Female Corpses after Harvest

so strange question here, a buddy just brought this huge bag of dead plants over. all females, every piece of trim taken, only stalk and branches now (all stem that is).

when he told me he tried to boil some to make tea, i laughed out loud and told him that if all he did was boil it, it wouldn't work because THC needs a fatty molecule to bond to (as far as i understand). it was when he asked what he should do instead that i drew a blank. ARE there any uses at this point? i took out my mag and there is definitely still some resins on the branches, if it was rubbed down it wasn't done to its fullest i don't think.

any thoughts?

Warm Whole milk over a low flame (must be whole milk). wait until it is just under boiling, and add marijuana in the desired quantity. simmer for 10-15 minutes. strain through cheese cloth or coffee strainers or whatever you want to use. Serve warm and sweeten with honey, or serve cold.

dude., you can still make sum hash oil with them...what you doo is you put all the shakes n branches in a glass jar n add js enough alcohol to have them all emerged. shake tha shit out of it for a good 20 minutes, n strain the plant matter out of the liquid n throw it away..then you simply pour the rest of the liquid in liek a plate or something in the open until all the alcohol evaporates..then scrape it into a ball n enjoy over a bowl..haha, btw, this is js a cheap n easy way to make it. theyre are other methods of which to get this done...go to youtube bro !, theyres multiple videos explaining such..

If you'd like to make tea, you can you just have to add a fatty substance as you mentioned.
I've made tea with stems/shake. Here's how I would do it"
-Chop/ grind the stalks/branches with a blender, coffee grinder, etc.
-boil your water and add teabags of choice. (Chai tea is made w/ milk, that's one possible source of fat)
-Personally I make small batches, 2-4 cups, depending on size, and add about a tbs of butter as my fat source.
-Reduce heat and add ground stems. Let steep on low heat for about 30 mins.
-strain and you should be good to go.

on a side note, the high from tea is more subtle relaxed feeling high as opposed to being intense.

another great option is to just make cannabutter with them.

Not that I haven't done it before, but something about using Isopropyl alcohol to extract something I'm going to consume, makes me a bit leery.

CAREFUL WITH THE TEMPERATURE! Its really easy to kill the THC if you just add "a little lower than boiling".

Huge fan of alcohol hash due to ease and speed. Few things from my multiple batches over a couple years. The least amount of time possible. The longer you leave it in the alcohol the more plant material gets broken down. Use 99% Isopropyl the 70% will work, but then you gotta wait for the water to evaporate as well. I personally put it on a PYREX glass dinner plate and turn my stove top onto the lowest setting and let it go. HUGE FIRE DANGER!!!!! DO NOT INHALE THE FUMES!!!! TURN YOUR OVER HEAD FAN ON YOUR STOVE ON IF YOU DO THIS!!! I grind up what I got in a coffee grinder, put this into appropriate size glass jar depending on quantity (ie baby food or bigger if needed) pour alcohol a little over the top, give it a shake, take the lid off and use a coffee filter and a rubber band to strain on plate, I USE a stove next it takes about 20 min to evap on stove I leave it on there untill its light green powder and no longer green/black goo, COOL THE PLATE OFF! If its pyrex and you used the lowest stove setting I just run it FIRST under warm tap water and then cold.

Few risks if not done right ALCOHOL FUMES, FIRE, FIRE, FIRE, Too hot can kill THC, too long in jar will taste like shit, not disapating ALL the alcohol (youll know by the assss taste).

Great point! If you make tea, be sure to let the boiling subside and the the cool a bit prior to adding the plant material.
However, some heat is necessary to extract the THC, this is where the 30 ins or so of steeping comes in.

Instead of doing all that shit, why not just cut it all into 1/2-1" peices and make some Blender Hash.

Im sure if your friend had a ton of plants, theres trichs all over the branches......you just gotta get em off. Im sure youd yeild a gram or 2 of some killer hash off of a few ozs' of large stems.

Daaam! I wish that I would have read this yesterday! I just burned the last of the harvests stems, they were sticky with resin too...damn. What is Blender hash marcoze, and how do you make it? Damn, all these years I just burned all of my stems, I always wondered if there was some way to get that shit off... What other methods are out there to extract thc from the trim and stems?

woot thanks all for the responses. since there is no trim, and this is a budget project for him, iam thinking the blender hash may be the way to go. not sure how many plants he said, but he described it as garbage bag or two of stem and branch, ill let you guys know how it turns out!

noo, noo, dude..my bad, when i sed over a bowl, i meant a pipe bowl, or bong, etc... n js put a lil nug on the bottom to hold it all in longer.. n anyways., you boil the isopropyl
out over a stove on low heat n it all evaporates...or you can pour the substance over a flat baking pan and let all tha vapors evaporate, then scrape together n you spread it out again untill it gets more dark yellow than clear...it should have the consistency of resin.
