Edit: The A51 manufacturer had simply repeated his previous post to give the impression I have a guilty conscience (not "conscious"), hence planting a doubt in all of your minds that I might be a dishonest prick. This is a strategy often used in PR firms (discredit the opponent at all costs). Ummm...... I'm all for everyone being entitled to their own opinions, but that shit's just not true, Frank.

I own many, many LED panels; and Area 51 panels are neither 'amateurish' nor made in a garage.

Never had any problems with Jeff, always been forthcoming about his components and company. Sorry you guys are having issues.

I received a light in a plain carton box with some padding dropped shipped from China from him.

I received real retail packaging from CLW, with all the proper QC certificates, documentation, etc.

Compared to CWL, he's an amateur. His lights are very good compared to the Chinese knock-offs though. Hence why he has to price his lights like he does.

Plus, calling the documentation of other manufacturers "fluff" or "hookum" is definitely a sign of amateur business-ship. If you want your product to stand on its own, all you have to do is show the data and results.

My light came in a cardboard box, packed with foam and all the necessary pieces. Getting a nice box isn't high on my priority list for things to look for in a grow light.

There's no question CLW is a larger company than Area-51; I don't think that means Area 51 is amateurish however.

Plantphotonics, Haight solid state, Hans panels, and lots of other companies are small and might not have some of the production quality of the larger companies, but it says nothing about their products.

I understand you're pissed at Jeff, but his products are top notch. I know, I've used them start to finish and grown top quality bud with them.

The distinction is important, and this is why in spite of having nothing but disdain for him, I would still recommend his lights to anyone on a budget.

The "Christmas light" argument was in regard to the minuscule A51-60 compared to the size of the SS400W. I don't think anyone is deluded enough here to think Jeff operates in the same league as Cali Lightwork right now. Which is why each lights are priced as they are!

I do think his lights are good and there is a market for it, and more competition is good for the consumer so I do wish him success on that front.

And no, they are not built in a garage. They are not drop shipped from China. They are shipped from a warehouse space that I rented (shipwire.com Honk Kong localation). They are built by a factory that I contracted to do assembling.

I buy my LED diodes right from the manufacturer that makes them, I offer data sheets for those LEDs. If that makes me an amateur and not transparent, you seem to be the only person bothered by it. Your opinion doesn't really matter.

I wasn't comparing the merits of both light. I was responding to his comment that tried to insinuate I had stolen his light. I know you are very dissatisfied Frank, but you are taking this to a degree it should have never reached, this is an outrageous statement that not only insults someone who obviously has a depth of knowledge well beyond yours- large enough to open their own Company and go through all the hard work but build their name, their Kingdom.

Not only that, You have just insulted every person, such as PSUAGRO and I, FranJan and maybe even Dawg... that have ever been interested in CLW and A51.

I am praying a response along the lines of "I meant... the AF60 to the SS400.."
