Things have been going well. Thanks for the love guys! I've been a combination of busy and lazy so I haven't been on RIU much lately. I just moved my garden so I haven't had much in flower lately. Just getting it back up and running. I'll post some pictures and details on my new, much larger, grow setup I have now. Finally out of the closet!

CAS, or anyone else that knows, is the z7 typically nitrogen hungry? She's pretty light green color at moment on the tops, lower leaves are dark green. Less than a month of veg after transplant to a 5g pot and I think she's sucked all the N out of the FFOF that I'm growing in.

Bubba have you checked out your ph? We had several plants recently in ffof soil get nute lockout due to the ph being in the 5 range and actually Hermied one from the stress. Hope this isn't the case for you.

Thanks man. No nute lockout.... more like Nute suck out lol

She's a greedy princess. Gave her a stiff drank of Dyna Gro a couple of days ago and she has better color today, but I think she's ready for more

Sorry, I didn't see your question earlier. I didn't notice my Z7 being extra hungry. From the looks of your pictures it does look a little like a pH lockout because of the purpling stems, but maybe that is just an artifact of the picture. I grew mine with ~3" of SS in the bottom of a 5 gal. bucket and she finished perfectly.

And yes, this cut was tested for at 9-10% CBD and ~ 5% THC.

Thanks CAS, she's definetly a keeper - excellent CBD ratio! She's growing like crazy and her color improved some after the last feeding, but she's still pretty pale. She's getting a dose of guano tea with some AO organics grow formula added in - it will be a high dose of N..... we'll see then. She does have leaves down in the canopy yellowing off similar to when you flush at the end, so I think it's a case of under feeding....

CAS, sorry for spamming your thread, but I wanted to share what I learned about purple stems & purple leaf tips in the last few days. I think generally the purple stem is a sign of N deficiency.... see the attached excerpt from one of Rosenthal's books.

However, I could see how you could get purple stems from over feeding also if you pushed the plant into a lockout at which point it becomes deficient of N and you get purple..... in this case I guess is when you want to flush with plain water. In my case, they were just hungry. Nice new green everywhere.

hey everyone, thought id post some pics of my grow here in CAS's thread since hes a fellow vet and there is a lot of good growers in this thread.. hope you dont mind CAS.
this is my first grow for probably 8 or so years (not smart to grow while in the military) but im excited to get some feedback from yall.
2013-12-13 00.02.37.jpg2013-12-13 00.02.49.jpg2013-12-13 00.02.54.jpg2013-12-13 00.03.00.jpg2013-12-13 00.03.06.jpg2013-12-13 00.03.10.jpg so thats basically my setup right there. vegging under 1000w mh right now in a coco/perlite mixture produced in CO. using hempy buckets, and botanicares cns17 coco line with some other stuff like liquid karma and silica blast. these guys sprouted about a month ago, they are in 5 gal buckets right now just vegging out, getting ready to take some clones. as you can see (or maybe not) i have been doing a lot of training to keep them bushy and low and i modified some tomato cages i got for cheap at home depot for them to hit when i kick in flowering. the small plant in the first pic is about 10 days from sprouting, gonna transplant it to a 3 gal hempy probably tomorrow and when its roots hit the res ill probably start flowering..4 of the plants are DrGreenthumbs East Coast Sour Diesel, the one in the 5th picture is a Bubblegum i lucked out and got as a bagseed from a local dispensary (AOM). and the little guy is a Reserva Privada Skywalker OG. i think everything is going pretty well but any feedback would be awesome. keep on smokin! EDIT: if you look closely some of the leaves have some damage to them, i was told this might be damage from the light because i misted them when the light was on a couple times *durrr* and i have seen absolutely 0 signs of pests, i have the sticky strip there ( and a few others not shown) just so I can identify anything in case I do have some kind of insect but so far nothing..

I don't mind at all magdiddy, post away :)

I think things look spot on in your garden. Another thing that could cause damage is if you have a fan blowing directly on the leaves all the time. I really like your training setup and those are going to grow up to be beauties!
