Yo net, took some pics... but haven't gone to work since December and that's where I'm gonna load them. I am revegging 3 of the plants to see how they compare with their DWC brethern. First plant didn't yield much, second one/mr. jolly rancher (probably cause of the urkel influence) produced quite a bit more. I cut down most of the third tonight (left some to try the re-veg) and it yielded in between, but no sickly sweet candy smell.

By this weekend I'm gonna take down the other 2, clean my veg room, and throw some plants in there in DWC!!!! I promise pics.... (even though I keep forgetting.. today I didn't take pick until after harvest- dough!!

Nice thing is that I have one plant that really has a special smell, hopefully it cures well and the high is nice- It would be my first keeper!!! (AND I have a clone I vegged out to re-clone and flower!!!!!).

All the best to y'all

Lol, I thought the same thing, but i got some extra money to burn and figure i'd just save my self the work and get it done nicely and right, plus comes with nutes, ph control kit, hydroton, rockwool and everything else Ill need.

Only question is what do you do while the new seedling roots still have not grown enough to make it down out of the rockwool and into the water level. Just water them from above or is there enough moisture from the bubbling water to sustain it?

wuttup everyone. i'll be starting my firtst dwc in about 9 days. decided on the lucas formula with flora series. clones from my nearby cannabis club... mostly indica strains. i could use any sweet info since everyone in this club knows probably everything there is to know about dwc growing. good luck to all and pics will be up in about 3-4 weeks!

What I did was buy some cocotek. Its organic and superior to rockwool. Germ the seedling and when the tap root breaks, get the net pot ready with hydroton and make a small placement in the middle of hydroton and stick the seed in there about 1/2 an inch in the cocotek. Then hand water until the roots are out of the pot.

If i germinate them in rock wool will i ever need to transplant them out of the rockwool or can I just let them live out their life in the rockwool and hydroton medium.

well if this goes well and I decide to stick with hydro then I will make my own larger setup.

Well thats the thing, you want to germ somehow but if you choose to germ straingt in rockwool then just stick that bad girl right into the hydroton and hand water. I swear by cocotek. This is mine!

I may switch to the cocotek at a later time but i figure since my kit is coming with the rockwool might as well use it.

Im just hoping to have better luck with Hydro, took me a while to get decent with soil and still its easy to get things all messed up with soil, hydro seems to be a little easier to maintain ideal conditions.

Knock on wood. This is my first grow but problems are almost expected with the first. Easier if you get the hang of it. I'm still trying though!

Good luck man but I think you'll find it takes a bit more baby sitting than dirt ever did. Advantage is faster grow, that's the goal I'm working on.

Peace

Well, it is a VERY cold morning 9 degrees, wind chill is -12.
Went to the barn early and found everything good. Water temp 68, fixed that issue.
One bubbler still floating DARN IT!
But, I got a lot of roots now. I'll pick up a cable for my camara today.

Peace

Morning all-See we have some newby's-Hey all. Thanks Token! I like since I lsted her all the buds are straight up. Got about 4-5 tops too. Next res change when you wash out tub, dry bottom before you stick cup to it. I had one doing the same thing, should stay if bottom is dry before you stick it.

Siksol, my kit came w/rockwool too. First you need to soak it in ph'ed water over night. When placing in net pot put some hydroton on bottom then rockwool, then fill around, easy! I usually germ in paper towel then use a pen to open hole in rockwool, stick it in taproot down. It stays in there the whole grow. I have even re-used it. Fill tub to 1/2-1 inch below pots, no nutes untill roots hit water. Bubbles will keep rockwool wet. Sit back and watch em grow. Hydro is way easy. What kit did you get? What lights do you have?

Looking good Eddie! Cool cabinet!
