The 'Oak' documentary is every bit as good as the decomposition one, so worth a watch, if you can find it somewhere.

I agree, those 'Hammond' doc's were good, been a while since I watched em though, might do a refresh of them, did micro worlds or something?.................the BBC have got that much money to spend(our money), that If you mix it with someone who's got true enthusiasm for the subject they're portraying, you end up with quality documentaries.

Just watched gardeners world on BBC and found a huge revelation for me........'Plantain' weeds root systems are fully loaded with mycorrhizal fungi and they grow abundantly around here. Gonna do a little more research on them, but I think I've found my natural source of myco-R. They were just digging the soil around them and adding that to new plantings............so simple.

Very nice finding. More cannabis growers need to expand in research like this. I am guilty of looking up only cannabis related growing topics but once I started to look into just growing in general and the amazing world within. It opened up a entire world for me and broke me of having a single track mind

Been busy as at work and having major issues with lights and environment, setting the new room up(the vent system for my small tent is acting like a dehumidifier in the main room and it's staying bone dry). It'll get there, just have to get stuck in this weekend.

The AHB buds are swelling now, despite the look of the plants and things are starting to get really floppy. I think a full mainlining would have been a better option with this plant, the main branches are OK, but any side branches off them can't hold their own weight.

...............and the FP is still getting FAT and starting to fade a little, might start seeing some purps now............

.......hmmmnnn, this plant's actually got me puzzled. It just sort of stopped doing anything about 3 weeks ago, it's not developing any further and just doesn't wanna finish.............so, it's getting the ice treatment every day till it finishes or dies, pmsl.

I think the issue could be too many nutrients and too much activity still in the soil, so I'm hoping the ice stops any nute cycling completely and starves the plant into finishing...................purely theoretical though

Yeah I've been seeing that too - that organics' plants often don't do the senescence thing.
And I totally agree - our soils don't run out of anything, so unless the plant decides she's done with this world, given we don't have storms, running wildlife, and all that in our rooms, it'll just hang out and live forevvaaaaa haha

Got 5 visible C99's, the Blue Iguana are dragging their feet, it's only been a few days I suppose and I've heard they could be quite old seed stock, but not sure how true that is. There's a lot of rumour and skullduggery within the MJ seed industry IMHO

A lot of great inspiration for me. For one I am looking to make an FFJ right now. I'm in the tropics so following the original recipe isn't hard (mango-banana-papaya), though getting assured organics on a few may be. Couldn't find any papaya and mango today at the organic farmer's market, may settle for some store bought and discard the skins...

I have a male plant that I am thinking of saving the pollen from then chopping him up and adding to this FFJ now, thanks to you.

Hey how do you collect and save your pollen? I've collected a bit in a folded piece of baking sheet paper, but it still seems to stick to the sides. Then I placed in a jar with rice in the bottom in my fridge along with a few of the flowers I cut off. I rubbed some on some flowers the other day so hopefully I stored it correctly and its been viable. For this reason I haven't chopped the male yet as I am now almost to week 3 of flowering since flip and will probably dust one more time for safe measure. I've searched around on the internet some but I think I may chop him into a big plastic bag and shake the shit out of it then add some biodynamic rice flour I have here to make it easier to handle then put right into the rice jar for a few days in said plastic bag, or maybe transfer over to saches made from the non-stick baking paper and seal. I may try and save some for a later project by placing in the freezer a few days after...


Ah, another note on the FFJ I just wanted to make people aware. It is not recommended you add papaya or pineapple to worm bins as these fruits will dissolve your worms due to their enzymatic function. I'm not sure if it would change much through fermentation, but I wouldn't recommend adding the strained pulp unless anyone has had first hand experience with this and can attest to no issues...

So glad you've found inspiration from the thread.........I'm totally new to pollen chucking too, and your description of your harvesting was very similar to what I did. One thing I did find while researching is you should remove any flowers if you intend to try keeping the pollen. The flowers hold moisture and can cause the pollen to rot when sealed up.
