I am mad MAD!! One minute I think I got everything dialled in and the next I want to kill everything... ok I am not this mad this morning, but FUKING MAD! MY digital timer has given up I guess and I dont know how long it has been (I hope it happened only a few hours before lights on, but it could have been days...) And so one of my AF600 had 4 clusters giving off lights when they were sleeping.

That is only timer related right? Anyway, things like that almost makes me want to pewk, man there is a lot of buds in this room and also a lot of time and effort, if my grinspoons were to hermi on me at this point I would be MAD more.

A few pics of Violator Kush when I harvested ... I ll get closeup of the dried nugs... along with a smoke report. I think it's going to be better than it looks, there is a higher density of trichs inside the buds and it smells wonderful.

I dont know if any of you remember but about 2-3 weeks ago I ordered a 200micron diesel filter bag, I got it yesterday and I had enough trim to do my first try with it. This is one of the cheapest way to make hash, I paid less than 10$ including shipping on the bag, I should have bought the 75 micron as well I might do that soon. But just with the 200microns, it's enough to get most of the green matter out and the end results is looking pretty good!! I made it last night, the piece of leather dried within 8 hours but the ball is going to take another 16hours I am thinking.

The new look (argh so pissed at the bloody timer right now!!!)

sup bro. Ditch the cheap ass chinese timers and buy an Intermatic mechanical timer. I haven't looked back since.

YES I know, I didnt realised the digital timer were so bad ... I liked that they had memory and when I get power outage I wouldnt have to reset the timers. Now I bought 1800W mechanical timers. They will sleep well tonight. Good thing I opened the door before lights on this morning...good remainder for everyone to check once a week to make sure everything is running smoothly.

yes thats strange that four of the strips were left on I found that when I had the switches set to off on the adjustables a very faint glow just a tiny amount of power going through
can you get a battery back up mechanical timer fucking so frustrating when shit happens like this especially when things are going well

have you ever tried making RSO/oil out of the trim bit of a palava but worth the effort

I made up some for someone with cancer for this years outdoor crop we converted two pounds of seeded bud so that was enough for some of the treatment
the lady in question has lung cancer and her tumor had been growing with aggression
after 3 weeks into taking the oil the cat scan had shown no growth in the tumor her next one is on the 16th of this month results on the 20th so were all praying there is going to be a reduction this time
The treatment has been tough for her and has knocked her on her ass I hope it will be worth the brave effort
shes had to change her whole mentality toward the drug thing she had never smoked before
she is currently taking a gram a day orally

I will update my journal tonight or tomorrow with pics, I started using cal-mag (finally) and I think that's what was missing ...

I must say, now that I started using cal-mag, I have no doubts that the AF600 absolutely ROCK!!!

I think I would get the cal-mag def quite easily with them and at first I thought the AF600 were burning my leaves or something ... I have got some NICE plants that were grown strictly under the AF600 and I am blown away.

Also, Grinspoon are starting to put on quite a bit of weight. :weed:

epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) does the same job, as its the mg thats missing...... 1 teaspoon a gal every other water forget the cal your tap water probably has enough....

Hey Endur0xX, can't wait to see the new photos, especially the Grin. Yup epsom salt is a big winner. I add food grade bone meal along with it which adds Cal (duh), P and a bit of Mag. Good combo

Anyway I noticed you were having some trouble with your panel's lights and digital timers and I was gonna PM you this link but I figured if any of your "fans" were having this problem they might want to read this too. This is a link to a conversation I had at the "Ask An Electrician" thread.

And here's the meat of the conversation:

What you are experiencing is called " floating ground/neutral". This occurs when the potential between the "hot" and the "neutral/ground" is not large enough to isolate the power during "off" conditions. This is a potentially hazardous situation and will cause numerous issues with any device that uses this power. You need to verify your grounding from your incoming power and make sure it is sound at all points( even the power company's service to the home). You can add another ground rod and tie it to the ground bar in the panel. Make sure that your neutral/ground bar is bonded securely to the incoming ground and all meter connections are secure as well.

Certain foriegn electrical equipment is manufactured to be able to run on "dirty" 50hz power and that causes all kinds of harmonic imbalances on older 60hz american equipment such as your panel. If you have an old analog mutimeter, such as a Simpson 260, you can see the issues that this causes, a regular digital multimeter ( fluke) is incapable of reading this.

If a device does not turn all the way off when the power is turned off, that is an avenue for a severe electrical mishap, either to the equipment, you, or both.

What happens is the power from other devices in your home are utilizing the neutral in the "off" equipment as a return path to the panel. Remember, electricity is as lazy as things get, it will always choose the path of least resistance. That is why the bulbs in that fixture seem to glow even tho the power is off. Make no mistake, if you get between the two, you will get the full load of what is trying to utilize that path.

I've always had the digital timer issue with my diodes, but stopped believing digital timers were the problem after I started having problems with analog timers after a while as well. Then I thought it was a grounding problem on the panels and I figured it out by changing the grounding in the panels, but it didn't really fix the problem though it did get the diodes to not glow at lights out. Looks like my old wiring is the issue and I got some decisions to make.

FANS! haha Thank you! I have no secret btw everything I know is in this journal!! I have said it many times before, organic supersoil + LEDs + the odd compost teas and you are in business!!

Thanks for the link, I always like when people are contributing to my thread, we are all trying to grow the best weed and the only way is to share the knowledge. Everything is running fine now that I have mechanical timers. I hope there is nothing wrong with the wiring in my house ... the electrician said everything looks clean so I ll go with that!!

Chemo that I chopped a couple days ago, on the early side but I was scared of mold. You can see on picture #2 how I hooked mini bungee cords on the lowerbuds to keep them away from the main bud and I would tie them to another container near by and it helped quite a bit. No more pure indicas 12/12 fs because I just dont like to grow one big bud... not efficient at all.

The yield would have been great, but I chopped the main colas early because the plant was really unhealthy. She bounced back!

WW (almost ready, I got to get in there with the microscope but she is hard to reach!!)

Deep Purple, I almost scratched this plant, she was such a slow grower, and she has shown sex a LONG time ago, and she is finally starting to bud and she looks fantastic, amazing 12/12 fs.

Afghani, you can see at the top of the picture one of them (2) was showing cal-mag def and it has completely stopped and the main one is still looking super healthy and VERY frosty, hard to see on the pic.

Medicine, almost ready, wonderful plant, superb smell!!

WW x Nuken Vigorous growth in flowering, very strong plant.

Dr. Grinspoon (all the big buds under the blue light in the first picture are Grinspoons as well)

My lame ass party cups!!

mini update, I have been busy and the good camera is still broken, hopefully I ll have time to bring it over to this guy tomorrow.

So it's hard to really show what's going on, not much since last update I mostly want to show 2 plants. I am so stoked to be growing my own genetic!! The best is yet to come!!

Agent Chemo, sprouted Nov. 15th, she is Chemo dominant (indica) but kept some of that orange smell, the smell is wonderfull and she is starting to frost quite well. She is truly my first creation, and I am very proud!!

The other one that I am SO looking forward to smoke is Smiler (originally I had written Smile2 on the container but the 2 looked like an R and I started to call her Smiler) This one comes from an amazing strain, Smile, I had one going outside and the older guy I was helping missed a male (at the early stage) and I found 5 seeds in the whole plant so I felt like they were very precious. I think I still have a few but anyway, that's that story. I dont consider it to be my first creation because pollination was accidental.

I was trying to take a good picture to see if WW was ready, and the camera started working normally... somewhat.

Anyway I snapped a few more, it's hard to tell on the pics, it looks like I should let her go another week but I dont really feel like it. She has lots of cat hairs and or spider mites web on her, like I see a little something on each bud and it's bugging me!! It will take hours to trim her as I will be inspecting each buds very closely. I started rolling my clothes with a sticky roller before entering the grow room at all time now so it won't get as bad as it was on a few plants this current grow.

I think we can all agree that she is an amazing 12/12 from seed!!

The other plant I was hoping to harvest tonight also needs more days ... Medicine!!
