Upper midwest. Tissue culture for inducing mutations or sourcing clones? My understanding is that it's pretty difficult to get a small enough viable sample for mutations, having multiple cells with different DNA is unlikely to result in a healthy plant...

I will eventually get into tissue culture.

Shipping a petri dish with some clumps of leaf tissue growing roots it a lot more stable than trying to send a cutting.
And this would be for keeping genetics handy. Imagine just a postage stamp size of living tissue being used to propagate thousands of plants. Shipped in an envelope.
