock steady a whole two degrees lower now than before. A stable 73 degrees F... shit, I'll take that!

Had to top one of my plants yesterday. The stem accidentally snapped during my first attempt at tying the plants down. It had been nearly a week and the top part of the plant still hadn't recovered. Just two days ago the leaves from that section on up began to wilt badly. So when taking my next batch of clones and trimming some fan leaves, I'd decided to top her to avoid any further issues or possible bacteria/viruses forming out of that. A section of the plant ain't worth the whole thing! Instead of just chucking that part into the trash, I trimmed it and put the flowers into the microwave on its lowest setting and gave it 10 seconds bursts of power while stirring the buds until it was reasonably dry enough to combust. Loaded up a fat bowl into a micro Toro single circ and fired away with the herb iron on it. Buds were still way too wet, buy hey they gonna go into the trash anyways. Well to my surprise potency was definitely there. Shit, just as the smoke reports I've read stated the onset was pretty much immediate and full all around. No creeper bud here! Eyelids were heavy after a few tokes. The buzz lasted for quite a long while too. A very good nearly 50/50 balance of Indica/Sativa leaning more to the Indica side, although I chose not to take any clones from this particular plant. Will definitely be waiting until peak harvest to chop these babies down for the strongest possible stone.

Important update/huge embarrassment to report: the last two rounds of clones I took were, (gasp), fan leaves! Fuck was that stupid!! Why?! don't ask, but I'm sure I'll never live this n00bie mistake down lol. So where might the silver lining be in all of this you may ask? Well I had managed to get roots out of the fan leaves during my first attempt and learned all of the do's and dont's through trial an error. Came up with my cloning recipe during that, dialed in the recycling timer to reflect a constant 73-75 degrees in the rez, learned that too much CFL can easily scorch a clone which led me to purchase a far more suitable 50w Sun Blaze, got the feel down for the Xacto blade against the plant, and in general the whole process of taking clones down much more quickly and efficiently, so all was not lost. Now onto some pics:

Miniature rainforest going on in the TurboKlone(lights are on 24/7 for the re-veg):

Aftermath of cloning and trimming:

The three AK's from which I took my clones from. The first one pictured below is my #2 favorite and got seven off her. Has an almost neon like brightness to its flowers:

This one's been supercropped and my #3 fave. Took three from her:

Ended up taking twelve clones from this beauty. Definitely the one I'd love to end up SOGing to the max in these air tables!

Was browsing Attitude today and noticed that Rare Dankness from CO was up on there. Looking at the Doc OG and reading about it on a RD's website for a minute, just a damn minute, and then when I went back it's already out of stock! FUCK!!!! Oh well, all is not lost because I just grabbed a pack of Rare Dankness Venom OG(Poison OG). Figured I'd grad one of RD's OG versions before they're all gone and only the Haze's are left. Not interested in long flowering times at all. Grabbed some Cali Connection Tahoe OG from the 'Tude as well the other day. These two will be my next grow along with the AK's I'm cloning right now.

Still wish I could've nabbed that Face Off OG though. Heard it's the shiz amongst Shizzzz!

It was one pollen sack, which was OPEN by the way. Don't know how in the hell I could've missed it! I'm like thirty something days into flower too!! It was just one sac and I scoured the plant along with all of the others for any signs or more but nothing... yet. Just cannot say enough bad things at this point regarding Sensi. They may have been gods some at some point in time but are a third rate hack job ripoff these days. Sprayed the area of that plant down with water to minimize but since the sac was already opened I'm sure that it's too late. Funny thing is the AK's have gone through about as much stress a plant can go through - fourteen clones off just one in flower is a great example and so far it's still doing great(knock on wood).

So what are the chances of this one open pollen sac contaminating the rest? I already got my clones and they've been in the aero cloner w/ lid on for five days now in another room. Thoughts on this??

Great grow man, I really like how your going all out for your first grow, must have had some cash to toss around cause you got yourself a nice setup there. Yea I was expecting that light to cook them, lol, did the same thing with my first batch of clones, had a thermometer inside the dome though so I managed to save them. Thats so fucking funny that you tried to clone fan leaves lol I would have loved to see pictures of that. I managed to get success for my first round of clones but I forgot to label which ones were which so gotta start over again, my second batch was an utter failure, now I'm waiting for more branches to grow so I can take a third stab at it. I wish I could afford one of those hydro cloners, all I got is jiffy pellets and a water sprayer lol. That one AK looks damn perfect for your setup, you could stick quite a few of them in there, maybe look for a square pot so that you can get the max volume of roots with the greatest number of plants. Your clones will be all screwy btw now that your into flower, They wont grow right for SOG unfortunately.
Anyways great grow, very impressive

Thanks dillestpickle! Yes the aero cloners are bomb and make cloning super easy. Once you get the water in there pH stabilized it's basically set it and forget it, especially with the TurboKlone. Because that one has got a fan it can circulate the air inside of it pretty well... couple that with a disc fogger & recycling timer and you got yourself a high performance fool proof system. The fog leeches out of the back of the unit towards the top where the indents for the ac cord are and get pulled back into the unit along with fresh air. The abs plastic is thick and all of the components line up perfectly. I'd recommend the TK-24 for sure, plus it's a lot cheaper than the EZ-Clone and Power Cloner.
Serious' AK is so stable. I'd highly recommend it for anyone's first grow. Problems will arise and that strain is very forgiving when they do. It's a little sensitive on nudes during the veg stage but once you're a couple of weeks into flower they seem to respond to gradual increases a whole lot better.
As far as smaller pots go I have bought around thirty of the 5'' heavy duty net pots for my next grow. The have three holes on the lip but because they are a lot stronger than the standard ones I'm sure I can tie the plant down into the net around the pot, that or just drill some more hole around the lip if need be.
Yeah it all cost a little more than chump change, but since I'd managed to find both my cabs for dirt cheap on CL it has really kept it down. The T8 cab is a rarity and so are those kind of grows. When I search for "T8 grow" I come up with nothing. Everything CFL-wise on here is pigtail bulb grows that overwhelmingly never seem to get finished. T8's are pretty sweet though. Plants can rest on the bulbs with no effect(surface temp is 78 on them) and the cab with all lights and fans running comes out to 480 watts I believe. So the the extra power savings is nice. But to make up for the inevitably smaller yields a SOG or some variation thereof will no doubt have to be used. Still if yields are lacking then there's always the BCNL producer which I'll have up and running this summer as well regardless.

Dude what the hell happened to post #42 That shit is freaking me out! could it have something to do with the wikipedia blackout today? (checkout wikipedia, they arent running the site for January 18th in protest or something)

Yea good to hear the AK's are so good, I have heard nothing but good things about Serious Seeds, right now I'm running 10 Kali Mist, I lost 1 seed from the 11 pack(dropped it somewhere), but 7 out of the 10 remaining plants are turning out to be female. They germinated in under 24 hours I was pretty happy, and sprouted up within 48 hours of initial soak. All plants have grown very similar to each other, a very even canopy so far. Only difference has been that I have one plant that early on had a very nice smell it it. I couldnt smell the others though, now they all dont smell but I'm going to keep an eye on that plant during flower, maybe a sign of good things to come. Trying to pick out a super pheno from the 7 females

seriously whats with post #42! lol

It was a pic linked off a thread over on the Growery. Yeah it looks like it's apart of the blackout and indeed looks scary. I went back to it and immediately saw that government seal and my heart did skip a few beats there for a second!
