So I could have made an account with a dog forum, but those cats are fucking so god damn anal. In their opinion everything except extremely over priced shit from Petsmart is dangerous for your dog..

Now I'm not talking about burnt motor oil to treat mange, but instead home remedies.

Here is a couple of mine.

For my dog's coat.

Grease from rendered Bacon, pork or beef to give him a shiny coat.

Gold bond for hot spots and deter itchy skin

Benydryl for allergies

Eggs with the shell (the shell of the of the egg is extremely high in Calcium) and a great source of protein.

Fleas

Red apple cider vinegar about a tsp in the water bowl

Garlic

get a plate filled with water and dish soap place a little candle in the middle and burn while you are asleep and fleas will jump into it and DIE, lol.

These are just a just a few, I will update more in a little bit..

Please share your ideas and hacks

I give my baby one scrambled egg a week. I'll have to see how he likes it with the shell lol. Idk bout lathering with bacon grease. Seems like it might attract bugs o_O
I've had to take Marvin to the vet about 6 times already and he's only about 10 months old. He had a hemmoriod at 2 months, vet gave me some preparation H, or something similar that's used on humans. Then at about five months old, he was attacked by a wasp the vet suspected. His face was crazy swollen, scared the shit out me. I thought it was a snake bite. Vet recommended benadryl, swelling had gone down tremendously by the next day. Now he's been itching and licking alot lately, vet recommended benadryl and cream used for athletes foot, and he seems to be getting better, rarely licks and itches now, thank god. I love my bubba

Lol, the bacon grease is put onto their food.

Sorry to hear about your dog. benadryl is great for allergies just make sure your dog has plenty of water, because it will dry them up pretty quick

got a cure for dandruff? ms sandy pants has it so bad, it's all over the yard...
believe it or not, I do use head and shoulders for my pitbull. My dog has crazy skin allergies and it's about the only thing I trust..

however some disagree with the zinc can be fatal to your dog, but I think these people who make these claims are only going on what the read and not from personal expirence

i was only joking, she doesn't have dandruff, but must have sensitive skin.. she's the most loving dog ever, but try and get near her with the flea and tick liquid crap, and she goes nuts.. won't let us put it on her...

we're struggling with poop eating. The 1 yr old has eaten the other dog's poop off and on since we got him. Tried the pineapple thing and it didn't work.

at least sandy's smart enough not to eat her own shit, she only eats the cat shit instead.. once in awhile, we'll catch her in the cat pan(s).. :(

vocal as in barking, or more so, talking, if you will?
just curious as the neighbors dogs don't seem to bark much at all, and in fact, sandy is much more the barker than those two combined..
and man, she's half lab, half hound, and has the most incredible sniffer of any dog i've ever had.. she smells the front steps and knows when someone has been over...
i also know when we have mail because she'll stop and sniff the mail box if the mail man has been here for the day.. it's really crazy what she can smell..

no missing fur, but can see a few fleas on her from time to time.. we comb her with a flea comb, and find a few here and there, but she won't let us get near her with the flea liquid stuff from the vets.. we do use the flea and tick soap stuff, but i think that shit is about worthless tbh..
