Eletric Meter Tweak

I'd much rather pay the bill than have those power company bots comin' 'round here buggin' me and the dogs.
Let's see, that's one seed for the power, one for the internet/phone/water . . . for what it offers, it's cheap (in relation to today's costs)

I recently called THEM because my meter slowed in March, then quit in May, and when Junes bill read 000, I knew I had to get her done. Did they thank me for turning myself in? No. Actually sent a threatening letter immediately advising me that the meter had been broken and that I was responsible for the bills anyway. Duh!

Go ahead so we can read about you down the road.
A 50 amp jump in consumption is going to be noticed. Thats about the same as 3 central air conditioning systems, or 50 100 watt light bulbs.
I If your neighborhood has a good mix in house sizes then there may be more than a few that already use that kind of power.
To go as unnoticed as possible try easing into it at a rate of 17 amps per every three months. This happens a lot as people start to gain a little success in life they may add a hot tub and then maybe they upgrade the a/c unit or build a shop and use it to work in. These little things from everyday life happen by the thousands at all of the billing centers everyday.
Ease into the power consumption and you'll never have to say "if only".

Have to say leave the meter alone thats the second biggest way people get caught next to showing thier grows to people. The rule of thumb to use is 1000 watts per bedroom in the house is fine then you can go up from that if you cut back on other places like use cfls or led house bulbvs. Turn ac up a bit, electric water heats wrap them and turn thermastat down on then unplug any electronic that has stand by as its pahntom power usage uses the same in standby as when on just saves the circuits.Shut computers down as they use 200 to 800 watts. Big tvs use a ton iof electric..Pay bills on times rotate 12 12 cycle do some during the dsay then have the same comeon at night when those go off. Use flipflop switches with th dutch method...do not steal power it will eventually get you caught..most meters are digital now except some of the smaller towns have the old spinning wheel they are coming around and upgrading and if your not there to catche them they got you and its big trouble.

Unfortunately Growinman is wrong when it comes to Power companies not caring as long as you pay your bill, if they notice a house is using to much electric you better believe they are going to let someone (popo) know . I know someone who grew commercially and always had paid their power bill on time and when he finally got caught he was informed that it was because of the amount of electric he was using. My point about the magnets is that they do work , and yes if you leave them on the meter and the meter reader sees it u will be doin time it is a felony not to mention you wont be getting any power turned back on either. And yes if the magnets get to close to each other growinman will need a couple of his boyfriends to come over and pull them off of his little fingers because i dont know anyone strong enough to pull them apart once they connect. Thats just my 2 cents

Flip flop switches basically allow you to set lets say 9 lights up it then flips certain ones on for a time then it turns those off and runs the others. It does it controlled so no power spikes automatically and the dutch use this in thier rooms so you get all the coveragrge but it acts like the moving sun so not all 9 lights are just on you set them in a pattern to cover as much as possible during the flip or flop times

........a couple of my boyfriends??? Sorry I am so unfortunately wrong and talk shit about something I know nothing about......try one of those magnets on each of your ears at the same time. I was just stating my opinions and trying to justify them in so doing. The magnet thing, well whatever(go for it), but now days it shows as a leak somewhere....as little as 10amps!<--and yeah, that could be a screwy wiring job somewhere a mile away. If they wanted and had the time they could pin it down with the numbers and check points. I never said the magnet dont work! Did I? It shows as a leak or missing power from somewhere, period. The more you take the more your risks of being discovered----especially with the shit they use now days.
I am done, call me all the shit you wish----I tried.

:peace::peace::peace:

.......something I haven't said: my wife retires w/20 next year from the p.u.d. office. So I have heard quite a few stories(is what they must be) and she's given up power records to leo herself. Yep. She says usually every month or so they come in and ALWAYS have a warrant----she also has said she's never heard of employees turning anybody in for other than stealing power------and code enforcement shit to the code office. She doesn't know much more than what goes on in the office......but even that has been enlightening.

sorry growinman didnt mean to offend u (really i did)Ive had a real bad day and after reading your thread i felt u came across a little arrogant and demeaning and i posted what i was thinking at the time with that being said i have never used magnets on a meter but i have seen it done and i always see people post saying that magnets do not work or thats crazy , I decided to clarify that point: they do work at least on the old spinning meters and there is no way for the power company to trace that. All the magnet does is interfere with the actual spinning of the meter , like i said it isnt worth the risk especially for someone who is doing it for their own personal use , i live down south and in this area the power company is definitely in bed with leo one of the top reasons for the 20 or so bust in our county on grow houses in last year.Im new to this forum and i shouldnt of took your comments offensively . Sorry growinman

hmmmmmmmmm......SUN POWER.....WIND POWER...is ur best bet....(solor pan's and wind mills) keep them tied off from ur power grid and use them with ur power grid u know....instead of using 6k from ur city...generate ur own like 3k...then only use 3k or ur cities power.....or go build a green house....the sun is the best lite u can use...and its free...but not constant

J leno has a windmill on top of his warehouse of cars...u can buy the same kind of set up he has for a little cash...well more like a little more cash but it will pay itself off...plus he has the biggest one u can buy...I’m looking into solar power panels and one of them windmills...the set up I want cost about 12,000$...but it will crank out about 1400 watts...an hr plus it has like huge batteries...I figure when I buy it next summer by the end of winter it will pay itself of...and my best friend is doing the install so it won’t be connected to my cites power grid...so they can go fuck them self’s...what they don’t know wont hart me HAHAHA...ANNNND....yes there is one more and...the windmill that I’m getting is not like one u see in Holland the one I’m getting is a tri axes windmill...sits on my roof and is only about 4 feet high... this is what they look like: this j lenos...mine won’t be as big....all it it is like 3 upright airplane wings attached to a spindal.

j-lenos set-p pumps out about 15,000 watts...he uses it to light up his car warehouses and hes tied into his grid...so all the power he doessent use the elicttric company pays him for...lucky basterd.

Fletch: Please don not tell me you would mess with your meter for a single 400 watt light lol if you dont have $15 A MONTH TO SPEND MIGHT NOT NEED TO BE GROWING AS ABOUT$15 IS ALL IT COSTS AND WONT SHOW ANY CHANGE IN YOU SPIKE LOL THAT LESS THEN MOST COMPUTERS OR TVS NOW ADAYS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the solor setups its best to tie it into your grid system as it benefits you much more as if its too cloudy and at night your normal power will kick back in and if your on a 12/12 cycle and have batteries the 12 hours your not using it it feeds back into the line making your bill go down and if you have extra then they have to pay you for feeding back power. A simple 3500 watt setup is about $28000 but most states and feds will pay about 60-80% of it in rebates, tax breaks and reimbursement via alternative energy use programs.I like how in that picture they photshoped Jay and the other guy into to make you think they were there in the shop by the turbine when they werent lol bad photoshop job too

It isn't against the law to use power, but you go stealing the shit, and that will get the cops at your door fast.

The electric company isn't stupid you know. Not to mention many of them bonus/reward their meter readers for figuring shit like this out. And considering what a meter reader makes a month, they'd nark on your ass for a Klondike Bar.

buy some solar panels haha that might work, how bout a wind mill.... you are worried about suspicion but going to steal power? not a great idea... seriously though you could get alot of small solar panels for fairly sheap that will run 6k watts as long as it stays sunny =)

Have ANY of you ever had the electric company ask to see why you are consuming electricity? I haven't, and I've never known anyone who has. Pay your bills and they don't give a crap what you do. :)
