Do you think weed should be legal?

Weed is a way better and natural depressant. Many companys advertise legal herbs but these are weak and not very effective. Not to mention the push on prescription medicines. Don't you agree that cannabis, is a way better form of helping people. Not to mention the wonderful commnity it creates but the overall benefits it brings to peoples lives. Pot is wonderful in so many ways, yet is ridculed, and given a bad name. I think it should be legal to grow and smoke marijuana anywhere around the world. For God gave us all plants, whether you religious or not, its a good plant. Which needs to be given a better name. Peace:blsmoke:

I personally think just leave it where it is. Go get a med card. bambo grow/ smoke anywhere. Im in Canada, soo I dont know about the States. but if its legal it will completly destroy all the fun. If you want it legal Just go to the doctor and say your depressed and cant sleep. He will give you pills. Go get a couple bottles over a couple months. then go back and say the pills work great, but you get bad haedackes sometimes now. He will give you more pills. do the same thing get a couple bottle over some time. Then say your getting headackes more often and are taking the pills more often and they kinda make you feel sick, and cant eat for the day. He might give you pills for when you feel sick. after about a years time from your first visit go to the doctor and say marijuana seems to be helping for the feeling sick and helps immensly for the deppreshion but you dont wont to be buying illegal drugs all the time ,and he might just give you a med card.

p.s dont take the pills, and do some research first and find a doctor that has been known to prescribe marijuana for meds. It has worked for many.

it DOES need to be either legalized or decriminalised. Prohibiton does not work its been proven time and time again, even the simpsons had to do an episode on the stupidity of prohibition. personally i dont think any drugs should be illegal. i know that things like crack/coke/heroin are extremely dangerous but, so is rat poisen, so are Machettes and you can buy either with no problem what so ever. you could argue they have other uses but, so does weed. at the end of the day the fact that it is illegal is going to make certain people all the more interested. if it was legal we could cap the age at which people could use it. we would be able to control the potency of the shit were using, we could ensure that no harmfull junk has been put in it and we could control the places in which the substance is used ensuring people dont OD or do anything that could harm them.. on top of all of that the profits it can make are endless.

One of the main reasons that I would like to see it legalized is that I am tired of feeling like a second class citizen, being frowned upon for being a toker by people who go out at the weekends creating havoc after consuming way too much alcohol, worst of all...and I may have said this on another thread...is having to be made feel like I am some kinda criminal just cause I grow a few plants for personal use. I have known a great many people throughout my life who have had severe drink problems, my own mother was an alcoholic which made my younger life hell, yet if she quite simply smoked some buds for a high all my problems would have been solved,eventually she drank herself do death, so I know it has been said a million times before but alcohol being socially acceptable and perfectly legal when growing some plants is something that can land you in prison is nothing but madness. Rant over, :roll:

Personally I feel that all drugs should be legalized. Any problems that may be associated with drugs, problems that typically are associated with "harder" drugs can be dealt with in a much more positive manner than simply trying to lock people up. There are many positive reasons for taking drugs along with many negative ones. Legalizing them will enable facts to be available and people would then be able to make educated decisions before using them. The so called war against them is being lost, by legalizing them you remove an element of criminality from society that can only help. Drugs have always been used and always will be used. My only concern with legalizing them would be that they would become very heavily taxed. Growing your own would soon remove that cost though.

United States government should not have any say in what its ADULT citizens consume for their own needs and or pleasure.

nice guys, i agree with it being legal. But i dont want companies like philip morris running it. Who knows what theyll add to it, not alone give you shitty brick weed. I love marijuana and i believe its possibilites for good outweigh its negative rep. But its not for everyone, or everyone doesnt wanna use it. But those who do, hey let em have it. Love and Peace

Philip morris... GROW! I don't know I could get used to smoking rat poisin.

The tobacco thing is bull though truth claims it contains plutonium among many other incredible claims. I guess they started processing tobacco inside of fast breeder reactors. Don't believe everything you hear.

If it was legal there would be a massive untaxed black market do to all the grower's the government would see a small fraction of tax from consumption, however I could see brown outs in Cali ending. This is also one of the major things stopping legalization. Hippy Pot heads have themself to thank mostly though. Its their completely emotional outlook on life that is stopping legalization. When did we lose a sense of nationalism in our social evolution, when America became great?

Marijuana is not a drug it is a political movement, I wish more of the republicans would come out and admit to using. I have seen statistics where a higher percentage of smokers are republican voters than anything else, however they have no voice. I am libertarian by the way, Ron Paul was the man if the state votes to make marijuana illegal than hell yah thats the people vote and it should be illegal. I think in America we need to get back to Majority not the Minority. Isn't that how the vote is supposed to work? Right now smokers are actually the majority over 40 sum percent have smoked and are ok with it... many more don't smoke but don't really care, and what about those who don't admit it my favorite person Clinton to be exact and you know that fucker Bush did.

I halfheartedly believe that weed would still be illegal but law enforcement would look the other way, if only there was not this "Get up stand up, stand up for your rights" movement.

All we hear are these bleeding heart liberals with tye died shirts and peace signs preaching the love of the seventies. We need more like Barry Cooper and Arjan in the US. People that aren't hippies. Don't get me wrong I am in college and think people should be loved but at least I have a stoic world view. Ironically most of these bleeding heart types I have met are extremely religous which I am, yet they choose to ignore things they don't like, especially bible readers.

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
ecclesiastes 3:1-8

This pretty much sums up how I view the world. Don't even get me started on bush haters there are reasons to dislike him the war is not one of them (patriot act, decreasing liberties, and the bullshit energy bill that hurts the environment more than it helps) these are some reasons to loathe him as I do. Soldier deaths during both clinton and bush administrations are shockingly similar. Clinton death toll 7500 Bush death toll to date roughly 7400.
What did Clinton accomplish with that (bombed an aspirin factory). www.fas.org/sgp/crs/natsec/RL32492.pdf Granted Iraq was a mistake but hindsight is 20/20 and everyone knows terrorist groups were funded by Iraqi's. We too funded them but that is another story of government idoicy.

I just ask people to use their brain is all. Is it too much to ask as both sides are equally corrupt? I just hope mr socialism walking talking sphincter spear gets shot! and McCain I hope he has a natural death soon. Anyway those are my opinions and I am most likely wrong and will believe something else down the road but good comments so far!

legalize all drugs people who want to do heroine already do it. I wouldn't go shoot up just because it was legal and neither would most people. I would maybe do a little coke at the club now and then but I wouldn't use it any more than I have in the past. People who want to drugs can get them the only real question is if those people deserve to be punished. I don't think anyone should be punished for something they do to themselves that doesn't effect others.

If addiction leads to neglect then arrest them for neglect not for addiction.

legalize it, like previously stated, it is far safer and more effective than alcohol, yet drinking alcohol is an American past time.

people go to sleep when they overdose on weed. an overdose is over using a substance, using too much weed will make you sleepy. better to be sleepy in a comfortable enviroment than a stair case. **i know its unlikely to ever OD on weed but, people mix drugs which can really fuck you up.

Email said my feelings to the letter. We're talking about possibly THE most benign plant on the planet; how long will this insanity last? We are focking ourselves out of huge global benefits from keeping this beautiful plant (hemp, not mj) illegal - and it's all in the name of "profits". The drug companies will lose millions if not billions; Dow Chemical will lose millions if not billions. It's a superior fiber to anything. It grows on the widest range of soils from equatorial to near the 60th parallel (N&S). There are so many medical benefits - PROVEN, yet our stupid government had rather throw citizens in prison & ruin their lives, break up their homes and piss away billions in tax money to put them away. They ignore proven medical research and the potential $$$$$ to be made growing hemp and the beneficial (green) effects of having millions of acres of oxygen producing, carbon monoxide sucking plants. Sorry, I have to get on my soapbox on this one; can't help it.
