Is this what you were talking about?

Also, I happened to come across this. Would this be any better?

a final thought of the night just hit me.

should I go for a 18/6 or a 24/0 for the lighting?

Keep in mind they are slightly dried up do to that large light.

Morning Update: still looks like no recovery :( but its only been like 8 hours since ive placed it under a light so i might be overreacting. ill post more details later on. as well as pictures

Also, apparently temperatures are dropping to 65 degrees at night. Anything i can do to heat things up a tad?

I think the heat will be ok... if you have those CFL's two inches away from the plant. they will be happy. get ready for a week of slower growth. but she will turn around. : )

You sir, are a god send :D...

What do you guys think about this as a larger container for future growth?

lol looked soo much better when i did it by hand :D

yes that is the right kind of tote, you would need the solid plastic ones so its not see through. and thats a small one, they have bigger ones, you want the ones that are like 2feet by 3feet and like 2 feet tall. so stacked up it would be about 4 feet tall, the lids are un needed. that box could work great too tho. the plants on average when done are at least 2 feet tall up to... well 5,6,7,8... depends, i dont think you will be getting plants larger than 2 feet if you are flowering early.

k man, if you have a closet that right there could just be your container, it would alow more air movement and space. forget the totes, get some heavy duty 3-4 mm thick black sheet plastic, white too. they should be sold seperately at walmart. just layer the white over the black and line that half of the closet with it, secioning it off from the rest and making sure not to leave light leeks or open areas in it. ill post a few pics of my closet setup, i have a space just like the one you are going to use. a few of the pics are sideways just cuz i couldnt get the whole thing.

i use the shelf above it to store my ballast and bulbs along with other supplies i have.if you would want to get into cloning that would be a great place. since you dont have any ballast to worry about, and the shelf would be warm cuz of the lights, so that would help the clones. just make sure that durring the flowering phase that there are no areas light can get into durring its night cycle.

if you still want to use the tote idea that pic you drew up looks great man.

ok so just forget the totes? and pretty much create something thats kinda like a curtain around the area? what about vents and CO2? Im thinking the good old water/yeast trick (i think thats it) will be the way im gonna go. Im only looking to grow 2 maybe 3 at a time also. Im growing for the sake of a hobbie (which i desparately need) not for the money. And the good quality bud :D Ill probably sell a tad here and there to break even on the cost of everything but thats about it.

Ill work up some more designs :D

What i would need to grow;

Light Source.
Air Intake
Air Exhaust.
Fan
CO2

am I missing anything?

the co2 isnt too important, you will only have 2 or 3 plants, opening and closing the closet a few times a day should be enough of an air transfir for them, i have to leave my closet open because i have a big light in there. you will be using cfl lighting, when flowering comes i would get another lamp and y socket setup and go for 4 of those 26w cfls or hell better yet the 42wers... as long as you have a small desk fan at the bottom near where the door opens it will suck at least some air in. and if you want, another small fan toward the top will keep the air circulating, even leaving the door open a few inches while the lights are on would be enogh new air to cool the area and get the plants fresh co2. if you can aford an exhaust and intake system it would be optimum but with a small grow and using the lights you are its not nessicary.

like i said co2 isnt that important with small grows but the old surag and yiest trick works for a small boost. thats what i used... untill my cat knocked it over... got everything so sticky...

in that last pic i have one mother plant (the big one) at about 10 weeks old, its spread out and not tall because of LSTing it. there are 4 pots around it, 2 clones from mommy, 2 bubblegum seedlings. so the area is really only good for 4 or so full sized plants anyway. but at the same time if i really wanted to jam 18 of the small black pots i have in there for a small sog i could.

sounds good man! keep us updated, i wanna see it when its done!

Just about good to go.

Looking back at the plan, The top leaves are dead. That burn hurt them badly. Should i trim them off so the lower ones can get the light instead of wasting it?
Ill post pics of them in a sec. Just need to finish the cleaning process

no they have been streased enough, my plant got perty burned one time when i put it too close to my 400w. i wanted to cut off all the burned areas but was advised against it, i didnt and alot of the burned growth came back to life, so just let it work on repairing itself and not have to worry about being burned and having its head cut off. i know it seems stupid cuz its burned and seems dead but like i said, give it time.

alright. Well i went with my instincts and cut off only a small portion which was almost black!

My closet dimensions are as follows.
Under the shelf
42" Wide x 64" Tall (-2" for the hanger, so 62") x 18" deep.

Above the Shelf
42" Wide x 29" Tall x 16" deep.

I have pictures of everything now!

First.. my dying baby!!! :wall:

I want to cry :(

lol jk

And now my closet space :D

yea man, idk, you might just have to get some seeds and start anew! but hey, its all part of learning. closet area looks sweet. should make an ideal grow area.

oh ya. This was a clone handed to me by my brotherinlaw at random. Hes like heres this is for you.

So ya. I went out and say "Plant Light" and like a genius i bought it....FAIL..

imma see if i can get those lower ones to grow. and maybe get something out of it to get the whole process going

Still think i shouldnt trim? Or should i knock out those burnt ones?

you took the wraping on the rockwool it came in off didnt you?
ah ha ha no...

lol
Like i said, Completely new to this. When I got it, roots were coming out of the bottom of the rockwell, so i assumed thats how it would grow.

I just removed the wrapper before all of this :D

hopefully ill see some improvement.

Should i rewater?

I decided to play General Surgeon on my plant;

Heres what ive come up with

The leaves that are completely burnt to the stem, have been removed (1).

Those that have fully green leaves and stems will be placed at where they were.

and those with yellowing leaves but green bases and stocks with get hit with more light.

Come nightfall im going to shut the lights for 8 hours. To give it that regenerating boost. and then its back to my 24/0 cycle
