though the original theme of this thread is legitimate for sure, and is needed, i get muddled easily so i always refer back to 'the only true ethic i can live by is that i try not to hurt anyone directly or indirectly'...apart from that...go for it

There are quality breeders with reasonable prices.

Its money hungry, fame addicted wankers (GHS, dinfem, dodgy seed banks that breed their own seeds from originals?) that bring greed and possessive attitudes to ganja, our sweet mary j, kaya mi lovely herb...

collecting and databasing the wild landrace cannabis strains and wild type mutations that occur in gardens around the world collectively and with a sharing attitude is the best way for us to cultivate the best out of this plant.

think like hippies on the old overland route spreading hash, seeds, love and peace across the world.

:bigjoint:

Fuck y'all capitalist douche munching cunt monkeys. :fire::fire::fire:
truly tony deserves a bigger dick on his forehead? or even photoshop to make his head the actual shape of an ugly cock?...i would if i knew how...ooops just blew my main ethic of not hurting anyone? but fukit...tony aint human anyways

It was more regarding the argument against competitive pricing and the idiotic notion that "it's their business so a customer, or potential customer, isn't allowed to voice their opinion."

Just to be clear it wasn't singling any particular breeder out. DNA/RP, Rare Dankness, Gage Green, Sin City etc.etc.etc. are all breeders I am interested in but have priced themselves out of my garden for the foreseeable future. A good promo might entice me but other then that I've got what I am looking for.

I've got like a $2000 tin of beans sitting behind me, I've bought my fair share of overpriced beans and contributed to the problem :)
SinCity prices aren't bad they're packs usually go for $80 for 15 seeds so I don't think they're packs are overpriced especially since they have some good stuff in their beans. Don't feel bad I think we all have contributed to that overpriced fund lol now we just need to just make what got into something we love.

I'm like BDOG I'm only gonna be sticking with a few breeders

The problem is what has happened to the wider agricultural world where many game changing discoveries are patented, or in nonbreeding GM seed stock that farmers have to buy each season instead of self seeding some of their crops etc etc.

But the capitalist world order won't last much longer, and in times of trouble, I'm betting a bag of green will get you further than a wallet of green useless paper

yep like you guys I'm only sticking with a few breeders. I already have way more beans then I can deal with.

PeakseedsBC, what evers at Sannie's Shop(mainly Dynasty), and then Bodhi if I'm feelin like a baller. I haven't really explored many other breeders and these have treated me good with fair prices and ethics in my opinion so I have no desire to go elsewhere with a couple odd exceptions maybe.

PeakseedsBC and Dynasty prices are on point with the $25 and $30 packs.

I'd love to hear where all your loyalties are.

quality. verifiable quality.

archive, b-man, breeder btque, caramel kush from sweet seeds, clones from my boys, chucks from grow homies.

im mainly loyal to dudes i think are legit... & that play the game fair too.

there's a reason i never clicked on a rare dankness tab... greenhouse tab... or others.

watch what people grow.
what they cross & the results.
i can see influences of strains in chucks.

im over the cheap fem beans unless i just want the strain.

killer genetics trumps $.

but $ is nice if its right.

killer genetics trumps $ for sure I agree. and I'd say it's always worth the extra $$ if it's proven and stable and whatnot.

but I simply don't have the money to spend $100 per pack on everything I want to try.

and I don't live in locale where I can have choices of herbs I want. Shit.......the bag will rarely come with a name and even then it's always questionable. So I have to grow it to even try it and there's a thousand good looking/sounding strains out there. You could see where the problem of $100 packs arises for people like me.

not everyone lives on the west coast. :P

Is this ethical? I'm tired of buying commercial seeds and getting 3-5 phenos from a supposedly stable "strain". So, going forward (actually from about 6 months ago) I made a decision to utilize genetics on hand, and buy only reg seeds of genetics I want, specifically looking for males so I can make my own crosses/seeds. I say fuck these seed companies and ridiculous/greedy pricing and fem-only seeds. If you want $10/seed give me a reg or GFY. It's been more fun pheno hunting through my own crosses than buying seeds anyhow...
i wish stabilized seeds were stable!! sick of every pack having all different phenios.. im thinking only 1 in every hundred seeds is what the breeder claims the strain to be..they have pix and what it smells n taste like, yield,, then u buy, plant, grow, n a waste of money cause none are what u paid for!!!! bullshit!! i stabilize every pack of 10 i buy with the best male n female,,at least mine are stabilized or uniform...wish i could trust the packs i pay lots of money to be what the breeder sais they SHOULD BE!!

variation is the way genes work.
even if you inbreed you'll still get the runt, big fatty girls, different tastes, etc.

i dont think all lines need to be worked.
like little gifts, in a seed package, to make things like new crosses.

interesting thought, i dont think sannie is smart to have zero new strains.
though he works his lines.

I really do not think I would be growing,if everything was going to be the same..

If these nugs are a persons meds, then keep a clone...no matter what...its your meds

Every time I pop seeds, all I hope for is a plant, that puts out nugs.....yup I like seeing the frost, but it's not my first marker..I just have a real low expectations,or a more common sense approach...

im the same way.
i like to see the variation.

& i like a good bx (many times).

and when you can grab clones. do that. known shit is good shit.

love beans.
& when you grow lots, its not hard to swear them off & then buy them again.

im done for a minute.
got plenty of 20s to go through.
even doc's face off (bx2) i hope gives me a few nug choices and some males !!!!!

I like worked lines they are good but I wouldn't want every seed I popped of something to be the exact same everytime. I guess that would be good for a very very special cross or pheno but if your breeding with good parents wether they're landrace, true f1, 2 etc, hybrid or polyhybrid there would be a couple phenos that are good so I wouldn't want all them to be bred out.

I honestly don't mind the polyhybrid breeding because there's good breeders out there that know the parents they're working with and know how they breed so even tho they may not be true breeding strains the phenos isn't all over the place. That's not with every breeder tho so we all try lots of them to weed out and find what we like. I haven't tried a whole ton yet but been collecting different breeders the past couple years just got back into growing last year so haven't grown a lot of them but I know I'm liking Bodhi, SinCity and GGG really good. Gonna get to a lot of the other but I can say from those breeders that I've popped seeds most of the females were pretty good. I know there's many breeders with great plants in their beans I hear of them from you guys and I will those in mind cus there are ones that will get repeated over and I know which ones they are and I will get to them
