When I was growing up down there in the 80's, we'd usually only shoot the auto weapons when we drank too much ;) Lucky I learned to hold my alcohol by the time I was a teen :o

Why not just announce Detroit as "Law-less" nice move by the cops to get paid:blsmoke:
I don't know bro, I grew up with a bunch of dudes working DPD & DPF. Not only are they not making that $ there life is in danger even more so.

No one wins here, only the crooks that have came and went (some to prison). We were once the greatest manufacturing city in the world! WTF happened

75 million dollar cut, wonder why it got worse lol. The people we elect to lead us are so stupid.
society as a whole isn't doing to well in the intelligence dept. for instance the mass killings at the movie theater here being a setup by the pigs to get more funding for more pigs/guns/ammo/batons/flashbang(they like those real good) or to bring stronger gun control laws, whatever, it was one nutcase. both sides of the fence are fucked up.

It's a Union ploy for more $$

detroit needs more police, but if they don't like we're they work they should find a different city, township, county, or state.

Ive had jobs I didn't like and felt underpaid, I left and found a new job. They can/should do the same.

What happened to Detroit? Capitalism happened. Investors pulled out all their assets because they found a government elsewhere that was willing to help push down wages enough to more than make up for the cost of relocating their factories. Russia was one of them.

The "War on Crime" is a lot like the "War on Drugs" - if you aren't striking the root of the problem, you're just sputtering in the water enjoying the final moments of drowning. With the "War on Drugs," prohibition is the real issue. With the "War on Crime," the economy is the source of the decay and mayhem.

Government funds in and out of Detroit have always been an issue, just like in Chicago. We have some of the most expensive yet worse schools in the county. The politicians here have robbed the people blind and told them how good it was for them. To bad the reality is so stark :(

Not to mention that Detroit has gone through (as of today) 4 Police chiefs in 3 1/2 years, the last two were caught doing the dirty with other city employees! the latest is still married, and a pastor on the side, what ever.

City of Detroit isn't fucking with any patients or caregivers. I don't know what planet you're living on. Only busts in Detroit have been Feds or illegal giant warehouses.

I know I shouldn't be laughing at this. But I can't help it. This is the funniest shit I've seen on youtube since the "chechnyan driving" video or the "zombie prank." The nonchalant demeanor of the paramedics says it all - they must see this all the time. I had a buddy in Detroit who I was talking with when the Pistons won some big game in 2004 and it sounded like D-Day over the phone. Nonstop automatic gunfire, so much you couldn't tell any of the shooters apart.

Check some of the comments...

Yo i work in Southwest Detroit, and was working about a mile away fom where these ems guys got stranded on new years eve. (liquor store open til 2AM). Its nothing new its like that every year. We actually close the store from 12:00 to about 12:15 and stay away from the front door, because of all the shootings. This shit will never ever end. Sad to say
Lmao... it's bullet weather, folks! This shit ain't a drill! Stuff your heads in a steel bucket and hit the deck!!!

What i wouldn't give for the goddamn Batman to be real. In the meantime, i suppose it's up to us. i wish that inspired confidence.

Well it may not be the city but I have heard of alot going on in that area. But you may be right it may not be the city itself.

Not in Wayne county at all. Only place giving anyone issues is Oakland county. Suburbs in a different county is not Detroit.

They are. That's why they put out the news blurb. They are saying right in the article that they can't afford to stay, and the whole city is understaffed. Never been there, and I don't think I want to visit.

It's worth checking out. Just bolt some thick steel plates on the doors and fire a few hundred rounds at them to produce dents that will prove to any potential assailants that their weapons will not penetrate it.
