If the leaves have more then 5 fingers it's female, that's what everyone around where I live keeps telling me.

That's not true is it?

way to take it easy on him...........

and yeah, not true at all.....
i phrased it that way so he could repeat it to the dochebags telling him that nonsense ;)

no reflection on the person asking the question at all.

Yep, look for pistels or pollen sacks. Fan leaves increase when the number of nodes increase. It should start out with 3, then 5, 7, all the way up to 9. Also there's the occasional mutant gene that fucks up all this order. No matter, still produces bud! Hope that helps!:blsmoke:

here's a drawing i found on this site - the little hairs you see are probably stipule and/or new nodes... you can see from the drawing where you should be taking a close-up picture...

All I have is a cell phone camera, when I get a digital camera I will take great pics of it up close, that was from yesterday.

But it's not ready to flower, it won't flower until like September or October.

So I won't be able to tell until then right??...

it will probably pre-flower before then and she should lift her skirts.

but yes - patience is key.

Pre flower? Does that mean it will bud before those months? It's been growing since march.
The marijuana plants growth stages are:
seed, seedling, vegetative, pre-flower, flower, seed set, death.

at the end of vegetative growth the plant will pre-flower at which point it shows sex - but it still has not entered the flowering stage yet. But it is showing you it is ready.

It will start flowering when the correct dark period is reached. This differs from strain to strain but 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness will trigger flowering in most all marijuana plants (other than auto-flowering strains).

So when the day light savings changes and such it will begin to flower and stuff right?

I'm in N.C. and I hope nature makes it flower on it's own.

Thanks for the help and advice =)!

if you do not want to induce flowering - nature will take care of it. it will start flowering as soon as the length of dark reaches a trigger point. nothing to do with daylight savings time though.
