Soon after he got arrested he came on this site trying to buy 80 thousand dollars Worth of weed. He ended doing a few months in a halfway house while others did years in federal prison...
it's never too late to start saving even now. Itemize your spending and earnings. Always ask yourself before a purchase, "do i really need this?"
Yes I agree. I have two lists, things I need and things I want . Things I need come first , things I want come second

I hear of people in my area and on the forums..not people that just wanna grow for themselves and relatives...but cats that smell a buck and wanna jump in head first. They dont know how tough it really is and think like I did abput money trees 20 years ago. I try to to tell them dont do it. Dont buy 10, 20, or 40.grand or more on equipment setup amd spots because its not like that anymore. They usually dont listen and most struggle amd quickly get out. I see or hear them selling gear shortly thereafter. On Craiglist and whatnot. Greenhorns thinking they can jump right in and be a baller...now??? Nope. They done missed the boat. Most anyways. Without any connections or gardening skills. Ive seen a couple last year in my town as a matter of fact. Lost there ass in 10 - 15 grand in setup. First it took them 3 crops to actually move product that was half assed decent. Then they struggled with a couple broker/buyers. And that didnt work out quite like theyd planned. Eneded up piecing product out while electric bills and other expenses piled up. They got caught with there ass wide open. I dont even bother anymore with advice. They dont listen anyways.

You're speaking the truth.
Another thing is that too many people hop on BS strain of the months. Or they just look at a strain name and don't realize at first that there's a dozen + breeders pushing out said strain.......and all breeders aren't created equal. Then over time some legit new contenders show up with good/great consistent genetics.
But the first few runs they push out some sub par dope.

No shit. I been growing indoors and out for almost 30 years. Damn near nonstop. From Michigan California and back again. Its all I know or ever cared to know. Iam still doing ok but NOTHING like the 90's and early 2000's. And every few months...prices get lower and lower. I honestly dont know what the fuk iam gonna do. I made bank over the years but pissed it all away.
Agreed. aint nothing like late 90's/turn of the century..it was good times then. Prices have dropped, but i've managed to keep my head above water and stay in the black..never been too low to where cost outweighed returns. multiple states and markets, been lucky enough to have always managed to keep my margins within reason.. .Could be better, but when i look around the country, i'm like, it could be way fucking worse.

Yup, exactly.. and whats worse, most everything that the big dogs are running are selected phenos of poly f1s. People dont realize that, see the famous name, think it's all the same, think they'll drop some cash on gear hoping to make a fortune, produce shit, b/c original was hunted, variations are limitless, impossible to find the Cup winner or whatever that made the strain famous, and the end-user suffers.

I dont run that stuff, i simply b/c I dont have to. (i dont want to either but the reason is another post altogether). I do just fine with my genes..

When the day comes that someone says "no" to genes from SSSC or TSB/SSB lines, and asks me instead for some "Platinum-Deisel-Sapphire-Cookie-Sour-Kush", or whatever the fuck, THEN I'll consider running that stuff..

20+ years and nobody has ever said, "give me the flavor of the month instead."

Am hoping you could expand a bit on these abbreviations, for my future genetic purchasing.
And I really hate to say this, but I miss Nancy Reagan and her bullshit...at least the market remained stable back then.

Have fun with that.
