Very blue, but the libs did manage to sneak 4 seats from Alberta.
Alberta seems to be more and more in play, the cracks in conservative Alberta started to show with the ndp victory, and now with liberals taking seats that they haven't been able to take in decades.

Calgary had become a shithole to live in, heavily conservative and not so friendly. The dynamics of the population has really shifted and Mr.Nenshi has helped the city become a friendlier place, more inclusive and IMO more willing to vote for people who aren't conservative.

It's a start toward something bigger in Alberta if the leaders both provincial and federal can show the oil sands and everyday citizens a better way.

Lol I agree.

I'm speculating on how that might change, or uh, continue to.
The conservatives held Alberta fiercely for 40 years, after living in Calgary for a decade or so, I'm happy to see a small victory for anyone but conservatives in the area.

I'm hoping for Calgarys sake ( because it is a beautiful city and can be a great place to live ) the citizens take a step back and go against the status quo. I'm happy to see that starting to happen and having seats filled by opposition and not just a heavy handed party.

I see Alberta and I think they only vote cons or else they would loose like 90% of the employment out there for being environmentally hazardous

That's what they like people to believe, tbh the way our economy works and it's heavy reliance on the oil field that's just not true.

No government except maybe the greens would introduce legislation that would really harm the oil patch and destroy the economy.

There may be some measures that cost small amounts of jobs to better protect the environment, but in all honesty it would be nothing like what has happened with the tpp that looks to cost so many jobs in Canada that Harper had to promise 5+ billion to sectors before the ink even dried.

All smoke and mirrors in conservative Alberta.

Only problem I had/have with the LP's and Health(?) Canada is them making money off, or in the case of HC, harassing sick people. Even in a new/legal system though, at least patients should eventually have their meds covered and tax deductible.

if you need a DG-do it
if you need to buy from a LP-check BM first...haha
if the LP get it together, give a quality product as well as give it a DIN so we can have insurance cover it, that would be great all the way around
