Down the Rabbit Hole with ColdArmySoldier

Thanks everyone. I just harvested the "short" pheno of Grape Ultra and it is looking awesome! Yielded much more than the tall pheno and I think it would have been my keeper if I didn't fuck up my garden haha.

Speaking of garden, I cleaned my veg room/closet and flower tent with lysol, 10% bleach, and alcohol (and repeated). Not as good as a steamer, but hopefully it will do. I transferred all the Qush (Pre98 Bubba Kush x Space Queen) and Dairy Queen (UK Cheese x Space Queen) into the flower tent and put my 4 bulb 2' florescent lamp in there so I can veg them big since i'm not using the tent for flowering. I transplanted all of the plants that I am sure are girls because of pre-sex into 5 gal. buckets with super soil and I plan on giving them 2-3 weeks to build up roots before flipping them to flower (5/8 total female). As for the boys (still not 100% since male pre-flowers are harder to nail down), they will stick in their small gallon pots until I can sex them by light cycle. That being said, it looks like I have 1 Qush male (pretty sure) and 2 DQ females (only confident on one), so if anyone wants a boy to breed with let me know. I also cloned all of the plants successfully so I will probably have some extra plants laying around for anyone if they want. I'll also try to take some pictures of these plants now that they aren't stuck in a small herb rack any longer.

As for outdoors, the Dank Sinatra is starting to take off. I've been pretty busy but I will try and post some pictures within the next week or so. I may put one of my extra DQ clones out for shits and giggles.

Thats all for now. I know it is a little dry when there are no pictures. Thanks for stopping by :)

Just cleaned out my room as well, and I must say... looks way better now. We all get so busy it's easy to drop your guard and let things get out of control.
CAS- you ever need to borrow my steamer let me know, it works awesome! Only requirement is you have to use distilled water in it, leaves no deposits on anything that way and prolongs the life of the steamer unit.
Glad to hear sinatra is starting to 'sing' :)

Thanks for the offer Mac, I will probably take you up on that with subsequent cleanings :)

Dank Sinatra is starting to take off.

Introducing little miss Romulan (true Korean IBL). Thanks Indi!!!

I turned my flowering tent into a veg tent for now to allow my DQ and Qush girls to get bigger. I also took a lot of clones so I will probably have some extra for any of the core CO RIU crew to play with (including males). Here is a little shot, the girls are in the 5 gal. buckets.

I also have a party of Box Elder Bugs outside our entrance. These things have been mating like crazy!

box elders SUCK!!!!!!!!! had em out on the farm and they would literally cover entire tree trunks and barn/garage walls. sick to see an entire wall of those things moving .... creapy little SOBs

Excellent, since he is wanted I went ahead and transplanted him in a larger pot so he stays healthy and happy.

EC, here he is smiling for you :)

I can keep him in veg for another week or two for you. Just let me know when you can take him.

Thanks everyone.

I've finally found some time to take some pictures of the girls indoors. Flipped to flowering yesterday, so the following pics are Day 1 of flower. Also, I have 3 large males (~15-18" tall) that I am also checking to make sure they truly are boys. So this is the LAST CALL if you are interested in one of the boys (1 Qush, 2 Dairy Queen). Once they show they are for sure boys, they will be getting the axe. I also have smaller clones of each male that I will probably hold onto for another week if anyone wants a smaller plant. The white balance on the zoomed out pictures is a little goofy so the plants look darker green than they actually are. Now onto the fun!

Qush 1 - 14" tall

Qush 3 - 15" tall

I've been using wire and a tomato cage to position the plant so that all the main tops are approx. equal length.

Qush 4 - 17" tall

Dairy Queen 1 - 17"
She wasn't too happy about the hot soil which leads me to believe she is cheese dom. (I remember Subcool saying UK Cheese didn't take well to super soil).

Dairy Queen 4 - 21" tall
She LOVED the super soil and is starting to take off. She may end up needing some top dressing. So far she is my favorite.

Thanks bshdctr! Just started four Cognac Kush (Querkle x Plushberry) seeds from Firehouse Gentics (Chef C) in rapid rooters! After I pick my Qush and DQ phenos, I will be starting 303 Seeds Ski Patrol. Lots of excitement to come, including Romulan!

Excited for that sweet sweet COGNAC KUSH... The plush male was beautiful.. Pinkish red calyxs frost on the flowers and the unmistakable smell of the PB. The querkle mother had a really indica dominant profile.. I gave some of the bud that the seeds came out of to a friend one night, and he couldn't drive home :) she had great grape flavor, was stocky and short, rock hard golf ball sleeve sized nugs and was a great yeilder... You love that for sure... Bring on the COGNAC KUSH!!!

Cognac Kush babies! 3 of the 4 have sprouted already. Looks like the 4th is just a little behind.

The veg room is finally start to fill back up. 24" x 21" closet. Mostly filled with the DQ and Qush clones.

So I kept getting annoyed with cloning single plants because I normally used a large dome and tray for clones, even if I was only taking a few. Since the regular dome and tray takes up a ton of space for only a few clones (you can see my veg space is limited), I thought I would just make individual domes to save space. They are simply a plastic cup with a clear dome cover (no holes). I just used my normal method I picked up from Subcool of upside down rapid rooters (so they can stand and don't need to be held in a oxygen restricting tray slots) that have had the bottom pre-poked with a pen and just sprayed them and kept them in the dome and would open it and breath in fresh wet CO2. It has been working beautifully! I already cloned DQ4 as a test so I moved onto the Dank Sinatra. She is looking too awesome and I must bring her inside. So far I am 4/4 on clones, even in the heat.

I was in the outdoor garden today so I can't take pictures of Romulan tonight, but I will soon. She is looking awesome. I will also post pics of the outdoor girls where I just put out an extra DQ clone in a 7 gal. smart pot I had laying around. I am also having some issues in the flowering room where I don't know if the problem is heat, over-watering, nutrient burn, or a combination of the three. Thanks for stopping by!

A peek at the girls outside from when I got home today. The big one is the Dank Sinatra and the small one is DQ. I had an extra clone of DQ so I figured I would throw it outside instead if killing it. Took it with my iPhone so the HDR made the DQ look lighter green then it actually is. I moved them now so they get more light than before.

Yup she is starting to flower. I'll snap some better shots soon. I wish she was bigger, but it is probably because she is getting like 50-70% full sun. It's funny because I started her in early June so she wouldn't get too huge. I guess we will see if she stretches during flower, but I doubt it will be much based on the plant structure. The DQ is growing like crazy and it will be interesting to see how big it gets. I can't wait to see your girls finish up outside. It is looking like a jungle at your place!
