Does DYNA GRO need added micro nutrients?

Watsup guys I have a question that I need answers for from anyone experienced with this brand.

Do you still need micros with liquid GRO, bloom, and protekt? I got something that looks similar to iron def. and some growers say I need micronutes but on the bottle of the dyna GRO it has all the trace elements. By the way I'm in the right ph range. it's in a DWC. On the bottle it say you can use it for hydro and doesn't give a specific ph or additives needed so I'm playing with the ph right now to hopefully sort out an issue...does anyone have any advice for this brand in hydro? Thanks!!

5.5-6.0 is a good range to be in for hydro so unless your water sucks or you're feeding like an a-hole, DG should be trouble free by itself.

You don't need anything besides bloom, gro and protekt (and maybe PH adjusters), and I doubt you *need* protekt. If you want to add shit, Spray and Grow 1-3 part is a cheap foliar feed (don't overfeed if you using Bill's perfect fertilizer)

You can add vitamin B and superthrive and mycorrhizal spores and bacteria spores and probably 50 other things, but you don't need them.

Im quite curious of this as well,

went to the good ol hydro shop the other day and they stressed that with RO water "I should use Mineral Matrix with my DG."

I run RO with Cal/Mag+ by Bot, but I am thinking the Matrix may be a better "all around micronutrient" option; only big issue with it....it doesnt have any Calcium...hm.

Any input on using this with DG?

Um, DBL post much? luckily i use lazarus, so this is easy....I probly wouldnt bother to retype it tho...

Um, im not aware of DG being short in any micro nutes. in RO water id use protekt, grow, and magpro. start to finish, maybe toss a lil bloom in with a cpl waterings in flower, but would always use the grow formula. look around, theres plenty of use growing with DG, and we all have come to the same basic amounts of each to use.

this is for reference only. like i said, we all may go a tad heavier in one way or the other, I use, per gallon of water - 2-2.5ml protekt (add to water first), 5ml grow, 1-2ml magpro .. in flower I MIGHT add another 1-2ml of bloom (mainly because i have it, and want to use it up) I also a cpl times over the plants life will use floralicious+, again, because i have it.

with my water, i dont even have to check PH anymore, i know its at 6.2-6.5, and around 4-600 ppm +/- usually. i dont worry about being to specific with the numbers. mother nature doesnt, and they grow fine for her.

Thats a pretty broad statement! Many strains require additional nitrogen or other elements in a higher concentrate. All strains are not created equal. This is where my answers differ from sources like HB, I tell the truth not try to sell.

Nutrients are manufactered as a general recipe. Don't be fooled, depending on your strain you will have different reactions to different formulas. The use of additives like cal/max is a standard practice and is just one product you should have in your line up no matter what type of nutrients you use.

You need to be careful with statements like "DG should be trouble free by itself" because unless you are running the exact product Dyna did all there testing on...you will run into issues. This goes for all nutrients out there.

Personally I would look further into the PH thing and water temps, do you have a ph meter?
