Hey Matt,

when u say fresh frozen trim is the best to use, do u let it thaw out or keep It mostly frozen when u make Dry ice extract? Or any type of extract for that matter.

ant type it helb to blcok the breakdown of chlorophyll and and also to break the stem of the tricomb off from the plant matter. the colder the better. in fact i dont hear about it alot but its worth it to put a bucket of dry ice underneath/ around you bubble/extraction bucket.

fresh is only better because is "stands" rather than "breakdown" and go through the screen. dry will yield more, but it will be lower quality.

Just ran across this thread, thanks for the info.
I just took down a couple of plants and I have a big pile of trim and I am going to give the dry ice a try. I have a bunch of bubble bags so I am going to start with my 120micron bag and see what I get.

Before you change your plan or switch methods clean your bags with alcohol and then wash them with some dish soap and let them dry real well. The mesh gets clogged. Happened to me with my 73. I was shaking the piss out of it and when I switched to a bigger mesh a lot of plant !material came with the kief because I beat it up too much trying to figure out why I wasn't getting anything. Seems obvious now.
