I don't understand Scotch. Why is it insulting to you that I say CLW is better than A51? It's true that CLW operates on a different league. They have employees, toll free phone numbers, retail packaging, representatives, etc. It's a real and true company in every sense.

No insults should be taken from that. A51 lights are good bangs for the buck, but SS panels are built better and the overall customer service is night and day. Which is why they're quite a bit more expensive. (1200$ for a 400W panel).

Jeff doesn't have more experience running a business than I do. Not even by far. I can recognize a great company when I see it. CLW's execution so far is flawless. We'll see about the results later :)

As for the lights they're definitely good bang for the buck!

If that's what makes your mind up about a light... so be it.

I have put the numbers side by side, and I am going with A51 for a reason.

What you will be pulling at 18" with 345w... I will be pulling at 12" with 145w.

The wording was just wrong in your statement, just not working in your favor. Even a nonchalant viewer will have a certain feeling of unease when they visit this thread because of these kind of things.

Both are great companies, and A51 makes lights that could compete. Just don't think what you are saying and how you are saying it is morally right.

Will be interested to see what your light does, pressure is on.

My sincerest apologies if you took offense I did not mean to insult anyone. I assumed everyone agreed already CLW and A51 operated on two different levels. Since I'm one of the few people around here who has purchased lights from both places and experienced the customer service experience from A to Y, I'm in a good position to compare the experience and then tell you about it. In the end, you can make your own decision based on the information you have. I personally avoided buying a 800$ vape that is horribly designed after a user made a huge fuss about it on a vaping forum. If it weren't for his actions, nobody would know how poorly the device was designed. When he explained all the shit he had endured, I decided I would't spend 800$ on a vape from a company who treats customers like that. The standards for acceptable business practices seem to be extremely low in the cannabis business world compared to any other mail order business categories. For instance, if you sell on Amazon, they close your account if you order defect rate is higher than 1.03%. 1.03%!!! Do you know how small that is?

That is why I have no trouble giving thousands of dollars worth of business to companies like CWL and Grower's House. Awesome employees, awesome service, from A to Z. If they fuck up, they apologize, make it up to you, thank you for your patronage and you keep coming back because you feel taken care of.

I wish you nothing but the best for you and the baby that is soon to arrive, hopefully in good health! :)

Pressure on the lights for sure!

whether you received it or not doesnt matter if he refunded I dont understand how you can be so mad at him?

And you go around saying A51 are christmas lights because you can't fkin keep the lights at the right distance from your seedlings most likely due to a lack of experience.... I don't mean to be rude but I can't see why you are so hard with A51 when they refunded you ... also to say their lights are Christmas lights when you have never grown a single flower with ANY light is non-sense.

The Christmas light argument was corrected to be more precise in the actual meaning intended a few posts later (was a comparative of size to illustrate the stupidity of suggesting I could ever need to steal such a small light, not an insult on the light itself)

If you ever give 600$ worth of business to someone and they fuck up the order then accuse you of being dumb or a thief, maybe you'd be angry too.

That, and the fucking prednisone. I hate those pills.

Ok I understand your perspective. I am very satisfied with my AF-600s and I had great customer services from A51 and FERO.

I've read many grow journals using them and I agree: they are 100% worth the bang for the bucks.

Up to you to factor whether the customer service experience is worth the extra money. Because this is a big part of the premium you're paying if you buy from CLW.

It's a little like Apple an PCs. And we all know how hefty the debate can get :)

Tbh I really think induction has promise as well, but I could NEVER justify paying 745$ for red LED supplementation.

Frank, for the last time, YOU are the only one with a problem with our customer service.

I may be a busy person, and I may be short spoken with none of the pleasantries, but I respond in a timely manner and answer all questions, in detail, and you were the only customer that bothered me enough to refuse you sales.

Maybe if you called, my number is free to call if you're in Canada or the USA, you could have gotten to talk to the real person, either myself or Eric, my partner, and you would probably feel different.

I don't know how many times I sat on the phone throughout the night talking to a customer just because they had more questions. Try to talk to Cali at 3am with a shit ton of questions.

And just FYI I almost denied you the sale anyways before you bothered me, because you change your mind too much and may return it later anyways. You are high risk for that, hell, even you have to admit that.

But also, just like I said before, if I'm so bad at what I do, you wouldn't be the only one complaining. The internet would show more people complaining than just you.

I really don't get why you're so morally outraged. This is basically just a 1 star review. Do you get morally outraged at all the 1 star reviews you read on Amazon? It's full of it. Do you see authors harassing those who left them a 1 star review on Amazon across the Internet? I did business with you, I did business with CWL, I reviewed my experience. Negative reviews are part of business in this Internet age. I did absolutely nothing wrong. Sorry you don't like my opinion of your company, but as a consumer, it is perfectly acceptable to tell other potential customers about your experience.

Typically, when people buy stuff online, they read reviews before doing it. Both the good, and the bad. You make it sound like I have a special vendetta against you. Wake the fuck up, this is 2013, people write and review their experiences on the Internet, and people read them all the time. After they've read enough, they can then make an informed decision. On certain sites (like NewEgg) manufacturers are allowed A SINGLE RESPONSE, no more than a few lines, to the review, to explain their side of the story.

There is absolutely no marketplace on Earth that would have tolerated your behavior as acceptable business practices. None whatsoever.

You cannot personally attack a customer you wronged and call him names when you fucked up and he brings this up in his review. No company does this.

TLDR negative reviews are part of doing business, get used to them. All I did is I shared my experience with both you and CLW. People can make their own mind when they have all the information.

If I'm the only 1 star review you will ever get then why do you care so much? One negative review in the sea of hundreds of positives will be a blip. That is why the professional way to respond to 1 star reviews is exactly the contrary of what you did. If you go batshit crazy on everyone who dares review you negatively you'll never last.

Either contact the customer directly through email outside of the website, or PM.

I feel I was simply fulfilling my due dilligence by reviewing both my experiences with him and at CLW. It turned out my experience was negative, but I cannot deny the lights are good and there is a need and market for them, so I've said from the very beginning I wish his business success. I cannot see how it could be against the rules to write a negative review if it is the truth, which it is. Negative reviews are part of the Internet age and I always read reviews before buying any expensive products. We're talking hundreds of dollars here, not an unsatisfactory 5$ Big Mac. My customer service experience was horrible, period. It doesn't mean it's bad all the time. It was bad with me.

Sheesh if every company got outraged like that at 1 star review Amazon would be on fire 24/7.
