DOG Kush LED Grow Journal

See now that's what I'm looking for just having to scrub air not vent 25+℃ out of an airbrick in the side of the house. Knowing my luck though it'll be too cold during lights out haha. I'm still not sure of how much space I'm gonna have, might have to ditch the tent and grow in a walk in cupboard. still though if I can sell the tent and two digi ballasts I'm half way there on buying the led's I guess.

Hell yeah good luck with tryin to get em Don! I always have my lights on an opposite schedule. So my veg will kick on around 6am and be on til 12am. My flower, kicks on at 6pm and goes til 6am. So theres always something on creating heat. I really need to get one of those thermostat plug things so i can regulate the temps a little better now that my veg has been switched over to LED, and soon my flower. Im used to using that heat to my advantage in winter haha. Hardly something to complain about though. Gonna check everything out tomorrow so ill have pictures up then. Should be puttin em under the LEDs by then. Might give em a few more days in the clone box.

Really interested how you and jig do with these LEDs. I know when I was looking a year or so ago they were too pricey yet and unproven. Plus they used lenses instead of reflectors with multichips. I may not dive in right away but if I can cut $30 or $40 out of my electric bill due to not running the A/C as hard, it could pay for itself fairly quickly.

Me too! Im to excited to get this shit goin. Ive been researchin the LED game for a while, trying to figure out easier ways to DIY, so when i found multi chips and COBs i was amped because one LED can output the same as a dozen wired together. My main road block was soldering and placing all those 1-3w leds on a huge heat sink. I was in the process of saving up to make my own multichip led panel similar, but not nearly as well made as the grow evolution panels. Researched about them more and found that grow evolution was the only company using multichips so far and the lights were pretty inexpensive compared to some others.

Then i did the math and saw that thet grow evolution ones werent that much more than my own diy build (factoring in the hours put in and the stress and high potential to break/short things). So i said fuck it and got em. Ended up spendin alot more than planned but it seems like itll pay off.

Im already gonna be saving from fans and shit so i cant wait to get the real numbers when summer rolls around and i gotta toss the AC back in. Im plannin on movin out of the tents and into a basement with B&W poly walls so if the stars align the basement might keep everything cool enough to have to barely run the AC. In a perfect world. hahaha.

Just gotta get my 151w led panel so i can do my next mini cab run with it instead of the hps. Do a little comparison like im doing with this grow.

Alright, so the 3 with short roots ended up dyin. I think i waited a day too long or the paper towel got dried out.

Either way i have 5 DOGs in veg right now, popped 4 more seeds yesterday, hopin they all do well so i can get at least 8 out of the bunch.



The 4 new seeds i popped in the clone box with the heat mat on.

Besides the few seeds that we killed, everythings goin as good as it can.

It sucks because all im thinking about is that one of those 3 that died was the pheno of all phenos.

Luckily i still have about a dozen seeds left even after you count the 4 new ones i threw in so a do over pheno hunt maybe due after a few runs of the pheno i plan to keep.


I finally got a video editing program that runs good on my computer so ill be posting videos any day now and a link to the youtube channel i started.

I swapped out My 2 TBS10's for the 3 square Bud Boss 151's in my Test Grow a week ago. The amount of Trichromes coming in is INSANE! I tried to get some pics with the flash at lights out, but the Whiteness was too intense for the Focus! I will try again with Normal lighting and No Flash to see if I can Capture the GOODNESS!

Was that Video Editing Program Freeware by Chance? I would like something compatible and FREE!

Well i tried about 5 freeware ones and they all had an obnoxious way of cutting clips and importing things so i deleted them and went with adobe premiere elements. Torrent, cracked it, patched host files. Done. Even updates for me. Elements is nice because im used to usingg premiere pro and this is just a stripped down version of it.

I dont always pirate, but when i do, its Adobe products.


I cant wait! i saw you had the 3 square ones in there. Im so excited to see the harvest from the 3 big ones i got. After seeing all of you guys get good results with them im even more excited!!

Ill probably be postin a video today, depending on how long youtube takes to upload it. We all pay for download speed and get raped on upload speed. I have 6 or 9 mb/s download but barely 1/2 mb/s upload.

The only rule is grow the DOG, a dog cross like blue pit, or even your own cross of the DOG. Most people are about where i am or a little further ahead. Early veg.

You can come as early or late as you want hahaha. Its not so much a contest, but a compilation, because everyone wins with the DOG. But there will probably be a vote to see who the winner is for shits and giggles.

It all started up when i was askin the guys from BB about the dog and if they had any old pictures/advice about em. Soon enough the whole crew was posting pictures and talking about the different phenos and which ones they liked they best. Funny thing is i wasnt planning on running the DOG for another couple months but when all the buzz started i got too excited and had to pop em. Then we started the DOG OFF haha.

On top of that got the LEDs so i figured if i was gonna go that hard i had to run multiple seeds and not just a couple of a different strain and then clone one. Too slow of a start with a full LED set up like this.

So i popped 9 of the dogs, 5 lived, popped 4 more the other day and im waiting and hoping to get at least 4 out of em. Within a day or 2 from now.

But pop your DOG ASAP and join the party!!!!

In about 3-4 months there are gonnna be a bunch of high asses goin dumb on that thread.

Im pheno hunting so i plan to keep my favorite, which i hear is a harder decision than with most strains. I like em to grow short and fat and love a good producer, but im a sucker for the sativa kick and the fuely/chemy/rubber taste of the sativa leaning phenos.

Grow it big, take a handfull of clones, and toss her in flower!! Thats what im plannin to do. Got my seedlings goin, grab a few clones from each, flower the mothers, pick my favorite, take clones off the clones, flower the clones, pick my favorite, and if its not the same the master debating will happen hahahahaha.

hey budbro, i'm loving the contest idea. BB should be shelling out for prizes imo.

you cant have a contest on the site unless approved by the owner, it has to do with out lawyers.
If you want a contest and just have bragging rights thats fine
but anything involving prizes ect, needs to be approved by the owner. and every member needs to be allowed to join.
