man the guy who delivered that shit took it out, who else would have something to cut with like that. He cut that bitch open and delivered the box like he was suppose to. I bet he knew bud had been coming there and was waiting for the chance

If the driver simply marked it as delivered but didn't deliver it, couldn't you just call up fed ex and ask who signed for the package? and when they don't have your signature on record couldn't you argue that it wasn't delivered? Isn't that the entire purpose of delivery confirmation?

Also who ships 9 lbs? Are you mental? I'm calling bullshit.
people ship a lot more than that in one at a time and its not the quantity its how its done and the employees that gets it lost, doesn't mean its a good idea

Did you send it or receive it OP?

If you received it, it was probably the sender who fucked you, not Fed Ex.

A Fed Ex employee may jack packages, but they go lost, not opened and resealed and delivered. Doesn't make any sense to me.

I work for a print shop that offers UPS shipping, and we've had a cute girl come in once a month for about a year shipping 30lbs plus from Cali to New Jersey. UPS finally caught on one day, told us to no longer accept the shipment, and we've never seen them again anyway. Needless to say, everyone in our shop knew what was being shipped, but didn't care because of the commission.

I can say that it probably wasn't FedEx who stole your package, but someone working in a shop like mine, or a Postal Annex.

I had a bunch of friends that worked nightshift offloading freight at FedEx. and they would tell me many times about them finding packages of weed and ripping it off. there's not much that the sender and receiver of the package can do. thay can't report that a bunch of weed got stolen from them.

it is a brutal risk for everyone involved to take; i'm surprised at how many people try it.

I think you pinned it! The sender (your supplier) has already been paid right? So he makes up the shipment and then cut's open the bottom of the box and seals it all up again. He post's it through fedex as though it's all good. You accept the empty package and contact him... freaking out. Your seller commiserates with you... joins you in cursing "those damned thieving fedex guys... they should all be shot!". Your seller hangs up the phone grinning like a monkey... knowing he just made 25K of nontaxable money... YOUR money! Your seller buys himself a nice new car/truck... takes an expensive vacation... puts down money on a new house... you name it...

Investigate your supplier dude... he's your thief! Challenge him! Tell him fedex sent a note (LIE your ass off and be convincing!) along telling you the package was NOT 9 pounds when it was dropped with them and they think you should know because they think you are being played.

This guy had a package delivered to his house, when it got there he discovered the bottom was slightly cut open and taped back.

Looked inside to find nothing.

It was supposed to be 9 lbs of prime stuff

Think the fedex guy stole it?

And from where? the destination state or the sent from?
did this guy send the package to himself? did someone send the package to him? if it was sent from someone else, was the goods already payed for or was it a front? if it was sent from someone else, was the sender a friend, relative, some joe blow off the street?

Definitely had to be someone in the sorting center, the driver would have definitely delivered to the wrong house or not at all. I knew of a guy who used to work for FedEx in the sorting center a long time ago and he used to rip packages all the time. In fact it was as simple as you say, he would just follow the package to the loading area. Then sneak it off to be opened and emptied, I remember him saying that he had ripped at least 10 kilos in his time there not including the smoke he pulled. And the guy was serious, he had the money to back it up, he told me he would make an average of 25k extra a year going through stuff. The guy was a real prick though and I always thought of him as a thief, I have no idea where he is now, probably in prison.

Why would he do that? So his supervisor can bring up the records after a complaint and say "hey, how come package YYZ was scanned going onto your truck, then never scanned again?" or "hey, how come this package was delivered to the wrong address and the wrong person signed for it?"?

Who does? How could it possibly be worth the risk? There is no insurance collecting. There is no complaining to the police. It is a huge risk. Would be safer to simply courier the product yourself.

Then obey the traffic laws and don't get caught. If you are moving that much product you can invest a little cash into a hidden storage compartment. I can think of a hundred ways to hide it that would never be discovered. I have logged over 100,000 miles driving and only been pulled over a few times, and all of those times was because I was not complying with traffic laws.

Obviously that would be what you'd go for, but shit doesn't always work out. I've always gotten lucky moving weight across country, but now that I've grown up a little I wouldn't take the risk.

Having someone else do the leg work is the only way to go. People don't get caught cause they don't do the dirty work themselves.

I've been pulled over just for having out of state plates (or being white, I'm thinking it was the plates), they said I went left of center, but I saw them behind me and was going straight as an arrow. Cops don't always play by the rules, and you don't want to get caught with that much weight, that's all. One stupid mistake and you're looking at, fuck, a nice little vacation that's for sure. The only way to eliminate that risk is not doing it yourself. It's pretty simple actually.

A lot of people do this all day every day dude.......shit you must be an idiot if you rather drive work yourself and have the chances of getting caught with it than mail it......you don't do anything but package it, have someone else drop off then it arrives to it's destination.......most packages make it so it is worth the risk of loosing a package if 1 out of 100 get caught......get it? Not trying to talk shit but this is the reality.......lots of people do this....this shit's old news......
