Eletric Meter Tweak

Have ANY of you ever had the electric company ask to see why you are consuming electricity? I haven't, and I've never known anyone who has. Pay your bills and they don't give a crap what you do. :)
wrong....................they do give a crap...its illegal for them not to...if u have 2500watt a day every day spike it "could" lead to a police investigation if u say had a 5000watt spike everyday it "will" lead to a police investigation just give it time. the higher the watts the higher the risk.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
ummm...thats a real pic i seen a special on tv about this and the guy next to him is the maker of the wind mill and j lenos his first buyer....of his bigger one...lol...ive used PS for years...that pic wasent PS'ed

Fletch: There may have been a tv show that had them there but that actual photo is photoshopped/I use Photoshop daily and have for about 8 years or so now.Its very easy to tell that particular photo has been shopped. To me its easy with the naked eye but if you cant tell simply by the picture itsself as looking around the edge of each person you can clearly see they were masked and cvut from another then overlayed into the one and it also shows where the guys has his hand on the turbine as the outline shows a bad cutout. You can also really tel if you yank that pictures demask it then defuse and then invert it the crop and outline tool trals show real easy you can then zoom in at the edges and see pixal smudging. So maybe for a better picture then super imposed 2 pictures to create the look they wanted but it is definatly a photoshopped picture and very very obvious

I want to beable to run 6k watts without suspicion . In order to do that i need to slow down my meter.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? i heard something about magnets.
I didn't read any further than the 1st post but I'll tell you, I have a friend that use to work for Duke power (our main provider) and he use to tell me about all the people gettin' busted growing due to them trying to flip they're meters and using magnets. This was at least 3 to 4 years ago, in other words. DONT DO IT!

The best thing to do for this, and it works, is to smash the meter with an iron crobar, peferably in the rain, in bare feet. Call the electric company and tell them bigfoot is attacking you. When they show up with the Ghostbusters, kick him in the nuts, and drive his van over a cliff. Tell the ghostbusters that it wasnt bigfoot, it was zombie jesus. They will give you one of their proton packs to battle him when he returns dressed as the easter bunny. Use the proton pack to power your garden. It has a half life of about 5000 years so you should get some good milage out of it.

Thats probably the easiest way to do it. While your at it why not set up a meth lab and kidnap little kids to work in it for you. This forum is not for criminals. Its for people who like to garden. Stealing is wrong.

If you are that concerned about a jump in your electric bill, add a few lights a month until you reach your goal, and dont burn your neighbors house down with bad wiring.

I've been browsing this forum for a long time, after reading this post i decided to register and give you my opinion.

9 years ago my uncle had his huge grow busted because he tampered with the power meter. His house (ranch) nestled on 150 of the most secluded acres you can imagine, was forfeited to the feds (he owed $39k on the 30 year home loan). Along with cars, guns and money that wasn't acquired through the grow op. In fact, he was 2 weeks away from his very first harvest.

A union electrician with 30 years experience my uncle. He bypassed the meter all together by wiring directly into the power pole transformer area (that takes balls). because his ranch was located in an extremely rural area, my uncle telephoned in the meter consumption reading to PG&E every month. Once a year PG&E would setup a time and date for my uncle to meet a meter person for verification of the readings (due to 4 locked gates and 16 miles of dirt road).

PG&E was doing a fly over surveillance of tree growth around the power pole / lines, they discovered the spliced line from the air. Needless to say, he lost his home valued around $1.3M (9 years ago), two trucks and a car. Along with family heirlooms including vintage Winchester 70 rifles valued around $70K each and he spent 3 out of the 5 year prison sentence received.

I don't know you and I'm not trying to tell you what to do but, your chances of getting busted for more than just stealing power are in the 75% range. No doubt a bust for stealing power for a grow op will make the local news. If your willing to sacrifice your freedom for a few bucks worth of electricity then you need help.
A much better way to get the power you need without ever raising suspicion is to rent a small warehouse with ample power. You can get one around here for about $750 Mo.

One other possibility would be that you change your lighting from 120 to 240. Don't quote me on this but I think it's cheaper on the bill.

Good luck,

Buzzard.

were do you live ??, because if you lived in england there is a method
the only method i know of is bypassing the metre with a copper cable so it skips the metre, or i've heard people have wired there electric up to a lamp posts but not a clue how they done that, so wat is this method u talk of :-)

Just put your finger on the dial that spins around and round to create more drag

6k watts shouldn't raise an eyebrow whereas 10k probably would. There's a case of Florida power and light called the police when a WWII bunker was converted, and they were suspicious of the amount of power being drawn. Google it if you don't believe it.

Let's say you ran a catering business out of your home, and added 2 electric ovens @ 4400 watts each = 8800 watts. Completely normal, especially when adding the cost of additional A/C another 1000 watts, but get over 10,000 and you will raise eyebrows.

haha the one you just mentioned, i know many people who use that method and my mate who works for the power company says they can only catch you if they come round to your house and see it !!, but even then im sure if hes cool you could work out an arrangementkiss-ass

i have a question regarding the digi meters . i always thought that these are intended to find the 12/12 patten to find the grows . im a beliver in the pay your bills and keep the 1000w per room in affect . (maybe 4000w total in 3bed room) . rule of thumb what are these meters for or are the turn dial meters a thing of the past .... i dont really think magnets could do anything thats an easy flaw that im sure the scentist/engineer the designed it would catch im very sure of this . looking at the disc that turns it looks like aluminum. i think this is a myth in my 7 yrs browsing forums ive only herd it talked about with no facts . that being said you can never pin point when the meter man is coming . hell id rather pay for a bypass b4 a magnet .. id never steal hydro id rather pay for it

Find ways to conserve energy elsewhere in the house to offset increase from grow lights. Make all increases gradual.

Everyone here has explained the risk.

But if you position a very strong magnet next to the meter, it will slow it down some.
