What? I say I didn't think UB bashed tents. How is that an untruth...geeze, I am not trying to pick a fight here.
Cuz he did? Listen, thats a grown ass man your spending time defending, thats a grown ass man whos avatar you copied before you changed it last week. Funny thing is, I dont know scooby, but a few days ago you were being real peaceful because it was just you n UB, the next day you guys had some back up n then you joined in on the name calling. Dont be a pussy, be a man n defend yourself the same way when you have back up or when your alone, no middle ground on that. I just want to know what purpose Dynagro has in UBs garden when he already has all the dry salts needed, thats all, he isnt soilless n he isnt hydro, Liquid nutes would have no place on his farm that I can see, but im sure its cuz a dumb newbie and im hoping to learn something. And im not trying to start a fight either, just askin a question.

i just don't get how a guy who says he owns a nursery can't take a picture of some of his plants. i took pics of my plants and i just have a little farm. i'm a developer, i would't have a problem taking pics of my tools or something i built.
Yeah but ur a 12 year old kid from ohio.lmfao

Oh....and I changed my avatar because I like this one better....that's all. I was damn proud of that plant and as I said before I copied UB's pic as a tribute. I won't apologies for liking how UB grows as the more I emulate his style, the better my plants are.

I don't think UB called anyone dumb for growing in a tent.....he just said he never grew in one and used parts laying around for his set-up. UB is abrasive, and gives everyone enough ammo to shoot back at him....but you don't have to make stuff up about what he said.
yes, yes he did...Does this shock you? It doesn't me. We don't have to make stuff up about this old man. He inserts his foot directly into his own mouth voluntarily it seems. It's ok tho, I've suffered from the foot in mouth affliction before too.

Unlike some, i'm able to admit it.
Sorry but post 851 says "tents are another voluntary form of enslavement just like scrog", past posts have been made saying scrog's are for dumb newbies who buy into forum myths, so if u say a scrog is for a newbie who buys into forum myths, and then compare a tent to a scrog, then ur sayin tents are also for newbies.
yup, exactly
UB did say we won't catch him growing in a tent. He also accused the tent for causing high humidity which is not true at all. I don't have humidity problems in my tent. Then he goes off with a rant about my comment lol. I know he means well but he needs to tone it down a bit.
he means well???? Since when? He's acted like a jerk to anyone who disagrees with him since i've been a member here.

No, I believe it was wisconsin....

I'm still awaiting some evidence backing his claim on the hps/mh issue. I'll assume @ this point none is forthcoming.

So after a bit of thought on this and after reading some of ub's more recent posts it is obvious he has very little current experience growing indoors. The photo in his avi is his best reference and as someone else stated it looks like a polaroid.Probably from his "experiments" some thirty years ago too.

By his own admission the "experiments" he did were some thirty years ago. He posts pics of outdoor plants but no indoor....nothing recent anyway.

and his post here also implies it's been awhile.
  • When I was growing indoors I constructed a very cheap "room" consisting of a flexible lighting system, moveable reflecting panels that were made out of 1X4's, very large furniture cardboard panels, screws, staple gun, drill, can of white latex paint, dog chains and hooks, conduit, etc. Grew the hell out of pot for next to nothing. It was a non confining dynamic system of growing with no RH or heat pressures.

all that being said, I am not looking for a fight either....Just some proof of the mh/hps assertion made by him.

you know, the one that literally NOONE else backs up.....

It is kinda funny tho how he calls me a AN lover when I have stated recently and frequently that I do not care for the AN products I have tried and like using DG.. Then he calls me a dipshit LOLOLOL

who exactly is the dipshit here???

kinda like a dog chasing it's own tail

Yeah, he acts like a jerk.... I am not going to go down to his level of bitching. He knows his stuff, he just needs to go to mannerism 101 ha. He needs to keep his ego in check! As for HPS/MH issue. I have grown plants straight HPS from start to finish and got good results! I don't do that anymore since I can't use too much HPS lighting with my portable A/C unit running. My breakers just won't allow it. Veg with T8 and flower with 600w hps currently. Its personal preference IMO not a fact.....

Tents are mobile, light-proof and provide better odor control because the good ones are built with that in mind. Negative pressure ......... no knock and talks.......nuf said.

don't forget he pretty much invented dynagro and brought us the 600w light. next we're gonna find out he actually invented the internet. avoid and deflect. avoid and deflect.

he spent an hour trying to tell me that you can grow outdoor in the rain forests of costa rica where i live. tried to compare it to acapulco and puerta vallarta mexico. those places are highland deserts. this guy probably thinks mexico is south america. and no offense...i'm not trying to smoke any dirt mexican weed. they haven't had a good strain in 30 years. "acapulco gold"??? are you kidding me? that was 'the shit' at WOODSTOCK bro!

ketchup on everything :)

ever try it on mac and cheese??

Da bomb :bigjoint:
on mac and cheese? oh man...you need help. that just sounds nasty. :-P

Im not here to bash UB at all, nor am I knocking Dynagro, what I am conflicted about is how one can say synthetic nutes dont change soil composition, google effects of synthetic nutes on soil composition and listen to people way smarter than me, that buying a store bought liquid nute is cheaper than buying raw, wtf is Dynagro made from, raw+water, that tents are BS, when legality is an issue tents are great and aside from that they are relatively inexpensive and work great, that MH /HPS wont produce a more compact plant, we have all done it and we all know it does, how does a spectrum chart from 15 years ago impact todays lighting, it doesnt in the same way that my Nokia flip phone from 95 doesnt compare to my Iphone today, they both technically do the same thing but fuck you if you think im buying another nokia flip phone. Iv read the Lucas formula is bull shit and its NPK is way out of whack, sorry but me and many others got our start with it and it produces well and is simple, that hydro is just a fad, seriously, the internet was just a fad at one time also and now look at us. If I were growing outdoors in soil me and him would agree on damn near everything but as far as indoor horticultural advances over the past 20 years, the proof is all around this forum. They used to make a crank that you had to put on the front of your car to start it, hell I dont even have a key now.

I never said you couldn't get good results. Hell, i've done it too. My ONLY point was in how mh promotes shorter growth.... This is a pretty established fact among indoor growers...not personal preference. I mean, like only EVERY book/page or thread ever written on the subject says it is so. And the fact that after decades and decades of people growing indoors it is common knowledge... almost a subject to laughable to debate imo.

I mean, I wish he were right on this. I really do. I would love to get rid of all my mh's and only run one type of bulb.

and five gallon buckets lol...don't forget the buckets ;) ( I know, I know someone else said that but it is funny)

seriously tho, any reasonable person would also understand that even within a country there are certain microclimates that would be more or less conducive to growing a fruit as sensitive to humidity as mj.

also how many people cannot grow outdoors for security purposes.....Even in a place like costa rica
.

hell, i've still got the handle laying around from my grandpa's old crank start tractor......the tractor is long gone tho unfortunately.

I invented the 5 gallon bucket gimme my credit fucker. I take credit for 5 gallon buckets, water, hydroponics(thats why I needed to invent water first), HID lighting(cuz my other inventions would be pointless without it) and marijuana(cuz I needed somethin to grow with my inventions). Im a fuckin rocket sturgeon

All of the boys giggle.

Turn out the lights now, time for bed boys.
