Lol so I have changed my mind again... And I have decided to purchase a cabinet of some sort from lowes... I found a 4' wide 74 inch tall and 20 inch deep two door cabinet for 100 bucks at lowes... Im gona build a dyro setup in it and have three chanbers going... one for the mother/clones one for veg and another for flowering...

I have a few questions for everyone out there...

with the last link (the 3 gallon dwc setup) I plan on using a different size container to fit my space better but how deep does the container need to be? how much room will the roots need to grow a plant about 3 feet tall?

And how exactly does this system work? I get the basic idea but I am confused on a few things... Do the roots sit in water constantly? with the nutes in it too? and how often does the bump turn on for each of these setups?

i say cut the cab in half if it already isn't seperated at 2 foot 1 side have the 3 gallon or 5 up to 10 will work your 2ft long 20 inch wide im sure...for your flowering chamber i still suggest getting a 150whps from sun systems they also have mini ones!!... and on the other side cut it at 37 inches half top for your clone humidity tray the other half gor a tray with 16oz cups to start your seeds in and veg ( 16ox cups filled with all perlite and vermiculate and sphagmus moss then transfer to dwc after your height is at what you want 2 foot tall max i think i sggest a 18inh tube for the clones 42 and 68 watt cfls for the veg chamber and the 150w hps or a 250whps for the flowering i think if you take my ideas it will become a very nice cabinet!!!!!!!!

i think you want about 2 gallons per plant for root but long as the roots are 80% in water your good


this hydro system comes with a dripper great for the plnats to start in feed from top most hydro systems have air stone which are use in fish tanks that circulate the water so it doesnt stand to long an get scummy and will run 24/0 its just what light ched u want to run!!!

I have a few questions for ya...

1) Wich of the systems I linked do you think would fit best in this closet? I was kinda leaning towards the one with just one container/air stone were the roots sit in water all the time? does one grow faster you think?

2) I was kinda thinking about spliting it in have the tall way... as in like 4ft top and 3ft bottom and having the top be the flowering as I have found a rubber maid container that is 43x18x18 inches... then I would have the bottom left be for clones/mother and left be for veg... But there are yet even more options for me... I could use a 3 ft mini fridge I have for keeping the mother in and that would let me have the whole bottom for clones/veg/res. But is it possible to keep a mother plant under 3 foot for a long time? and how close can a plant get to a 150w or 250w hps?

3) how deep does my container need to be for plants that are about 3ft tall? and how do you keep the plants standing uprite?

like i said before depth is not really an issue roots dont get as crazy as you tink eseides the bottom of the container and as long as 50% of your roots are free and untangled and are from female plants in shouldn be an issue the light will have them grow 3 feet in a space like that but have say 2 foot plant roots get what im saying i

i think cutting your box height wise would be an issue for the hps heat wise to your plants theats why i say

right side flowering left side clone on top veg on bottom

12 inch tubes for clones
daylight high watt cfls for veg and a 250w hps for flowering


the one that has the drip and the air stone with bubbler is best becuase it stimulates the plants up to and gives a circle of water flow in stead just in the tub but can be expensive

very cheap on this site with add on like a 65watt light and reflecter for cheap if you buy the tub*****!!!

if a premade dwc is set up with 4 pots its sutable to grow 4 MAATURE plants get what im sayings its only 35 DOLLARS!! but doesn't have drip sytem but who cares i suggest you get the and cut the cab with wise

Im most likely gona build whatever setup I decide on... What are the tubes going in to net pots in the pics of the setup you showed me? is that pumping air into the roots or water? I was also praying to fit atleast 6 plants in the flower side... think that is possible?

I saw your post on a thread were some guy is making a fridge into his grow closet... Got me thinking and I remembered I have a fridge sitting at my rents house I could do the same thing with...

Also if I made a cool tube or purchased a light with a air cooled hood I was told I could have plants almost 6 inches away from the lights?

So your saying I should take clones from the ones that are veging every time?

I thought that wasw a bad idea as the clones would slowly get less and less potent in terms of THC?

And another question I have for everyone out there... I need a way to keep my plants away from my cfls... as in I was planing on having a few for the sides of my plants but space is tight and they will be pretty close to them???

And yet another question for all of you lol... If you look back at the first page you will see I found some wrapping paper at a dollar store and taped it to the walls... The stuff is slightly see through but pretty much reflect almost as good as a mirror... well this weekend I am turning an old fridge into a grow box and I need soemthing to line the walls with... do you think I should use that wrapping paper with some spray adhesive for the walls or can I use tinfoil with the adhesive as it gets almost all the bumps out...
